I got interested in reading the book, Pachinko and going to a cafe and a library after watching it. I resonate with you saying you read more books under the current circumstances.
This Channel feels so cozy... I just keep remembering Rory of seasons 1 and 2.... also I love the fact that you have an android phone hahah
I think you’ll love A Long Petal of the Sea by Isabel Allende! It’s a historical fiction (about the Spanish Civil War) and she does jump between perspectives/streams of consciousnesses really well like you described in Pachinko. I’m only about 80 pages in but I adore it😊 (and I defo added Pachinko to my tbr, it sounds amazing!)

I know this is nearly a year old now, but... to keep track of what I want to read, what I'm reading and what I have read, I use Goodreads. I also use documents on my laptop.

This vlog is making me cry in Victorian. I'm so scared for a stage 4 lockdown. Mainly because I probably can't see my partner and I'm so not ready for that. I also totally feel you about Hamilton, I'm so annoyed that I never listened to the soundtrack because I thought it'd be confusing. But like the whole play is just the music. Bookstores used to be one of my happy places but now that I work in a bookstore it's just 'work' with endless weirdo customers. Retail is not much fun no matter what you're selling. At least stories themselves are still a happy place for me.

be careful with taking all of hamilton as fact, the story is quite modernized and white washed, if you're interested in it you can look up some of the criticism, i absolutely loved it and have been listening to it a lot since i watched it but i loved even more the opportunity to research the history of each person and fact check the musical a bit
