    Nice video! Electric is the girl next door, nitro is the freaky emo girl with piercings and tattoos.

    Hi, new here at your channel. YT suggested your videos because of nitro content :) I'm also a novice in nitro, but already had and sold couple. For my limited knowledge 8:37 was too rich. Very slow launch an excessive smoke. Lean it and if necessary adjust idle gap. Nitro is really nimble if you tune it right. If you chase the low speed tune and never get ir right it might be due to RTR motor. More then often they have budget bearing that leak air, or have some air leaks in carburetor. Racers say that RTRs are hard to tune due to budget price. I believe those words have some weight because known brand stand alone motor costs almost as the roller chassis ir self. And I had one second hand HB 8series buggy that was fitted with race grade engine. That engine had one season of races with the first owner. That engine was a dream, despite it was heavily used during the season. Keep on the nitro content :)

      Eyyyy man welcome to the party. Yes sir brand new to nitro so gots tons to learn. In this video I really didn't touch the LSN at all but since I've gotten it to be waaay snappier. I do believe you are correct about the RTR motors because I'm basically constantly retuning because it just seems like it either idles way too high, spews a ton of smoke or bogs and shuts off. Either way I'm having a ton of fun man and the motor has alot of power. Really appreciate the advice because I'll definitely need it. 👊🏾

    Lean the low 10 to 15 minutes and richen the high 5 to 10 minutes. Always start rich and lean out. Chewbacca = lean, lots of smoke and bog/stumble = rich, and make sure idle gap is set properly. On 30% you must richen quite a bit. Start with 1/2 turn (30mins) for the high, and 15min on the low. Tune from there. Good luck 👍 also starter box is the way to go for starting a nitro engine.

      Awesome man, thanks much for the tips. Need all the help I can get. I'll test out what you suggested also yes the starter box is the best indeed.

      LOL they can definitely be a pain if you cant get it working right. But when you do and it gets to singing its very rewarding. Its one way to really test to see how much patience you got. Thanks for watching

    When I had my first child all 6 nitros went up on ebay. I stayed with my modified hpi baja 5b ss. Got ride of that after my second spine surgery. 38 lbs was just too much then to start it and work on it was to much.
    6 soon to be 7 brushless rc trucks now.

    Electric are great but you have to condition the batteries and keep them wt storage when not in use if you don't they won't last. Nitro charge your receiver pack when your done wipe over the car stick in after run done. Nitro is best more run time and sounds epic great video 👍

    • @GregSupe
      @GregSupe  Год назад +1

      Think it's similar efforts to keep your Nitro and electric in good condition. Since with nitro you also have to put in after run to keep the engine lubricated. Definitely agree kn the run time, proper tune and correct fuel and man those things run suuuper long. Thanks for the input 👊🏾

    The answer is both 😂. I find it depends how into the hobby you are. If you just want to drive then go electric but if you like to tinker then go with nitro. Great videos.

    hey Greg, good video, what break in method did you use for the nitro?

    • @GregSupe
      @GregSupe  Год назад

      Followed the instructions from Hobao. 3 full tanks idle, then 3 tanks light driving. After can start tuning the HSN then LSN

      Oh yea for sure. Im getting to understand the frustration right now. when i want to just get up and run it, i have a whole process before i can run the nitro
