Thank you everyone for the wonderful messages and feedback. I feel sad watching the news about Sudan now, and often feel helpless. This is the one way I know how to help: telling the story of the land and its beautiful people. I’m praying for peace in Sudan. If you’d like to see more, I have 3 more videos on my channel from the first weeks in the country! Much love to all ❤️🇸🇩
Thank you so much, Flo. You don't know how much this video meant a lot to me as a person who witnessed the war from the start, living in Khartoum while the war is going for 5 months or so, then Al Gazira and witnessed its fall and only got out on March, then went to Sennar and the fall of Senja.. just a crazy story, and right now I am in Omdurman! Haha such a weird plot-twist I am living in at the moment!. And you are absolutely right. Yes it is a hard country, but it makes you tougher with each day comes.❤️ This video made me happy because perhaps we might get back to all of these small beautiful details.. perhaps someday we will look back at it and say: Phew, it was a wicked dream.❤️
Dude you literally said it all .. thanks a lot Flo we are indeed flattered and in great deal of gratitude to everyone out there telling our story, also i still live in Omdurman under the struggle and insecurity of war but we are still standing. Much love and appreciation ❤❤ .. @saadsiddig4177
I’m from Sudan and I wouldn’t see these parts of my country, the Sahara, the pyramids, the meet point of the two Niles, although I lived there for 15 years and I knew they were there but I just couldn’t see my own country 💔. Unfortunately I’m out of Sudan rn, but still Sudan lives in my heart ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing the story ❤ and I just want to say Sudan loves you ✨
as a sudanese ive never seen anyone on earth show my country in this way i hope sudan showed and still would show u love the way u showed sudan and its ppl i hope personally u find ur way back to us , till then take good care our prayers are with u
you are such a great storyteller and filmmaker. and you chose the greatest story to tell. the Sudanese deserve so much better. thank you for documenting their story this is why I love RUclips. no one can do it better than independent adventurers like you.
Those are all the small happy details, places, foods, and traditions we used to enjoy daily, but you never know what can happen at anytime. never imagined that someone could have gathered all those beautiful memories this way. Thank you truly for this. It feels great to see you happy like this.
I am from Sudan and I have all my love and respect for you. I thank you very much for talking about what is happening in Sudan. I have not seen a person like you who conveys what is happening in Sudan or talks about the cultures of Sudan and all the regions there.
What an amazing video, have tears in my eyes. Sudan needs to be remembered this way and we will soon have our beloved Sudan back. thank you for making this video and spreading peace and love!
You’re amazing flo and thank u for coming up to Sudan and will hope u come again when stop the war..you really remind me all the memories and happy days in my country I feel miss all of that’s 😞❤️❤️
As a sudanese person, i feel very happy to find other people exploring the true beauty of Sudan and the people there. I was crying in the whole video, this documentary really shows the true beauty and emotions of my homeland. Thank you so much and I hope when the war ends, you come visit us again 🤍🤍.
You touched my heart😭❤ Thank you very much for coming to sudan and sharing these beautiful moments that you spent in ❤❤ I appreciate that, you made me very very very happy❤ I miss Sudan very much and I hope the war stops soon😭
I never felt the need to document what life in Sudan is like, whenever someone ask me i just talked. Thanks to you, now i can show them first hand what is it actually being around Sudanese is like... Your video got me overwhelmed, nostalgic and deeply homesick for my beautiful country, with eyes full of tears, thanks you Flo. We are truly grateful for all of you it's been an honour to be seen through your eyes... From 🇸🇩 with love...
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for showing how beautiful my country is and will always be .... you are such a pure, great storyteller & traveler. I hope you finish your journey safely and hope my country will see the light soon. Really thank you for your video 🙏 you got me teared up 💔
I wasn't ready for this today. I am in tears after watching this video, which I found randomly in my RUclips suggestions. Thank you so much for visiting Sudan, Flo, and for filming it in this incredible way. I miss Sudan very much and I hope peace will come very soon. I will definitely subscribe to your channel and see more of your adventures.
I'm from Sudan, and watched all your videos. I've never thought of I will rewatch them again with nostalgic feeling. Oh pray for Sudan . Thank you so Much 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you for showcasing what’s going on in sudan, speaking about your experiences, speaking up about the war, thank you so much for this video and what you do❤
It’s been over three years since I left home, and just a week ago, I felt a pang of homesickness. I was wondering how generous we are as a society. I thought our actions were normal, but I just found out they’re actually really great. Your video brought back a lot of memories, and I couldn’t help but shed a tear. I hope things get back to normal soon. Thanks so much for sharing your voice with us.
this is the most romantic video i have seen probably all year. romantic in the sense that you looked at our humble country with such love and openness and as such, was returned with the same love and openness. i saw through your eyes things i had bordered on forgetting despite having lived there my whole life, and seeing them now again, after everything that has occurred, well, it really adds a new lens. i have almost forgotten how kind my people are, how hospitable, how generous, but now i remember it so well it's brought tears to my eyes. thank you for coming, thank you for loving, thank you to everyone who was just as loving back, and most of all, thank you for seeing us not as a tragedy, but as devastatingly human.
Ryan, I don’t even know where to start. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting Sudan and capturing its beauty in such a genuine, touching way. Watching your video left me in tears-not just because of the memories it brought back, but because of the deep longing it awakened in me. With everything Sudan is going through now, it’s hard to put into words how much we ache for the life we once had-the simplicity, the joy, the sense of home. Living in another country, no matter how fascinating or comfortable, never fills that void. Sudan isn’t just where we’re from-it’s a part of who we are, and being away feels like leaving a piece of ourselves behind. Your video reminded me of the warmth, the beauty, and the soul of Sudan that we hold onto so tightly, even from afar. Thank you for showing the world the Sudan we know and love, especially during such a difficult time. It’s a gift I’ll never forget, and I’m so grateful you chose to share it with us.
as a Sudanese person watching this video after almost two years of war, I wanna say thank you ! This video is not just a memory and a journey its a message of humble to us who got into so much tragedies due to this conflict. Inshallah Sudan will get back better and stronger and you are once again welcome to the country of light. Once again THANK YOU!!
This video brought back memories dear to the heart of every Sudanese in this time of war (memories of simple daily life). Thank you for sharing these memories from your perspective, and thank you for visiting our dear country We all strive to come back better than we were, to build higher, to shine brighter, and to smile more. I hope that one day you will be able to see our country from our eyes, and see the date gardens in the north, and the shower of comets in the darkness of the desert, and Mount Tutil that hug the city of Kassala, and the plant diversity in the Arkuit Heights, and the hills of the Red Sea On the way to the crystal waters of Suakin, and the coral reefs of Port Sudan, and the city of El Obeid, which is called the “Bride of the Sands”,and the green mountain " Marra" and its fantastic orchards, and much more that I have not written about.
That sounds so incredibly magical and beautiful. I wish I could see it, but I wish a lot more that you people of Sudan can see it and enjoy it, and maybe show it yourself, when all this suffering ends. My heart goes out to you and your lovely country. ❤️
Thank you Flo it’s really really not just a video it’s a beautiful journey showing details of our lives and our culture In a way other than everyone imagines. Thank you once again and hope to come back soon.

Authentic and remarkable! This has been such an emotional rollercoster! I was crying and laughing the whole video! 💔😢 It's been a year and a half since I left Sudan, and I miss it every day. The broken ATMs , the power cuts , the warm homes and hearts.😭 You did capture special events and showcased the true Sudan that we know and love. you don't have to be white to be beautiful , with our natural colour we are so beautiful she said! what a bold statement ! may sudan be great again ... love from a south sudanese brother
This video isn’t just any ordinary clip. The fact that you captured the moments we lived, the experiences we went through each day, the people we met, and all those little things-ah, you know what,I didn’t just watch this video with my eyes; I felt it with my heart. The flood of emotions, the countless memories, the moments that came rushing back… and the reality that we might never live them again. Such kind, cheerful, and always-smiling people, despite their simplicity and the hardships of life, they still find joy. A humble and undeserving people of all the suffering they endure, but there’s nothing they can do. We can only pray and ask Allah for relief.
thank you Ryan for showing what was truly there and what we used to be.. after two years and all that happening am glad someone still remembers the true sudan

As a Sudanese, I'm thrilled to see my country featured in such a stunning way. This video will inspire many to explore my country and see the beauty of our differences. Having lived there my whole life I couldn't imagine i could miss the people the gathering the weather and every single detail about Sudan. May peace be upon Sudan ❤🇸🇩
This really made me cry seeing all of our beautiful culture destroyed , our kindly people suffering . I just wish one day we can go back to our beloved country . Thank u so much for showing people what Sudan was and how our people treated you .
This video is both beautiful and heartbreaking. After two years of war, we still can’t see our country, and every scene reminds us of how much we miss home. Thank you for showing such a beautiful image of Sudan😭it means so much to us.
Really appreciate your pure raw storytelling. You did such a great job capturing how we, as Sudanese, view and love Sudan despite everything. Your video evoked strong emotions in me personally, and it conveyed its message beautifully. Thank you very much really ❤
this is genuinely one of the best videos i've watched on youtube. your storytelling is world class and this was such a heart opening video, thank you for sharing and documenting this so beautifully. every piece you shared was great and so authentic!
Thank you for sharing this video. I have family in Khartoum and they had to flee to Egypt to get away from the war just like many other people. Hopefully the war will end soon and my family in Egypt is only dreading the moment that they can go back home and see that their entire family house is destroyed or ravaged through.
It feels so heartbroken to be a Sudanese and Watch the video.. to look at what we were and what we are now.💔 may God help us 🙏🏻...I don't know you Flo but God bless you for these beautiful video and your kindness.. real kindness is the definition of love 🤍

Thank you for sharing about Sudan The real Sudan the beautiful gorgeous country before the war with amazing people every where I'm happy you enjoyed your journey. May Allah bring peace to our beautiful land again Amen
Thank you for this lovely video. I long for Sudan, my homeland. Khartoum was my home, a place of joy and cherished memories. Though a desert, it was our desert, uniquely Sudanese. I yearn to return to its sands and embrace the life I once knew.
I don't know what to say. My feelings are mixed between joy at watching this beautiful video and sadness for the state of my country today. I love tourists very much when they come to my country and they seem happy on their trip. I really hope to receive them in my home like those in the video and to be fluent in English to communicate with you freely. Thank you for this beautiful video. I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for visiting Sudan and creating this beautiful video.
