It didn't cost 15% for Marlon to be saved. The cost was complete drainage of the battery, whether it was at 15% or 100%. So yeah, it would have run out at that point regardless of what happened before..

That would have made the entire test except for the very last bit entirely pointless and set up that last group for complete and utter failure. The whole group contributed to the downfall of that battery. I doubt that if the rest of the house left it at 100% that BB would have made the last segment worth all of it when the others were worth not more than 25%.

I couldn't stand when all the housemates were saying that Marlon was the most selfless person and the most genuine. Yes, he did tell Christopher to let everyone join the Christmas party instead of him but, in my opinion, it was so clear that he thought he would be invited to the party because he was being so "selfless". But he was pouting and sitting there and ran into the bedroom and sooked (again). I think it all happened when the girls had the power and it was clear that it was hard for him to open up, but he just ran into the bedroom and pulled the covers over him like a little kid! It is true that the other housemates got something for themselves and shouldn't have been so harsh on him; especially Mark because he got that whole make over and then started going off on Marlon about pressing the button. But saving yourself from eliminations (I do agree with them that Ashleigh would have been booted out anyway)and getting a video from home or your pet, who is basically your family, is completely different. It was incredibly selfish for him to save himself and he probably didn't have much to worry about with the eviction anyway. He knew that pressing the button would kill the battery and that everyone else would suffer so that he could be safe, and as they said, he didn't even discuss it with the others. Helen wouldn't have even done that. Everyone took part in draining the battery but when it came down to knowing that it would ruin the challenge for everyone else, no one did that except Marlon. He doesn't even do anything in the house. That was such a terrible move.

Yes, most had taken percentages of battery power for their own personal wants, knowing that 20% of a number would still leave something to remain. So in those small ways they were selfish. But in the end none of those trespasses mattered: Regardless if the battery had been 15% or 100% going into this "Safety App" task, whoever pressed it would drain all the power, period. It didn't cost 15% for Marlon to be saved. The cost was complete drainage of the battery, whether it was at 15% or 100%. So yeah, it would have run out at that point regardless of what happened before..

That would have made the entire test except for the very last bit entirely pointless and set up that last group for complete and utter failure. The whole group contributed to the downfall of that battery. I doubt that if the rest of the house left it at 100% that BB would have made the last segment worth all of it when the others were worth not more than 25%.

I couldn't stand when all the housemates were saying that Marlon was the most selfless person and the most genuine. Yes, he did tell Christopher to let everyone join the Christmas party instead of him but, in my opinion, it was so clear that he thought he would be invited to the party because he was being so "selfless". But he was pouting and sitting there and ran into the bedroom and sooked (again). I think it all happened when the girls had the power and it was clear that it was hard for him to open up, but he just ran into the bedroom and pulled the covers over him like a little kid!
It is true that the other housemates got something for themselves and shouldn't have been so harsh on him; especially Mark because he got that whole make over and then started going off on Marlon about pressing the button. But saving yourself from eliminations (I do agree with them that Ashleigh would have been booted out anyway)and getting a video from home or your pet, who is basically your family, is completely different. Marlon is disgusting. Ashleigh heard the public chanting to get her out and she still didn't press the button. It was incredibly selfish for him to save himself and he probably didn't have much to worry about with the eviction anyway. He knew that pressing the button would kill the battery and that everyone else would suffer so that he could be safe, and as they said, he didn't even discuss it with the others. Helen wouldn't have even done that. Everyone took part in draining the battery but when it came down to knowing that it would ruin the challenge for everyone else, no one did that except Marlon. He doesn't even do anything in the house. That was such a terrible move.

But in the end none of those trespasses mattered: Regardless if the battery had been 15% or 100% going into this "Safety App" task, whoever pressed it would drain all the power, period. BB had designed the entire shopping budget task to hinge on this one test: none of the previous actions mattered. Marlon knew this and did it anyway.

So glad I am not in the UK because I would never know who to vote for - each one has something I like, however I would prob vote Chris this week - he is too quiet.
