I can't express how beneficial this will be. I was recently diagnosed with lupus, and had a history of psychiatric stays for bipolar and panic disorders. Thanks for posting this. I was misdiagnosed for years as depression and finally a psychiatrist wanted to run tests and got a positive Ana. I began being treated for lupus and the depression dissipated. Although there are still depressive episodes but nothing like before being treated for the correct condition.

@@TTG1973 I have been on low dose steroids since my dx , with hydroxychloroquine, then Chloroquine until becoming toxic on anti malarial meds. Then I was on cellcept 2000 mg for several years still on steroids some. They seemed to start not being as effective so I was put on Xeljantz, and cellcept 500 daily . They are not supposed to be taken together, which my doctor and I discussed throughly, but they have been very effective together in treating my lupus symptoms.
My blood work always comes back negative But as I sit here I feel like I been hit like a Mack truck, fever off/on, crying and makes me feel I’m just going to surrender…like I give up

My wife has Lupus: When she first got Lupus 15 years ago, she still worked (Nurse) even during chemo. Then over 4 years ago Lupus attacked her brain. Causing all kinds of issues and having to start chemo all over again. Worked at one place for over 20 years but lost this job just because of Lupus attaching brain. We are told that she has a rare type of Lupus Psychosis which mimics dementia, she is only 49 now. We have tried to get her back to work but without success, gets very tired/weak/confused/out of breath/saving piles of garbage around the house/refrigerator, I clean it up but she puts it back, gets mad/Very hateful disease to be around hates me for helping her, no communication, when I mention anything there is no response. Fighting SSA for over 3 years has been a nightmare. We have had to go to court in DC in front of a judge. Lawyers think that the judge is going to deny just because they know very little about Lupus Psychosis (only 1%) and that is what happened/tells everyone she is fine including the judge, even every hard for me to tell, all I have to do is to think back on the way she was before, Lawyers want nothing of us now. Life has been a nightmare since this last attack. NIH is helping but they go right along with her when she says: I am fine. The last time I talked to a doctor at NIH they were not aware of what was going on. Thankfully, I have a job that pays the bills. Please any help?
I am losing my home right now everything has fallen apart. I am being tested for lupus and I hear and see things and have difficulty with relationships. I have college degrees and now and I’m so much head pain, anxiety and depression I am a blob unless told what to do. Your wife has no idea how grateful she is to have you in her life.
I saw the same problem with a relative. Dr's blew off and they were diagnosed after passing. Get recordings of episodes as proof. There are more people who have it and misdiagnosed

what were you treated with?
@@TTG1973 SSRI’s which I got serotonin syndrome and don’t remember anything while taking them, including a suicidal attempt.

I have lupus and it is so hard to deal with other people and how they deal with me and the lupus.

Have you tried getting an ANA test?
My labs are often good, but it doesn’t really show how you feel.

Its the meds that you have to take for your treatment, you need a little help for your mentality to be calm
