That little man had me sweating...gripping those cards like my niece holding her pet kitty by the neck. Be careful. 😭😭😭
same but we were all the same as kids some times it felt like they used super glue on those packs but it was our little arms that were the issue
@@Kegstand86 Yeah, I see what you mean. Folks from the previous generation might've thought the same with what collectibles are now. Like, "Wonder what this'll cost down the road someday."
Holy?! I've been gone for a couple hours and thank you for all the LIKES! Jk, I refreshed the comment section again and again. The numbers kept climbing. Once more, thank you all, lol. ☺
Cute how he like the Chimera 14:33
Haahha
That man deserves to have a physical card shop again
What happened he lost it?
@@BlackRose-rp7kv back in 2015, I think he said
Some guys prefer to do shows nowadays actually say they do just as good if not better and you don't need to work 6-7 days a week
@@johnharvey4582 fair, but I just think that he deserves to have a shop
I'm pretty sure he makes way more money doing showsn
imagine selling old cards and a crazy guy comes over to old packs and sniff them like a maniac xD
And then he just drops 3k like what lol
@Notorious 885 its a joke dude
Wouldn't have it any other way. The power of collectibles. I walked into a trade center and a dude litterally brushed my nino Nakanos hair lol
💀
I played all These realeses in a Card Shop, good old days
Don't let the kid open them!! My heart got out of my chest 🤣
For reals i was yelling and punching my phone hahahaha telling that kid to handle them good
I felt like having a dejavu cause this kid is the exact same age i was back in the days when i opened these packs when they were new.
I kinda feel its a very nice move to let the kid open and have even in today making kids the same experience we have made all when we were young.
I'm impressed by that move from him and it makes me happy on a different way :')
Istg lmao
Sorry I hate Kids. When I forget why please save this video and send it to me when I forget 😭
@@OnePieceCollector ruclips.net/video/ug6fmR3YCPw/видео.html this is why you should hate kids
That kid pulling those cards is giving major anxiety like relax bro, be delicate
He is the prime example of what we did as kids and the reason why they are so expensive now lol. Good for Sam by letting the kid open the packs
What do you expect from a lil nickel?
@@panthers865 definitely nice of him to let the kid open them, but should have also told him to be careful. Kid could have learned a good life lesson as well.
That was a damn good price. Glad to see there are still some real collectors out there that aren't trying to sell everything for insane amounts and enjoy helping other collectors.
Lol huh? Those were pretty overpriced
Man spent $100 on THREE packs lmao.
your comment makes no god damn sense. Isn't the whole point of him buying these, so he can sell them in 10 years for an even higher amount?
money is money
@@TheWon23kid mf they not made no moore
The nostalgia I got from seeing those sealed tins and starter decks.. unreal. I remember them stacked up at ToysRUs. Hope I can see you open them at some point. Thanks for the memories!
I remember buying them with money I saved up when I was young. Sadly my old collection that actually held some value got stolen when I was 12 or 13. It was over 1400 cards! It hit me hard back then 🤣 now as an adult idc, but I still wonder what I could’ve sold those for. Bc the current collection I’ve rebuilt may outnumber my original but it doesn’t have near as many 1st editions. Fairly certain the most valuable cards in my current one are the few stragglers from my original that didn’t get stolen bc they happened to be displayed bc I liked the way they looked, so they weren’t in the giant stack that got stolen. It was literally a stack of cards about a foot and half tall.
Jim has me questioning like how did he get there? Why did he hold onto these this long? Out of all the stock his store had what else is left? That man is the o.g put some respect on his name foreal
Cause the longer you hold something valuable the expensive it will become. It's a good sales tactic to learn.
@@mysticstrikeforce5957 I mean obviously bro
He’s truly is Solomon Muto, holding onto legendary packs.
Do you smell your cards?
"No, not THOSE ones"
My mans out there sniffing other types of cards @6:15
😂😂
Imagine walking around those card stores and seeing some strange person yelling out Jim and sniffing cards 😂😂😂
Damn bro as a Yugi boomer this video took me back to the beginning. I remember all those tins. So many memories flood back.
I use to walk to the store next to my family’s restaurant with my big brother and we would just buy hella packs and open them 😂😂 wish we kept up with them instead of ruining them 😂
Love how this takes me back. What was your first yugioh starter deck?
@@thisguy368 oh man mine was the Yu-Gi starter deck from I believe 2002 or 2003 then I got the black luster soldier version when that came out. I actually remember opening my first ever pack of Yu-Gi-Oh and pulling a piece of exodia from legends of blues.
@@acidpepsi7111 The good old days.
@@thisguy368
My first deck was the Lord of the Storm structure deck with the wind archetype winged beast monsters and harpie ladies.
Jim is the man, may the heart of the cards be with him
I still find it crazy how things like PLAYING CARDS become so valuable just because they are old. It makes me happy that i got into Yugioh about 5 months ago
just got into it because i pulled barrone de fluer from a couple packs recently jumped into pokemon and magic but ill stick mostly to yugioh and pokemon
I pulled infinite impermanence from duel overload
Yh it is insane I play yugioh and collect pokemon, I have like 6 charizards from one of the recent sets vivid voltage, I wonder if they'll gain value over time
well they're not playing cards. they're trading cards, huge difference lol.
Its because theres a high market for these cards and not the reprints
I guarantee you that Jim dude is like my dad and has a bunch of cool stuff that knows he can get a lot of money for but doesn’t trust the Internet with his debit card and refuses to list them and waits till he can go to an event to sell them in person. ❤️💙💚
I remember those tins...
Remember going to New York City to the big Toys R' Us and going back home on the train each time (like once a year we went) and going home with the Kaiba tins and the Jinzo one.
Ah memories ;(
Sam pulling a $2 super rare from a $33 pack: YOOOOOOOOO 💀
That kid got to experience something not many in his generation will ever do - pull from original Yugioh packs (a tin no less!)
I can't believe that Duelist Alliance is nostalgic for me now.
I first started playing the game in 2013, but DUEA format holds a special spot in my heart.
Sam just paid for this man’s mortgage 💸 👏🏼👏🏼
I remember getting fury of the deep and the fire structure deck that came out around the same time. Me and my father would always have the classic water vs fire fight. Miss the good ol days
I had a friend in elementary school who had a number of fire themed monsters in his collection that came from the Blaze of Destruction structure deck.
Take a shot every time Sam yells "JIM" in this video 🤣
Please, Sam, when you store these, don’t put them in your shed. Find a safe, climate-controlled environment to store these if you are investing in them.
This should be pinned
How can we find Jim , dude has a treasure chest of nostalgia
asking the real questions out here, might just sell his stuff out if we had access lmao
Oh my goodness!!! I use to live in St.thomas and knew Jim when he was closing his shop! 😊 so happy to see he is still selling his stuff from the store. Wow those cards bring me back lol
That's awesome.
Watching the kid opening those super expensive packs and bending all of the cards was absolutely nerv recking ngl. Still great video as always!
Dude insane!! My favorite tin is the red eyes 2002
Mines the dark magician tin form 2002
Those wasted meme were killing me 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 i cant lol
hahaha everytime the "JIM" comes in, i have to laugh my a** off man :D
No money can buy the feelings behind this packs, thank you
Wow it is remarkable to see all of those tins in such good condition. It's already hard to find those online it's AMAZING you were able to find them at a convention like that. That's awesome!!!
That joey structure deck 😱😱😱😱😱😱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I screamed when he let that kid destroy that PSV pack. Why is he grabbing the cards so fucking hard!!!!! It's a 1 gram piece of cardboard. Never do that again please.
Chill man, it is just a bunch of bad old cards
@@joaopedroribeiro1483 imagined if it was a jinzo lol
@@btlv yeah yeah, sure sure It was super easy to pull the chase or even good cards
@@joaopedroribeiro1483 I mean don't get me wrong, it's cute and adorable for Sam to let the kid open the pack. But it's a pack worth over $100 and cards inside could be worth thousands, just not something you really want a child to handle.
@@btlv it's a pack worth over $100 filled with garbage and maybe a really small chance to get something. Sam most expensive card was The foil tribute to the doomed. $40, he would not likely make profit with a insane mirror force or summoned skull.
Yugioh has bad pull rates now and then, whatever
Bro had me dying inside when the kid was creasing the first edition cards.
Me: "Hi can I get this pack please?"
Sam: "JIMMM!"
13:19 laughed a lot
Old school yugi packs/tins always takes me back 💙 I know that kid was abit heavy handed and I probably wouldn’t let him sniff the pack never mind open it 😂 but the kid is just a kid and doesn’t understand like us older generation do, I think Sam knew that and was just a really nice thing to do 💙👍🏻
Dolly's: Toys & Games be like, "Am I a joke to you?"
Bold to let the kid open the pack and go through the cards. He was gripping those cards like he was holding onto an iPhone or something, sheesh.
Anyway, great prices on those tins. Since you were so friendly and also bought other stuff, and saw how excited you were, that’s probably why he was okay with giving you such a good deal!
Letting the kid open the packa was hilarious hahaha
It's like you're time travelling to an old shop, full of crazy old goodies. Nice. 👌
Lmao i love how he sniffs every pack truly cardboard crack
Man you can tell he loved that some one asked about his other tins to look at , wish my old Yu-Gi-Oh store would open up loved going there
"Jim how lit is this?"
"It's very good"
😂 JIM
I remember buying all of these literally every one
I remember them tins being like 20 to 40 bucks back when I was a kid I had a bunch of those u get the card on the tin than hella booster packs and then starter decks being like 12 bucks at Walmart years back
That Odd-eyes Pendulum Dragon looks so beautiful
They don’t make secret rares like they used to
Those tins bring me back so many memories! They were even in 7 eleven at one point.
Ahhh, the good old days of Yu-Gi-Oh 😁
I have no idea why this was reccomended to me. But damn if it isn't nostalgic. Haven't watched or touched anything yugioh related in 20 years, had no idea it was still going. Pretty cool to see these toys from my past. Thanks for the upload
It crazy seeing this now and remember when I was buying these in middle school. I gotta admit and shocked and happy to see yu-gi-oh still going strong
How would I know 17-19 years ago when I bougth these tins and decks that these would be worth this much money. I had no concept of money back then.
i wish konami would re- release their old structure decks
Jim! Can I have a refund? “Ok” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That kid opening the pack reminds me of when I opened my first pack which was curse of anubis OCG. Had a lot of the same cards like eye of truth and darkfire soldier 1 and 2.
Jim making sure he spend that bread 🍞 13:10 lol 😂
“Star Boy!” “That’s the weekend!” 😂💀
the way this kid was tearing the packs reminds me of the true soul of the game
Grandpa selling you those scaled Duelist Alliance packs from open box trynna get that card shop back open 😂😂😂
That kid was gripping the cards way too hard and destroyed those vintage packs. Please don't let a small child handle collectibles like that again
Better yet, someone teach him how to handle cards
When I think about all the sealed product I got when I was like 6/7 and if only child me had the savvy to keep that product sealed. I remember getting at least 5 structure deck kaiba’s because at the time my parents/relatives didn’t realise that the decks didn’t have different contents so they would just get me them over and over again
The other legendary fact is that Jim as both Yugi's grandpa and the god himself - Shaggy from Scooby Doo. This is insane
That there are today still kids that open the exact same packages i did open back in the days when i was that age...
Very nice move of you Sam to let the boy open a few. It felt like back in that time again :D
even if this cards are expensive as hell, these were our treasures as well :)
I shrieked thinking the kid was going to tear through the cards.
Seeing pack like these is very nostalgic for me, OLD but GOLD.
'Michael what is it?' 'I dont know'
'Its a cat?'
'Its a cat.'
'Its definitely a cat'
Those old school ritual cards are so vibrant! The bluest blue I ever seen
13:43 he be bending em 🤣
Boy my heart was jumping every time that boy was ripping those packs open like that . Was like you gonna tell daddy to reimburse the damages
The kid opening 35$ packs gave me anxiety I didn’t know I had. Haha 🙌😂
3:53 OMFG that deck was soooo sick with the trap card who don't let anyone summon 4* monsters and the submarine thing wich let any 3* monster atack directly to the player, actually that deck was the one wich get me really into Yugioh
the dude at the beginning was so great. im glad he had the respect to wait till you were done filming your intro to compliment you. pretty wholesome somehow
“ Blue Eyes White Dragon Screaming to get out that tin.”
Imagine being the kid, seeing every pack you pull have nothing and then Sam just pulls all the holos, lol.
Sam and Team Samurai X1 you guys are bringing back so much good feels for everyone right now with this video! god bless you guys!
I actually bought most of the BPT promo cards and they all drastically rose in price lmao as well as the red eyes black metal dragon I also purchased it went from 30 to 300 NM. kinda crazy
hey sam, we need more of your card hunt videos👍🏻
Oh man I love these short "JIM" snippets xD
Little kid gave me anxiety
And I can't believe my mom threw those out before we moved by accident😮 and me having no knowledge about this game 😂 just bought it and looked at it, then watched it on tv
Sam: this is lit! JIM! how lit is this?
Jim: Its very good.
DUDE! JIM gets it. LOL
We should reach out to this guy and donate so he re-opens 🥺
I know Sam was low key disappointed from the kid's pull luck so he took over haha
the card would be worthless even if he pulled something good, look at the way he handled those cards
Omg I use to have a collection of the tins. I had all of them from my local Walmart, think there were like 5 or 6
i still have that joey gearfried tin in my desk from like 20 years ago. the cards in it were....not good.
Damn Sam great investment enjoy the love of those don’t open the tins!! Lol
8:10 the way he sniffs it🤣
you have no idea how many LOB packs first edition i had bought back in 2002 for 5 euros each!
I haven't played since 2003. I literally just came back for master duel and im looking at all of this like "wow, I had that, wow, had that one too." now im being told I could have made a ridiculous amount of money off of things I lost and threw away smh. if only our parents knew about Collectables back in the 90s lol
LOL "Do you ever smell cards?" hahahaha awesome
13:19 Lmaooo I am in tears!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s like ancient Egypt, I definitely laughed lol.
The kid bending the cards and opening the packs all aggressively gave me chest pain LMAO. Reminds me of my little cousins back in the day
“That’s Star Boy that’s the weekend “ 😂 lmfao
@4:10 still have that buster blader tin today :) very fond memories of getting that one with the promo buster blader card included.
I remember pulling a B Skull Dragon out of my first blister Metal Raiders as a kid
Dude, if you just didn't take out the "e hero playmat" with the fusion heroes I would have bought like 7 😭
What’s crazy is I’d see these decks in so cal till like 2005? The jumped that much that fast
My moms sewing materials are in those tins today
12:15 that little kid is going to bend all those cards😱😱😱 did you hear the “arrr” when he said “let me help you with” my heart sank and my stomach dropped
Saw a comment about your shed too mang and yeah... DONT STORE THEM OUTSIDE OMG
If you really value your collection, then store em in the basement, in a closet, or if you have too, rent out a storage unit for gods sake maaan
