What soap did you use to clean your bags?
I just used a little dish soap! This is what I did in steps:
1. Fill two bowls with hot water (I’m not using scalding water on the bags - initially use hot bc it cools down quickly), add a little bit of dish soap to one of the bowls (VERY little is needed)
2. Dunk/ring out a small neutral colored rag/towel in the soapy water and wipe the bag down - scrub a bit where there are stain/bottom of the bag
3. Immediately dunk/ring out another small towel in the bowl with just water and wipe the bag down to remove any soap - do not let the soapy water dry on your bag. Repeat this step at your discretion.
4. Dry the bag with another clean towel (I was doing this sitting on my couch so I had a large while towel draped over my lap and I dried the bags with that)
5. Set bag aside to dry & use leather conditioner if needed after bag is fully dry (the one I used is linked in bio but there are a lot of options - I just had the dr martens one on hand)

I use my *hotdups* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior

The variety of colours, textures, and patterns is really fun. You can tell your collection has come together over time and that you haven't been blinded by trends. Not that trends are bad necessarily, but I feel like your collection is intentional and not just focused on "keeping up" with what is popular. Would be interested to see how you store your bag collection. I haven't found a way that really works for me, so it'd be cool to get some ideas! 💕 Thanks

Awesome bag collection. I love the variety of vintage, trendy and classic handbags. My favorites are the Vintage Gucci and Dior bags. My mom bought mr my first Gucci bag when l was in junior high. I have a pretty eclectic bag collection as well and l love them all.

I never clean my bags either. I just dust them off, if the fabric can handle it I use a makeup wipe, I also use those on shoes and works wonder, but I do use an impregnating spray instead of a balm, same one I use on all my leather shoes.

I have the samara X Claire bag too. And have had it since it launched. And it’s held up very well!! Literally just checked cause I have it currently shelved. I would say the bigger strap has some wear on it just cause I used it so much but not coming apart. As I’ve gotten older I feel like I’m more into purses than when I was younger which is nice but also I never know where to start. Thanks for the haul it was such a nice variety and fun bunch I think. To choose a fave is so hard lol I think they all are practical and work for you which means you’re getting their value out of them I think !

I love your collection bc it's not stuff that i've seen too much. I think my favorite is the yellow Prada nylon re-edition and I agree it's more delicate and soft without the bulky seatbelt strap, although maybe you could use it on another bag.

Fun fact, you can condition leather goods with regular hand cream!
The water content in the hand cream is actually pretty bad for leather. Most leather conditioners are fully wax/oil/petrolatum based
