- Stuff breaks, sh*t happens, and all we can do is be prepared. This is our Essential Tool Kit for anybody who is taking their Toyota 4Runner or Tacoma off-road. This is a basic setup, of course there are more tools you can bring, and power tools will make everything easier, but you should be able to fix almost any problem with this kit, as long as you have the right spare parts to replace what's broken!

That is an impressive tool bag.
I also carry a small cheap voltmeter, electrical tape and a lot of cable ties. It's amazing what cable ties can temporarily fix!
It's embarrassing how many zap straps are holding my tacoma together..... No mechanic has time the time or energy to work on their own vehicle!
Thank you for the information, Betty the 4Runner will get her bag 😎👍
Thanks for this video. Looking to put my bag together and this helps
Excellent tool review sir!
Very helpful information for what to bring with my 4runner :) thanks Braeden!
Great video! Very helpful
Would be really helpful if you make us a videos of your spare parts that you carry on your tacoma, :) thanks i just got that ttool bag, helps a lot to see your set up
Great vid. I've been thinking about a tool roll vs. a tool box for a long time and I rally like the one you use. thanks for sharing...
It's definitely expensive, but I have really enjoyed using it, and it's held up well so far!
Awesome. From one Tacoma owner to another, thank you! I also have the same tool bag which I bought from you. My tool collection is about 96 percent the same as yours. Will be putting a wire brush in there and some pry bars. Suggestion for a future video - you mentioned spare parts that you carry. Maybe do a more thorough video in same way as this one, with all the parts laid out - fuses, CV axle, wire, etc...
Can do! We have a video coming soon about some common trail repairs and demonstrate how to do them as well, so stay tuned for that!
Thanks!
I carry wayyyy to much, this’ll help a lot.
🙋🏼
Braeden, I found this extremely helpful. You could probably put together an amazon bucket of this stuff and link to support your channel. Thanks for the content!
Great information
I would be adding a brass drift to that kit for cone nuts on a full floating axle.
Love this tool bag setup! Do you bring a 1/2" or 3/8" drive breaker bar?
Can you do an updated video for your tundra? Would be helpful with Black Friday around the corner(specifically what tools you bring)
Those tool bags have become really expensive, especially the ones you see in overland expos. I bought the Rhino for $40 and it’s working great.
Need to add a pair of 4” and 8” C-clamp on your list.
C-clamps can definitely be super handy.
👍
This was fan-fricken-tastic! Thanks a ton. (FYI - your link for the tool bag is dead).
Nice kit.
Must have a 35mm socket! Thanks
Definitely don't want to break a CV without one!
What spares do you recommend bringing for 4 Runner
Curious what do u use baling wire for? I’m pretty new to this.
Thanks
Holy shit... that bag is $200... that's insanity. I thought it came with the tools when I saw it...
I do agree it's very expensive for what it is
Would it be too much trouble to tell me how long those socket rail holders are? The blue ridge pouches are around 12” but all the socket rails I see on amazon are 13-15” long.
Is the brand you're using kobalt?
Wow, that is a very complete trail kit 😂
I've used them all at one point or another!
@@OverlandOutfitters I believe it. My truck tools are alot more basic!
@@DirtGarage It's one thing to be stuck with a broken part on a trail a couple hours from home, but something else to be broken down in the middle of the desert in Baja, Mexico!
@@OverlandOutfitters True, I literally bring all my tools with me when I go to Moab!
Another excellent video, my third, and the annoying music is becoming less annoying.
What did we forget?! Let us know in the comments!
Any chance of a detailed list?
Finally put up a full list in our website blog! Link in the description!
duct tape, zip ties
What size sockets do you recommend? You mentioned 1/4 inch are the other ones 1/2 inch?
I just carry 1/4" and 3/8" for my ratchets
What tool brand did you go with for your tool bag?
Blue ridge overland. Link in the description!
Where is that socket set from with the holders?
Princess Auto here in Canada
Auto fuses
Do you have the complete list posted on your blog?
That's a great idea, I will do that!
@@OverlandOutfitters did you ever post the list ?
Finally posted a blog! Link in the description!
Need a welder
Cheap compressor, elect tape, booster pack, jumper cables, plug kit
That’s a bad ass tool bag but $200 😵💫
check out our new toolkit video where we designed our own tool kit for much less! Plus put together a full tool kit with all the tools you need!
How much do you sell that tool bag for?
Link is in the description!
They are too scared to mention the price here because it's absurdly priced... $209. and I'm not a cheap guy, i've bought backpacks for $400, no problem... but this is definitely more than overpriced.
Nothing to do with being scared, we just don't publically list prices because prices can change depending on the vendor as well as exchange rates etc.
👍🏻🇨🇦
its a shame the person who was filming did not spend more time filming the tools and not your face .
I feel v unprepared and beta watchin this video
Rad bag but 210$$ I’m too jew for that
