Thank you so much for posting this …I really needed it …I want to start my own activewear line ….I have same serger, but don’t know how to use it …but I’m the kind of person that believe I can do anything if I try. Do you have a pattern to sell for this. And can you answer the question about the tension dial, width and length please? Thank you.
This tutorial is good when used in conjunction with a couple other ones. Here she shows how to sew a few different versions of flatlock stitch: ruclips.net/video/y0h-iUgKdzk/видео.html and here she tells you how to adjust tension on a Brother serger ruclips.net/video/vITyDS-4-nI/видео.html. I don't think a blind hem foot she demonstrates is actually needed bc you can turn off the knife on the side of a Brother serger which still helps as a guide.
I have the same Serger but my flatlock stitch is not coming out like that!!!😫😫😫 PLEASE HELP. what is the tension dial, length and width. PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO EXPLAINING IN DETAIL FROM THREADING TO THE STITCH
Not if using a stretch stitch or a twin needle. A stretch stitch is the lightning bolt stitch or zig zag stitch, your machine manual will tell you what is your stretch stitch.
Just to be sure: you can't do this with a regular sewing machine right? Bought leggings from this company and all the flatlock seams are coming apart, but I don't have a serger. :(
Next time, take more time to show how you set your serger up for a flatlock stitch in the first place. It would've been a lot more helpful that way. If you're going to post something on You Tube, take the time to show AND explain what you're doing. Don't rush it.
This is exactly what I was trying to understand! Thanks!

Doesn’t going over the seam with a regular sewing machine stitch make the seam unable to stretch?

Will there be a video Boulder SAL?
