Mirabel did infact get a gift which was immortality and she didnt get a room because what would a room for immortality look like?The madrigals also didnt know this because how would they?its not like anyone ever threwna blade at mirabel to try and kill her before.Although the madrigals didnt know,mirabel mightve already knew because of something in the past like falling from a great height or something but she decided to keep it a secret so that abuela wouldnt force her to get in the way of someone else dying everytime and get hurt by herself(just because she is immortal doesnt mean she doesnt feel pain) she couldnt tell her mother because dolores would hear and tell abuela.
