Seems like a bit of a gripe to say the quick disconnect doesn't work when you've got the meat shelf loaded up. Why would you need the quick disconnect if you've already punched your tag? The thing has a dozen straps you can still use to secure your gun for the pack-out.
The only major concern I’ve had with it us when I’m loaded up for multi day hunts. I use the meat shelf for my extra gear. We need to do an update video now that we’ve packed it around for a minute.
Im about to pull the trigger the climax or the k4 5000. with the akek im curious about that frame flexing?? also lashing to the meat shelf using the bag straps instead of having its own lashing for
The updated pack that I currently run is heavier duty and we’ve had no issues holding down quarters on the shelves. I haven’t noticed any flexing with the frame, it’s very similar to other carbon frames. They also included adjustable side pockets, a rain fly and longer straps when you have to over load the pack. For the price I don’t think it can be beat. I done a few hikes in stormy. Snow/rainy weather and it actually does well to repel moisture without the fly.
Just to clarify, the updated pack is the updated version of the pack reviewed. They also just came out with a larger pack. I still prefer the smaller pack, mainly because I use it both for day hunts and extended trips.
@@tradlifeoutdoors6459 New sub to ya. ill be following your hunts. i will be filming my hunts this year as well. My mother lives in Nevada so may be doing an antelpoe hunt out there as well. Near Wendover Nv.
Sorry about the delay. I have been using AKEKs updated pack and so far I have been impressed. There are a few changes I would make further, that being said I haven’t found a pack that has everything I want/need. If you still need a pack use code Tradlife22 for a discount(about 25% off!). Best of luck out there!
