Well, the drum itself sounds amazing. I have a coated powerstroke 3 on the batter side and a coated ambassador on the front side and nothing in the bass drum. Then I tune both sides fairly high and I get this nice sound. I might record a specific video with different bass drum tuning, in that case I will dedicate that to you :D Thanks for your comment!
I hear you! I love how it sounds without the rivets, but I also love it with the rivets, obviously for different musical situations. I was going for that Mel Lewis Swish knocker vibe. He used a china cymbal with rivets in his big band a lot
