I am so glad you all liked last week's Retrospective on Fang of the Sun Dougram, and therefore I thought I'd keep that wave breaking and unbox a little #vintage retro tabletop gaming that also heavily inspred #battletech.
So enjoy as my cameraman, The Triforce Kid and myself crack this baby open and see what's inside! I hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Those trees were before their time. they were great.
I hope you guys paint them up and do some demo games
I've owned sets 1 and 2 since 86. the game is a fun and quick combat. enjoy!
Very quick and fast! I love the periscope, lol.
How both you guys can have the energy and excitment of back when we were all teenager nerds is incredibly inspiring! I recently finished Dougram yesterday, man what a ride! And not necessarily the ending we think we deserve.
The tactics, politics and logistics [Space Poooooort!!!] in the anime is top notch.
Sweet, always wanted to take a closer look at this!
Man they remind me of the old Chinese knockoff toys I use to get when I went to the flea market as a kid. I would play with those more than my bigger figures lol. That's amazing. I bet you went through that box like crazy after making this.
a very interesting and cool find.
Crusher Joe has rhem too, and I intend to go thru those as well, once I put out that retrospective. Thanks for watching. 😊
Can't wait to see how all of the mechs for that battle turn out on the tabletop :)
We should play once I get them painted.
I hope you bring this next time you visit =)
Ok, I'll do that.
That was great. I must have a look for a set myself!
I'll sell you the one from the vid! I know how you love to paint and the work you do, so if you're interested in those minis, I'll give you same price I scored it for on ebay. I'll take that money and purchase the Crusher Joe games to review those after the Crusher Joe retrospective is out. Lemme know!
@@BattleBound Thanks but I checked just now and there are a few sets here (I live in Japan) going reasonably on Mericari🤔 You paint up yours! I’d love to see you guys play it👍
@@kierdalemodels Sounds like a winner! 😎 I'll tag you!
For finding this classic, I hereby remove the Hasek from your Davion, Tuck. 🙂
I AM FREE!
From what I understand, set 2 is a bit trickier to find, at least in the same condition set 1 can be found in.
I wonder if there were tabletop Macross games like this.
Remember Macross City Fight from the Crusher Joe vid?
@@BattleBound I missed it. LOL
Maybe get a copy of that if you do Macross in the next 'ToonTech? I don't know if any of those survived intact like Battle of Stanrey did, though.
@@GojiKaichou I plan to go through the games as well on episodes of Battletalk, yes. That's if I can acquire them. I have a line on a lot of Crusher Joe stuff. Gotta work on acquiring it.
Such a fun-looking game, too! Thanks for letting me review this with you! As a fan of Dougram (Since literally only a month or so ago when I learned about it from Tuck!) fan, I'm stoked that there's actually a table-top game of it!
Wait'll you see all the Crusher Joe shit
