You are filming on the CSX Rochester Subdivision.
These engines do get around. One minute into this video, you will see engine numbers 5111 and 16. I have seen 16 in a Georgia video!
It's snowing there but 103 in Texas
What caused this massive pileup? Was someone texting????
It was determined that there was no operator error for the train crew. High winds from a passing storm swept the broad side of this train just perfectly to tip a car causing the derailment.
@@DieselElevators thanks for your reply. It is amaizing to think how winds can be so powerful.Im glad no one was hurt. Have a happy new year DieselElevators.
@@DieselElevators, Years ago I saw video of a train cars being pushed off track by a passing tornado.
was this at dewitt park?????
This was behind the sewage treatment plant.
HOW DO YOU CLEAN UP A DERAIL IN A SWAMP?
YOU DONT. YOU JUST LEAVE THERE.
i live there. woah
what is the body of water
Wastewater ponds for the city of Batavia. Water flows into these ponds after being filtered of anything coming through the sewers.
Swift can even fuck up a train. Who knew?
how could wind do this ,not possible
Exactly how it happened. The landscape and open areas made by the sewage treatment plant on both sides of the tracks made a sort of wind tunnel, and the right gust hit the right car at the wrong time.
double stack containers are literally flat walls, some of the detectors on the main lines are designed to monitor stack trains in case the upper shelf shifts and alerts the drivers double stacks are pretty much sails on the rails and its not the first time wind has taken hold of container trains and tipped them
Wha do you think a tornado is? Straight line winds have blown away houses blown over trucks
@@coryhoover01 Except it was not a tornado.
Tommy Truth I know it wasn’t just saying that a tornado is wind also
wow that was a big mess
Typical day for CSX.
Too many derailments WHY IS THE SYSTEM SO UNSAFE.
alot of the derailments are on rails that are pretty much not maintained and the more companies want to shift the good the longer and heavier the trains get and in the end the heavy trains are what causes alot of the rail damage.. the climate doesnt help either.. number one reason for alot is lack of maintenance on either the trains or the rails
Why blow the horn so much? Really annoying
whitey george safety so the guys working know they are coming through
Where I work you use a horn all day long. 2 beeps to enter, 3 to back up, one to get attention, long single blast to warn. You just get used to it and don't even notice it any more. Its all to let people close by know that your're coming by. My machine also has a button that auto works the horn 2 times to warn that heavy machinery is in close proximity on coast. Coast means it somewhat controls itself and brakes have been temporarily disabled.

Can't you punctuate this comment. I could to quite figure out what you are saying. Thanks.
