Wasn't really a fan of Nikko before, but the more I see him play and see him evolve his game I really like the dude. I really enjoy watching the more technical courses rather than the wide open ball golf type courses. Thanks for the vid dudes
Well said. I also much prefer both playing, filming, and watching videos of more technical courses over ball-golf style courses as well. Honestly I'd choose to film a smaller tournament over a bigger one if the smaller one was on a more interesting and technical course.
Definite sub for sure. One of the better disc golf videos I've seen in a while. Only thing that would make it better is the discs being used but I'm sure that's a ton of extra work. Looking forward to more of these.
Thanks for the positive feedback and thanks for subscribing! I do agree that it would be cool to know what discs are being thrown at all times, and while you're right that it would be a lot of extra work in the editing process, I'm mainly just concerned about putting that kind of burden on the players I film, having to either ask them what they threw after every shot (seems like poor etiquette), or approach them all after the round and ask "hey, do you mind telling me what disc you threw for every shot of the round?" It would be cool for sure, but it just doesn't seem feasible to me at this point. Of course I do try to get players from the round as guest commentators as often as I can, and they always know their own bag and often know some of their competitor's discs as well (Proctor knew a lot about everyone's discs in PHP #5).
You know, you don't often get to hear a world-class player talk so candidly about what he's thinking during his shots. Thanks to Nikko for sharing his insight. Very good commentary here. Much enjoyed this vid! oh yeah, cool pants . . .
Thanks for watching! And I agree, there's nothing that can compete with the commentary that pros can offer on their own shots - that's why I asked Nikko to do commentary with me for this one!
Great production. Really liked the layout screen details and commentary about the nuances of each hole. Also, good play by play commentary. How about a fresh look in Nikko's bag now that he's back to throwing a mixed lineup?
Interesting to see Nikko throwing what must be a mixed bag now.....I guess him & the Prodigy thing must be over with. Curious to see how many of the players stay with Prodigy.....
+David Halloran Haha. I totally noticed this a day or two after I released this video and I'm surprised it took this long for anyone to point it out. I'm not sure how I mis-saw it twice during the commentating (first in the coverage and then in the highlight reel), but it was not my intention to lie about it! Honest mistake! :-)
Thanks a lot for the excellent coverage, and it was my first time ever hearing Nikko commentate, and I enjoyed listening to him a lot. I have always defended Nikko's passion, and his outbursts, as I am an old guy, and I remember being a hot-headed young guy!
Yes, this was indeed Nikko's first time commentating anywhere - he told me when we first recorded this. I'm surprised he had never been asked by any other disc golf channels because he's got so much personality and character, plus of course he's extremely knowledgable about the sport, so he's an excellent commentator!
Great coverage, thanks.
Fun looking course, lots of shots
What a trip back in time. Drew Gibson looks so young!
such an awesome video - great commentary - thanks for posting....
Loving your videos, please keep them coming.

Love the coverage and commentary, but Nikko's putt was not between the "V" as mentioned a couple times. Clearly putts left of the "V"

nikko do you remember James Jefferson aka little man. at the night tournament you aced hole 8 I think and you signed one of my disc
couple of years ago
I really want to know: Does Nikko have multiple pairs of those weird pants he's always wearing in videos, or is that like his lucky pair of pants?
Any idea what Nikko threw on 15? firebird?
what brand of bag is nikko carrying ?
Lol you all missed the easiest putt we all been there tho
