First Impression of South Africa🇿🇦|What You Need to Know before you visit

- The story of Africa being told one country and video at a time. I visited South Africa in October and it opened my eyes to this part of Africa. I began to compare the leadership of South Africa as a country and West Africa. South Africa is infrastructurally progressive and there is convenience across several sectors. You can easily order for services, such as transportation, food, money transfer on demand.

SA is the only country in the world that has hosted the Rugby, Cricket, Netball and Soccer world cup in the world
I learned something new. Thanks for sharing :)
Not true England has done the same🙈🙈🙈
I wish we could claim that but unfortunately the brits beat us to it🙈🙈🙈🙈
You lying.

Soccer in 1966
Cricket in 1975,1979,1983,1999,2019
Rugby in 2015 and jointly in 1991 and 1999
Netball in 1963,1995,2019
You are welcome to look it up but it is what it is you can’t change history and we can’t claim something that is not true

An accurate and fair assessment of South Africa. Loved your video. It is cheaper, has great quality products and services and systems work.
Thank you for visiting us I'm south african
Great insights. I watched Safarina when I was in Liberia as a child. I vividly remember how it made me feel. I have also made a few friends from the region. I am not much of a party person..but I love their music. And if there's 1 place I wish I could go just for the vibes...it would be SA. haven't made it there yet but I am living through ya vicariously
You summed it up right! The music is 🔥 out there and the infrastructure is similar to the US. Please plan a trip there, you won’t regret it 😊
Sarafiba not that thing you wrote
You can add me to your list of friends. I'm South African, based in Johannesburg.

We drive on the left hand side of the road but the steering wheel is on the right side of the car.
Yeah, thank you for the correction.🙏🏾😊
Of course the steering wheel is on the right of the car!! They're not stupid! Haha! Please don't imagine that S.Africa is a country that is full of morons.. The opposite is the case!! Fabulous place .. Get your american asses over there!
We really need people like you to promote tourism in our Country. So many black Americans that are coming to our country to enjoy their Holidays here.

There are malls everywhere in South Africa even in township or rural lands
Yes!!!!!
The answer is yes sister and we have a growing number of South African Americans here, who actually have relocated and staying here now for good🙂.
I plan to definitely buy a property there and make it a home, whether part time or full time :). Thank you for your kind words and supporting my channel.
@zawadiem you GO Girl ❤
I have relocated here from America.
@@jamaicanonthemove.3239 oh, nice. Where did you relocate from, and where in SA did you relocate to?
@zawadiem I lived in New York and Florida. I relocated to Johannesburg. My 10 year old daughter loves it here. There is so much activity to do with the family and children.
The huge discovery of Oil and Gas in South Africa need to be something to share with American brothers and sisters so you should come back home if you can to help build this nation together.

Small correction dear : OR Tambo international is the largest and busiest airport in Africa. Cairo airport is number 2 followed by Cape Town at number 3 ❤ from South Ahh🇿🇦
Thank you. The info is conflicting because according to one cnn article, Caro was the busiest airport in 2022.

South Africans drive on the LEFT not right side
I clarified this. I meant to steering is on the right 🙏🏾
I'm glad you had a nice time. Please make it your next home, you belong
Looking at investment opportunities.🙏🏾❤️
Maybe you wanted to say in S. A we drive on the Left hand side, that's why you will see a rule of the road which says,,, KEEP LEFT PASS RIGHT on our roads in S. A
Correct. 🙏🏾
Tell me more because when I come you will drive me through
I only own a small bike 😅
4:00 huh?
Traffic flows on the left side of the road and vehicles are passed on the right. I also observed that the steering wheel was located on the right of the car, whereas in the US, the steering is on the left.
So, what I meant to say was mainly in reference to the steering. Any questions?
The music is loud and distracting!!
Will do better ✈️

South Africa is the most developed in Africa hence you fired all African and, Pakistan, Bungladesh people flocking to SA. You don't find a lot of South Africans leaving SA to Pakistan, Bungladesh and other African countries
Thanks for sharing
True and reality. Why should you choose less for best. Nothing is best for SACANS in Africa and America, UK and anywhere in the world except that Australia is better.
Your background music was a real distraction...
I will tune it down next time.🙏🏾
yes please just turn it down a lil but great video and your voice was clear and music is nice

It used to be what?😁
Americans visit and relocate in Cape Town and Joburg only. They don't know other cities and the whole country. They all want to stay in Joburg only. African Americans don't know what you're talking about, Africa is SA, and SA is Joburg and Cape Town 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂
South Africa 🇿🇦 is the country that went through five phases of colonialism in the world.
🤔
@@zawadiem yeah check the history of South Africa 🇿🇦 from 1652 until 1994 then you would understand that South Africa went through different phases of colonisation.
Not sure whats your point all African countries where colonize except Ethopia
Hi, u talking about SA, especially Jo'burg, but u showing pics of Cape Town. Joburg has no sea.😅
That is correct. However, most of my images focused on Joburg but the general idea is SA😁
SA was the most developed in Africa and in some cases the World, The ANC broke everything within 30 years and now we don't have electricity, our roads are in a very bad state, our hospitals are in a very bad state, people have fake degrees and can act like doctors, our water supply is polluted and people are dyeing from drinking tap water, we have no local service delivery, no quality local transport, our education system is one of the worst in the world (some teachers cant read and write, never-mind the students). The unemployment rate is 64% for students and some crazy amount for overall, hence the crime rate out of control. We have a non functioning police force where most of the police stations cannot open a case because their computers are stolen, they don't have case books, they dont have electricity or they just dont care to. We have one of the biggest governments in the world, the most corrupt and incompetent. Each government employee has got a contracter employed to do their job because they cannot do it themselves, so the government bill is running in the hundreds of millions every month. The sad part is that these corrupt ANC ministers and their cadre deployed buddies are stealing BILLIONS every month from the south african people when most people cannot even afford a bread every day. It is disgusting and the sheep still vote for them because they are uneducated and easily bribed with a t-shirt and a kfc (throwing away their and their childrens future. The country is on the brink of collapse (like zimbabwe) but the people still vote for them or the racist eff party. So sad because the potential is awesome and the people are amazing (without politics). They country is beautiful and yes hanging on with a thread. It can be such a cool place if you have moral leaders with the people's interest at heart. But unfortunately the uneducated still think the whites and educated blacks are out to catch them. Sad situation.
Oh, dang! Thank you for the insight, truly 😯
Which country doesn't have problems like we are the only ones
Go to where there is no problems, the grass is always greener on the other side, the problem is some of you compare SA with so called 1st world countries even though it's classified as a 3rd world country.
Your commentary and expectations and some phrases you use make me think you are originally from Africa, eg expecting corruption to be the norm, POS, expecting dirty environment etc
I live in the US but I’m from the soil of Africa.
Yes I think she’s west African but moved to US. I think generally ppl think all of Africa is same whilst the true is far from it. What you experience on east to west to north to southern parts of Africa is vastly different.SA has its problems for sure but there are levels to even problems but is far ahead of any on the continent developmentally and standard of living, as I’ve noted with a bit of travel on continent and just informing myself. Think west Africa generally needs better development and leaders with a bit of shame and they’d be thriving. Ppl are waking up though, so expect many parts of Africa including west Africa to develop fast within this century
SA is overrated and underrated at the same time
Thanks for your feedback. Not overrated to me but that just me :)
Build by white
While speaking a white man's language carrying jeleous chest pains
There’s nothing wrong with that! I’m just glad the infrastructure is better than a lot of other countries out there. 😁
It was and still is Black people who dug gold, diamonds, platinum, coal, chrome etc from the African soil. It was Black people who worked the land, often as part time slave labour (6 months of every year since 1910 to 1986). All the infrastructure was literally built by Black people while the White man was sipping tea from his flask in the bakkie. If you are South African, you will picture the imagery
With black labour. So all races contributed to the building of this great beautiful country. I am sure there were once upon a time whites in your country too. So why didn't they build it the same as South Africa?
What's your point, if you got nothing to say better be quite
YOU FORGOT TO SHOW WHERE 50% OF THE POPULATION LIVES, ALEX ,GOMORA,,SQUATER CAMP, HOSTELS, AND OTHER KASI AREAS , INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS😢😢😢
I will be back 😉
Less than 10% of South Africans live in informal settlements.
@@zawadiemhaters will always hate.
Most Kasi is developed around SA eg you find many parts of Soweto that match development and fancy houses in Sandton. You’d think you’re in one of the former white suburbs when you go to the old kasis of SA, they have more order and development. Also hostels are tiny minority of where South Africans live, not even 0.1% live there. We do however have urban squalor where many live in informal housing (shacks) and that’s not even entirely South Africans, many of those shack residents are ppl who can’t get government housing and they in large non South African illegal immigrants who’ve moved to SA from rest of Africa without much
@@thandisilec835 take pics of Vusumuzi in Tembisa, Alex , all squatter camps & advertise, those Sandton, Rosebank is mainly for white people attraction, stop misleading people... Mention these are the good places of SA, though some stay in shacks. WHO GIVE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS SHACKS, or its south Africans waiting fit RDP, White men from Europe is an investor
Nothing works in SA only the springboks 😂😂😂😂
I respect your opinion :)
South Africa have spiraled backwards the last 25 years, we barely have power let a lone being able to create a industrial zone. Don't be fooled by little things.
This is was her experience,it's not like she did not experience all the things she mentioned therefore your opinion does not matter!if you say we moved backwards but on the eyes of visitors who visited other countries as well we still are forward!
I'd say for the last 12 years. Things really reversed around 2011. Aside from that we were doing fine.
I understand your perspective but trust me, I’ve been to all the West African countries and stayed over 30-90 days. I also visited East African countries: Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania Seychelles, Zambia, etc. Did I experience load shedding and other tiny issues, yes. However, SA is still the best by far . Cheers 🥂
@@zawadiem thank you, am so happy you enjoyed SA, many of our people don't travel therefore they dont realise how fortunate we are, are we perfect? No, but we still are "doing good " than some ,I think we should start appreciating the positives than dwell on the negatives after all no one is perfect .
Apartheid Beneficiaries i.e White, Indians and Coloureds are really really salty that South Africa under Black rule. They manufactured this narrative that every was much better under Apartheid, that Black people cannot govern, that Africans are incompetent and corrupt. They have been saying this since 1994 (end of European Colonists' Apartheid rule). They will be saying it in 100 years from now. They are bitter.
The must developed but must foolish. You do not have your land!
