I can't believe Chiron the centaur is back. I wore a centaur costume for the last few years and haven't seen him around.
Some years I see him and some years I don’t but I wasn’t sure if he was a permanent cast member or not.
@@SuttonStops Many of my friends are cast members and say they hadn't seen him in years. I heard he was sick maybe.

I am afraid the Chiron will not be back, the person that played him passed away in January 2020.

You missed the fireworks! But thanks so much for recording so many of the sights and sounds. I can almost smell the food too. I went a few times as a kid but the family never made a tradition out of it. Then I got some free tix two years ago and I went 3 times that year, and I was hooked! Picked up a kilt outfit and embraced the whole kaboodle. I absolutely must needs go every year now. And stay from 8 to 9. And drink a flight of Scotch. And do After Dark. And camp out. And, and...
they got rid of the chariot races also
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your videos of TFR . I was working in Houston 13 years ago and fell in love with the Renaissance Festival. I was a long way from home, so I would go to the Renaissance Festival almost every Saturday and it was always an amazing journey. I am hoping that one of these years I can get back down there again. I filmed this on opening weekend. We didn’t get to go this weekend, but we have seen the fireworks and filmed it before because they absolutely are awesome! Glad you got to see them!

I’m so excited for TRF this year! It’ll be the 5th year in a row that my boyfriend and I go, and it’s one of our favorite places in the world. Maybe one day we’ll step out of our comfort zones and camp 😆 (also I’m pretty sure it’s cause I’m hormonal rn but I totally teared up when the bride walked by 😭)
Stephanie, I’m so glad you guys enjoy TRF! It is a fantastic FAIRE and definitely a fun time! You guys should camp for sure! It’s a whole different experience that way! And they have quiet camping so you can stay away from the rowdiness if you want to, or you can go down to bonfire and join in. We stay in quiet camping for the most part, unless we go walking to visit friends. Awww, so sweet about the bride! I know, she looked so beautiful and you could tell she was so happy!

Was at RenFest today. Celtic Christmas. Was first time there.
Jana we also love Avalon Leatherworks. True story - before we were dating, we were "just coworkers," I witnessed John buy his hat from Kelly in 2010, it's written inside the hat. Next year, when we were dating officially, he bought me my first hat there. We try to buy a hat each year there (sometimes the hat is for one of our kids or someone else). The hat I wear almost all the time is his hat for our wedding, also bought at Avalon, but I have not allowed him to wear it a day since (that was 2015) - it's MINE now.

This was actually form opening weekend. We weren’t able to attend this weekend when the weather was perfect, Drat! We usually film on weekends and Mondays and then post on Fridays.
