A good, reliable bike for most riders. (especially the price) - How many average riders (weekend warriors) on here buy a new MX 450 motorcycle every year? raise your hands - How old is your current 450 MX bike? - How many hours on your current 450 MX bike? - How many hours/days if or when you get a new MX 450, does it take you to get use to that new bike? - Other than Suzuki, most 450s are on a 4 year cycle. Yes, some changes, really nothing major. AND.. really, how much better do you get every time you buy a new 450MX, if you are an average rider. As you get older, does a new bike really make you "better"? Or is staying on your current bike and getting to know it like the back of your hand, a better option? Now.. yes, it is COOL to have a new bike, and cool to maybe do less maintenance as your bike ages, if you do almost nothing to it normally. But... really, who cares what you ride? Be happy on the bike you have, and this bike will make a lot of people happy, be reliable and save you some $$$. ... I ride a Yamaha by the way, but I'd certainly get one of these If I had need for another bike in my current situation
The Honda at $9699 is the bargain of the group but if you can get a Suzuki for close to $8000 that's hard to compete with for an average rider if you can get along with the kick start. You can build the bike and suspension to be whatever you want it to be with that extra cash compared to just having a stock bike from the other manufacturers.

Wow. Still reviewing basically a 2018 RMZ450. Suzuki really needs to update their bike. It's cool that it's cheap and has a ProCircuit exhaust but eventually they're going to need an overhaul. Time to bring it up to date and give it a map switch and starter like everyone else. I hope Suzuki is using this 7 years to do some good R & D to come up with an updated bike.
I live in Japan, and my dad has RMZ450. Unfortunately, there are very few people who ride RMZ. (almost of all people ride Honda, Yamaha & Kawasaki ). It's sad because I think Suzuki's design is the best.
