I realized, when you're coming to south africa with a genuine interest, they are okay with you...and Kenyans who are here respect the country law and order, so its all good..
Yep you never hear us complaining about Kenyans/Rwandans/Sudanese etc it's always the same culprits every time yet they say we hate Africans, if that was the case we would be complaining about all the other 53 nations instead of 3 or 4...we just want people to come here legally and when here to respect the laws which for some reason is hard to understand when it's us voicing our concerns and it's funny because most of the hate comes from Africans who have never set foot in South Africa which is why they always so surprised as to how welcoming we are to visitors when they arrive.
Actually I'm from Uganda and I've met and have got quite a number of South African friends that have always been cool so I never understood that drama not too long ago, all that 'xenephobia' stuff. It should be commonsense that if you go to visit your 'geographically distant' bredren in their home, you don't go with an attitude of arrogance. Obviously we have far, far more in common as Africans than not. Bless Marwa, and nuff love to all those guys at that mobile phone kiosk!
As a South African, xenophobia is a result of the arrogance and entitlement exhumed by foreigners when they get used to South Africa and its easy lifestyle. Bcoz they come from undesirable conditions when they get here they feel that Native South Africans are lazy as they feel we are not using our full potential
