What you say is absolutely true, it's better to have no more contact with your ex, even if at the beginning hurts as hell, i know, i was there too, but when you stay, deep down you keep kind of hope to be back with this person, and then when this person doesn't want anything or you see photos of him/her with anoter person, your world falls aparts. So, when it comes to mental peace, please, just try to avoid contact, that's what worked the best for me and eventually i got over this person (kind of, lol) even if , damn, this person really broke my heart to the point that i haven't experienced something more painful in my life so far, genuinely. (I use to listen to podcast like this one to improve my german, but i'm a bit lazy so i'll write in english cuz german is just too hard sometimes hahahah).
