Avatar of the God, the rules are so damn weird how the gods exist on the normal plane compared to how Baator exists and how she's imprisoned there is just a mindfuck
@@jayxkensh1n494 Ngl, when reading Dragonlance, Raistlin's fight with her... Wow. That setting really made me fear her more than anything else I had encountered. In hindsight, Dragonlance wasn't the best written series. But the way it successfully broadened my view of fantasy and made me love characters and races I had only seen and irredeemable (Drow, for example). And honestly as far as impact goes, Dragonlance will also be my mental reference for Tiamat.
If you guys don’t know much about Sifu, basically he ages every time he dies with the charms on his hip. Every ten years he ages, one breaks. The game is really tough but once you learn it you can do some awesome combos and the game even lets you skip whole levels and go straight to boss fights after beating it once.
the D&D episode was so well done, as someone who has been playing D&D for over 20 years. the party at the beginning looked like a Paladin (the big lady with the shield) the Monk (the badass dwarf) the Wizard (the little gnome lady with the book) and i think the Druid (the one who turned into a boar, and was able to turn the ice mage into a slug) Paladin's have an ability called "Lay on Hands" where they can touch themself or an ally, and heal damage, so she did that to herself after the kid stabbed her also, Paladin's generally have the ability to sense the evil within someone, like if they were evil, or maybe if they were possessed in Sifu, when you die, you age a few years, each time you die, the amount you age increases, and they represented that perfectly in this episode i think the dumpling lady realized the old man at the end was actually the young man from the previous day also, at the end, the reflection in the water still shows him as young both well done, im enjoying Secret Level a lot so far
This D&D episode has a lot of references: The orc/half-orc is a druid, so she can transform into animals; the lich was using the Counterspell spell on the wizard, which means whatever spell she attempt to use, he would cancel; the gold dragon is good, like all metallic dragons normally are; the five-headed dragon is Tiamat, queen of all chromatic dragons (red, black, white, green and blue, which are normally evil) and goddess of death and deception; the druid used the spell Polymorph to turn the lich into a slug, since it was distracted. The party class where: the orc/half-orc was a druid; the goliath was a paladin; the gnome was wizard; and the dwarf was monk - that's why he don't use weapons, his own body is a weapon. In D&D lore, Timat is imprisoned in Avernus, the first of the Nine Hells, and the Cult of the Dragon seeks to free her. But even in prison, she is powerful enough to influence the world - or worlds. This episode basically shows something we're only speculating at the moment: what will happen when Tiamat breaks free? Mechanically speaking, in D&D 5E, the Aspect of Tiamat was the sheet with the highest challenge rating among all creatures, and it wasn't even her in the flesh, which means that she alone must be absurdly strong, to the point of no sheet can say exactly how powerful it is. So, speculatively speaking, these five characters on the episode are probably dead...
Not Exactly! Cause I bet you that Even Bahamut Knows that this Avatar or Aspect of Tiamat has killed one of His Golden Dragons and Will definitely Intervene in stopping Tiamat. Compared to any OTHER Threat, restraining Tiamat is a Mission he Takes Seriously!
Both great episodes, having recently played SIFU it brought me back to that Club mission and how much a work of art the entire game really is. Would love to see continuations of these Secret Level episodes. The D&D party seemed to be a Paladin, Monk, Druid, Sorcerer/Wizard and then a cleric. Also you both should find a group to play D&D with or start with friends, both of you certainly would have a blast and be creative with your imaginations.
My brother use to have some D&D sessions but it was on Saturday nights and thats when we film due to Bethany working 9-6 during the week. More Secret Level episodes coming 😁
If you guys haven't played Baldur's Gate you should, some people don't realize, or forget, that Baldur's Gate is actually a D&D game. this D&D episode was excellent. And the Sifu episode, man that was some sweet animation! Keep em comin' guys
3:47 hahaha i said the same, "ELVISH WORD FOR FRIEND!!! MELLON!!! MELLON!!!" 😂😂 That snail move, within the board game, is a, "Critical roll." Along the lines of a Critical Hit in other games.
8:21 Aw don’t feel like you missed out ^^ There’s always room at the table or a D&D novel to kick back and read. This world and all the D&D worlds are my special interest and I love seeing new people get into the hobby. It’s never too late! I’ve even gotten my grandma to play D&D (shout out to her level 20 human bard, Brigit, and her level 13 Firbolg bard/druid, Ceridwyn)
Oh, and we read novels set in the Forgotten Realms (the most common setting, this short and the movie and Baldur’s Gate is this world), Dragonlance (high Fantasy world where the gods have been absent after a cataclysm but they are back and one of them is actually that world’s version of this dragon queen named Takhisis instead of Tiamat and she’s going to war with the world xD), and Eberron (Described as Lord of the Rings mixed with Indiana Jones and The Maltese Falcon, it’s my favorite setting actually and her least favorite I like the swashbuckling and noir intrigue xD). Though we are taking a D&D break to read Star Wars the High Republic. My grandma is cool 😎
The sifu episode reminded me so much of the early game, as in starting level being 20 years old, dying a dozen times and leaving it too elderly to finish the next one. And then starting the whole game over just to have a fighting chance next time 💀.
This series is spectacular. The Armored Core and Warhammer episodes are some of the best animations I've ever seen. I adore the Unreal Tournament and Pac-Man episodes too The second half of the series is coming out tomorrow. Honestly I hope this series gets a second season because it absolutely deserves it. So far it's been fantastic 🔥
I just realized what happened to the lich on the bridge. It had to make a Fort save. xD I hope they stepped on that slug on the way in to the Gold Dragon's sanctum.
As a person who’s played Sifu yeah it’s tough and you get old but what really made me cry in this ep was the old lady asking if it was worth it and her realizing it was the boy And the battle takes place at the club which is the second location in the game and the boss is Sean
So, the dwarf was a Monk. He was using spirit energy to enhance his physical capabilities. A single well trained unarmed monk can assault armies, and the armies would need backup. Speed, strength, agility, wisdom... All enhanced through endless training and spiritual enlightenment. They are, what monks in the real world wish they were
I really hope Sifu gets a TV show it really deserves one to expand the story. The Dwarf was a monk which is a melee focused class that excels in unarmed combat. DnD memes of Monk is they punch everything. Sifu basically everytime you die you age by one year if you die again a year is added each time you die. You can reduce this by playing well. But every 10 years the characters appearance changes not only that but you get less health however you deal more damage. There are some who play at the max possible age you should check out speedruns of Sifu.
I like the Sifu included that ending. It def gives True Grit theme of a life full of vengeance will cost you something, and in the end if you are able to accomplish achieving that vengeance, would it have been worth it?
To answer Beth's question hese are about capturing a mood, specifically the mood of the game in question. The plot is ther,e but ultimately these are obviously too short to deliver a full resolution. In a game of DnD people outside the world of Fae'run build a character and get to embody who they want to be through collaborative fiction, that's what I got out of this with the Paladin being ashamed of what she'd once done and attempting to change and Tiamat's host becoming a cleric much in the same way after realizing he's not inherently evil. The studio who made most of these I believe are the same people who worked on LOVE+SEX+ROBOTS (apparently they changed the name of the show to Love, Death + Robots and I am a victim of the Mandela Effect) another short artform anthology series that's four seasons in and more broad and varied. After you finish Secret Level I recommend those as well, they're all really cool and the diverse art styles are amazing. Secret Level is using pre-existing properties and the patron owners of those IP aren't gonna let them get to funky while advertising their babies, with the exception of PACMAN which was an absolute mindfuck. Just wait til you get to 40k and Pacman those two were the stand-outs BY FAR of the first half of Secret Level drops imo, at least before the other half comes out on Tuesday, after which I have my eyes on Outer Worlds II above all as an Obsidian/Fallout fan, the sneak preview they showed looks hilarious.
To be fair, Gold Dragons are supposed to be very strong. Not the strongest ones but very strong. It's just that it was Tiamat... goddess of all dragons. So literally it's goddess
Yeah just been busy. We had hoped to play it, which is why we don't release schedules of stuff anymore because things come up or new games release we want to play. Not sure when we will get to AC 3. 🤗
Please react to the cooperative and definitive attacks in the jujutsu kaisen's game! It came out this year and they got a decent amount of characters! Also react to the special intros and outros!! Please!!

Can I just say to I love your videos and if you react to juice wrld empty out your pockets music video it will be entertaining also juice wrld had died in 2019 due to an overdose he suffered with anxiety and depression this guy was the last guy that performs in the Fortnite live event
Please can you react to juice wrld empty out your pockets Fortnite music video it was part of the event but you guys never got a chance to see it YOU WOMT BE DISSOPPOINYED
The 5 headed dragon at the end of the dnd episode was Tiamat the draconic goddess and queen of all evil dragons.
😯🤩

yeah we knew nothing about Sifu. It's a cool concept 🤩
As a DnD nerd, the Shapeshifter is a druid! They can shapeshift into most animals using Wildshape

Party of 20+ all 18-20th level... Might, might not get wiped by the Dragon queen. Only real chance, pull her out of the hells and hope Bahamut helps
5:36 She's getting counterspelled. It's one of D&D's spells.
