You just *know* they combined the ST/Support Caster NPs on purpose. If they didn't and more equally separated the Casters into Supportive/Offensive NP then you know the Support Caster banner would be a literal auto-pick for like 90% of players since you'd be guaranteed to tget an account-altering support. Even Crane, despite not being part of the meta crew, is INSANELY good at just pumping damage numbers and then getting out of the way.

I think it's also important to mention that starting next anniversary, all servants older than Castoria will be taken out of the pool. So if you want your GSSR chance at some of the older Servants this is your last chance! (Except Destiny Order of course)

Back in the day, permanent and story locked servants used to be part of the GSSR but starting third anniversary, that was taken out. Considering how cluttered this banner is, I'm not shocked they took out some of them, especially since a lot of the older ones are kinda meh in comparison to the more modern servants.

lmao I'm in a very similar predicament, I'm tempted to roll on Arcs banner for np4 but with everyone else on the banner being either undesirable or people I already have its too risky. Rolling on the ST mainly for MHX but i'm fine with KH or a 2nd copy of kama
Yeah first Holmes I want a lot because digging one up off support lists is not easy when you need him for a CQ. At least he isn't needed every single CQ though. Hard to miss on ST assassin indeed though. I like 3 option gssr's in general though even though one burned me with Semiramis over Kama and Koyan both being amazing.
EXTRA Support NP for me this time. My main target is Lady Avalon, but the rest of the pool are also welcome (I only have Bazett NP1 from that pool). Berserker AoE Offensive NP was my second choice, because every servant from that pool is either new or a nice NP level up. Thanks for another year of fun and helpful videos! I mostly agree with this but except for a few servants: Constantine is actually very good. he gives insane damage buffs for buster servants and solves the problem of buster supports not having defense. Hokusai and Ruler Moriarty both got np buffs, so they are actually decent Bunnytoria provides 40% atk and 50% crit and most of the time gives you good facecards, so shes a pretty decent support
Ereshkigal is also much better than Myst thinks. She, and eventually Shingen, can use CD reduction to turn their 50% battery to 5 turn CD. With Append 5 it goes to 4, letting you actually pull off Black Grail looping with VOO. XNaya has a demo vid of this on his channel
@constantdemonics @jonathangoodwin5609 Since this is a list for NA players, i would not have considered jp buffs that are a long while away, but since myst himself gives points for servants who will get their buffs later is why i thought my points were worth mentioning. I know those servants may not NEED their buffs to be good, but yeah..
Happy to see your very close to 100k, regarding the banners it's another tough choice for me, np2 melt, np2 jacques and np2 protea are the main ones i'm after, protea is probably the hardest one for me since i don't really care for the other servants on her banner, jacques banner is all good besides voyager and melt banner has 3 i don't want, always tough picking one.
For me it'll either be the AOE Lancers or AOE Berserkers. I only have NP4 Melu out of those lancers so either getting her NP 5 or a new Lancer would be welcome. I have all of those AOE Berserkers minus Raikou so getting an NP upgrade for any of them would be greatly welcomed.
People saying that Ryoma lancer is disappointing are missing one important thing... him and Oryou 😭 (got him last GSSR and was so happy cause I was always quartz broke or had big banners that came immediately after their banner)
This and not needing a second Himiko are the only reasons I am not rolling that banner. I desperately want Gogh and would love Lady Avalon ... But that just means I am guaranteed to get The Detective 🤷🏼♀️

Thanks for this! I was actually planning on getting Extra Buster AOE 2 because I only have Ruler Artoria, but now I’m decided on AOE Berserker. The only one I don’t beed to get is Raikou. Already have Musashi at NP3, but I definitely do not mind getting her higher! She’s helped me out more than any servant in the game. From farming to challenge quests.
Debating if i should go for the ST lancer or ST Assassin banner. I really want Scathach for the longest, but i also really want MHX and King Hassan. Tough decisions, especially since the GSSR pools are about to remove the older servants from them, so now more than ever for me. I can also see Myst getting close to 100k subs, you're almost there, you got this, and Happy New Year to anyone reading this.
Despite the low rating, AOE Rider is the only banner that I have nothing on. So between that and the risk of getting NP2 Skadi or Crane, I think I’m gonna play it safe this year

@@PhotonMindNah, Kukulcan is still far better in terms of dealing damage at NP5 120. Arc is just the go to Buster Farmer because of her 100 NP Charge Skill. They have their own areas of speciality, as evidence of some FGOTubers who promote their versatility and DPS capabilities with CQs and Commemorative Quests. Ibuki Zerk on the other hand is leaning towards Castoria, so she's already a league of her own, plus her PMods, although IIRC Kukulcan also has her own PMod, they are proficient in different areas.

@@PhotonMind Well SIbuki can Loop most stuff, without Earth dmg even NP5 won't hit some enemies on Wave one or two and may not be able to loop 1 enemy waves. Arc can run any ECE/CE and Buster loop with VVO and with CD append VOO with some CEs and not have to worry about charge. Just look up the vids and you can see. There are alot lol.
This is the first GSSR I've struggled choosing from, I can't choose between extra single target and extra quick aoe, I only have 1 servant from each, Jalter and Voyager, single target doesn't have anything I'd be disappointed to get but nothing that I want that bad either, quick has ruler Skadi but I don't want Dantes, Doman or np2 Voyager, so it's either a safe bet where I can't be disappointed with the results or a 1/6 for Skadi but with a 50/50 of getting someone I don't want

Alas, if Summer Ibuki isn't counter classed, there's less reason to bring other AOE Arts Servants, especially if it's against a neutral affinity node, like with the extra class ones. S.Ibuki is just too good~. And Summer Servants will always be relevant at least once every year for every summer event. Makes me wish S.Ibuki had a Santa constume so I can enjoy her both in summer and during Xmas lol
27:05 Myst, you forgot to mention that Artoria bunny has a party wide 40% atk up. Unlike characters such as Medb and Cnoc (I'm not a Medb simp I swear), bunny's buff is no strings attached. And on top of that, bunny allows for a better hand in stuff like cqs and aqs. So imo, bunny has amazing support potential.
Extra Buster AoE 2 is kinda perfect for me. I like all 5 of them and don't have any of them, so I'd be fine with whoever I get (main targets are Avenger Nobbu and Kingprotea though).
Honestly, I'm thinking of pulling on the EXTRA Arts AoE banner cause I do want more variety most of the units on it from what I've seen are pretty solid, mostly wanting Moriarty, Space Ishtar or Summer Kama.
Went for Extra ST, maybe not the best pool to go for but the one which I was most likely to get a new Servant I wanted, ended up getting Melt which I'm reasonably happy with. Makes up for the salt that Kirei cost me 450 quartz and ended any chance of getting Kukulkan.
I normally try to play as safe as possible with GSSR's, but ( even though I KNOW it will most likely bite me in the ass ) this time I'm gonna go a bit risky. Abby and Super Bunyan are both probably top 5 biggest fails for me this time around, but getting a higher NP copy for: Yang, Melt, or Tiara, would all be AMAZING. Plus even though I already have NP6 Jalter, another copy would give me enough coins to finish getting her to 120 now ( which is convenient cause I've got a mega-ton of Blazes and Hellfires, and we should be getting a triple success chance during New Years ), so I'd even consider her a Jackpot on this. Wish me luck brothers, cause I'm ALREADY getting a sinking feeling in my gut that I'm gonna get Super Bunyan :'( .
Honestly, I pretty much agreed with your rankings on this gssr one. But man, I laughed so hard when you were like, " I'm going to be roasted in commits, but 4/10". But I don't agree when you said bunnytoria has no utility because of her card draw skill can help a lot when ether rng screws a player over or to get better odds at a specific characters combo.
I will go for Lancer AOE, it's the safest one for me (dupes for melu or eresh are always good, while the other is still fine) Berserk AOE is full dupes, as good as its sounds most of these dupes will feel wasted for me since i have some already on high np (ex. Np 2 Raikou won't do much since I already have np4 godjuna, and while np2 summer ibuki sounds nice I already have np3 summer musashi, this leave rikyu as the only safe dupe one for me)
AOE Berserker, ST Assassin, and “ST” Caster banners are a must roll for every new-ish player who is willing to spend money. That said for a lot of these having Castoria, Skadi, Koyan Light and Oberon is integral to farm so try to obtain each as you play
Decided to go for the assassin banner and got lucky enough to pull double Kama while hoping for Hassan still new to the game so glade to hear she’s good lol

I've been thinking about finally trying one of these but am torn between Eresh's banner and the ST/Support banners. Before pity was put into FGO, I once burned 600SQ trying to get Eresh...instead I got every lancer besides her. I'm suspecting it'll be the same for a GSSR even...so maybe I'll throw the dart on the caster banner. See who I get, since I only really have Castoria.
I'll probably roll ST Assassins, because I have none of them and I would love Gramps or Kama. Sadly all the other Servants I want are on really mediocre lineups with servants I really don't want (or at least not at higher NP copies)
I have a sneaking suspicion we might get a 2nd destiny summon for JP and they might make it available for everyone (because why not, money). There are typically 2 types of GSSRs, class or card type both of the Destiny on JP have been class based, I could see a Card type be split into ST/AE of each type plus 1-2 supports (Arts and Buster/Quick and five it 7/8 choices). They also had the sale on JP for the first time and think they will bring that back, but would they only bring back the 15 Paid SQ or will they bring both back? If you have both why not have a reason to spend the paid 30 SQ. Anyway I plan on Quick AE if nothing happens. If it does I'll do the Destiny for Castoria and Summer Skadi and see what happens.
Probably going to go for AoE Extra Quick. I need more Dantès copies, but I'm not opposed to bringing my Douman or summer Skadi past NP1, either. And the other folks in that group would be new, so I wouldn't hate getting any of them (but especially not Voyager or Bazett). 💚
I'll probably go for AOE Zerks despite already having NP2 Godjuna and NP1s of Sibuki + Morgan... just because I want to upgrade their NPs. I'm not all that interested in the 3 Servants who'll be new to my account. The Support Caster banner would be great if I didn't already own Castoria, Summer Skadi, and NP2 Izumo. I really want Merlin but not with those odds.
I will go with the ST Archers' banner as it's the only one with 0 risk of a dupe (in the opposite direction lies the Caster ST/Supp banner with the probability of getting a new unit is only 1 out of 6) + all are servants I am OK with
I'll probably do the AOE rider one since everyone there would be new for me and I want more rider servants. The AOE berserker one's also not bad since I could get NP2 morgan or summer musashi (although rikyu would be cool to get to).

extra arts offensive np is what Im going for. Sure, most of the servants aren't gameplay breaking, but the other 2 banners I wanted to go for would most likely give me a 4th copy (the ones for Holmes and MHXA). I hope to either get summer Kiara, summer Kama, or Ruler Moriarty, but duplicates for the others in there would not be the worst thing out there (especially if it's for og Kiara) edit: might consider st archers even if its a 33% risk of np2 Squirtoria if I really wanna test my luck for Moriarty
Aoe Zerk for me for sure. It is so far ahead of all the other banners it isn't even a contest. Of course, most the reason for that is I already have a lot of servants, particularly the good ones, so most the other banners got nuked for this reason.
Almost there with the 100K! As for GSSR hmmm once you reach certain point in your account spending money in it it's really a risk, and personally I would only recommend going for those vamners with 3/4 servants cause mathematics are a thing.
I have so many of these Servants I'm literally running ST Rider just because it's one of only three banners where I have a greater than 50% chance - and in this case, the only banner where I have a 100% chance - of getting a new Servant. EDIT: Rolled Maid Alter. yay.
I’m so torn on what to roll for, have most of the meta supports aside from og Merlin and van ghoh. Pretty set on the Merlin banner because lord knows I’ll just end up with a second copy of caster skadi, kinda tempted on the van ghoh banner, because she would be a huge hit, np3 Bazette would be welcome, even np2 himiko wouldn’t be the worst, but an np2 lady avalon would be the low roll for sure. And I really really wanna roll for np3 arc so I can 120 her, but if I hit on anyone besides her or king protea I wouldn’t be thrilled. Anyone got any input?

Iskandar's upgrade giving him party wide 3t defense ignore on a skill kind of edges out Sherlock. He definitely has more value now, if only for niche CQ situations.
Ehh, Sherlock has a 50% battery so getting his NP off isn't very hard. He also does other things that helps support the team. Don't get me wrong it's nice there's more options for team Ignore Defense but I wouldn't bring Iskandar just for that, unless he's also a dps against Casters in the same battle.
Just to add which may not be exactly a big deal if you won't roll for them, the upcoming servants of 2025 might throw a wrench in the valuation of the current servants. Names like Kukulkan, Tiamat, Draco, Tonelico, Berserker Artoria, Summer Melusine and Uesugi Kenshin may easily replace your current even if their NP are already upgraded. Well, it is not guaranteed to get them unless you are prepared to hit pity but i will say supports and very few servants such as S. Ibuki, Arc, Arjuna A. And Morgan can hold their titles in JP standards. I include Van Gogh as a Support but she is also one of the most broken DPS to this day. I want to say i want another copy of Gogh but i might get another Himiko or Holmes from GSSR so i'm undecided for now.
I know the odds are horrible but I need to try and get an Arcueid copy. I have her at NP2 and would love to bump it up to 3. Luckily I got Oberon on his recent banner and I have Koyan Light, Castoria, and Summer Skadi. So I have the luxury of taking the gamble since I'm pretty much set with the major supports. Plus Arc doesn't get a banner for like two years so these GSSRs are the only way to try and get more copies until then
BB is good for cardlocking yes, but with append 5 her stock jumped up significantly I would say same with Arcueid. She doesn't black grail loop, however, her battery skill is also 50% NP damage and you use it twice so she smacks with Oberon. She isn't half bad as a DPS if you use Ciel's 2 and then swap Ciel out for BB her kit does enable her to do a lot of damage and she doesn't even need to mighty chain necessarily since she gets star regen combined with S. Skadi and buster star weight with Koyan. I think you may be underselling ST riders. Yes, Malter is not the best ST rider compared to the likes of Ozy and such. Constantine and Reines are both amazing though and if someone got either without having them already they are happy. 2/3 chance at really good supports with one being quite solid in farming and CQ's in Reines. If you get Malter she's at least waifu and is in one of the best Carnival Phantasm scenes. 2 years ago on JP I picked the caster support one and got Crane. Crane is...interesting to have and she has gotten some use. Not super useful though unless you really need her to meet a damage benchmark in farming and in CQ yeah she is decent in CQ if you need the damage.
Honestly, i think im going to stick with my gut and go st lancer. The goal would be either np2 melu or scathach, but wouldn't say no to tama lancer or brynhild for collection purposes. The luxury of having meta servants already i guess lol

I ended up pulling Space Ishtar NP2 :[ I really wanted OG Kiara which is the only reason I summoned on that banner so it’s a little disappointing but oh well. I made the decision while I was drunk right at midnight just like every other new years GSSR 🤣 the morning clarity made me wish I summoned on the support Casters for potentially NP2 Castoria/OG Skadi/Miss Crane
You may have forgotten to mention it, but Abigail got a buff on JP this year. She's now a 50% charger, and plays more into her multicore roll with 100% anti terror for one turn. For the extra arts banner, if I may suggest it, but I'd avoid using the "just use Summer Ibuki" argument. Summer Ibuki is better than most if not all aoe servants, not just arts. So unless you wanted to just say skip all aoe banners for Summer Ibuki's, I feel it may be a bit unfair to specifically target the extra arts aoe banner when the other aoe banners didn't get the same analysis.
I'll probably go with ST Extra, it's a banner with only new Servants for me and mostly no bad results. Melt, Taira and Jeanne are offensive powerhouses, especially Melt after getting her buff, only Foreigner I have is XX Idol so Yang would be useful, Abby could be good for multicore even though I'm not a fan of her, and Bunyan isn't that bad after her last upgrade.
I did AoE berseker cause I just got Koyanskaya Oberon and Castoria and the only person I had for them was Summer Kama NP1 and Artoria NP2. Got Morgan for the first card and thought, "Eh," and then I got another copy. Blessed account.
24:50 is quite absurd, especially considering the 6/10 to the AoE assassin one. Outside of Koyan that banner has nothing like the extra aoe arts one, and while S. Ibuki exists that doesn't devalue all the other loopers that much, and arts AoE looping is still the most friendly introduction to looping for beginners or smaller accounts. 4/10 definitely deserves a bit of criticism regarding your metrics. Not that it matters much, as it's subjective, but as advice to players I'd say it's a bad evaluation. 6/10 would have been far better, even though I'd say it's more like a 7/10 banner.
I disagree. Extra classes mostly hit neutral which is a big blowback. People tend to say it's a positive but I'd argue you'd rather have 2.0x hitters of respective normal classes instead of a neutral specialist. Yes it's more investment because it requires a bigger roster but it's what people should strive for. Of course if Spishtar for instance is your favorite Servant and you are going for like 120 NP5 , the whole nine yards then yeah sure you can make do but I'm being realistic with NP levels on this one.
I kinda want to finally NP5 Okita, but I don't like the odds on that banner (and I already have Musashi, too), so I might go for Single Target 'zerker since I have none of the picks there or Extra Buster AoE 2 for a chance at Arc or NP2 Nobu/Protea.
After playing for many years at this point, GSSR becomes harder and harder to choose because you already have so many of them, especially the ones you like and already have at NP2. Maybe I will try my luck at getting Reines finally.
While I would love to grab Merlin from the 10/10 Caster banner, I already have Castoria, Skadi, and Crane so an Np2 of those would be a whiff for me. The 2 main banners that are calling me are Extra Support and AoE Berserker: AoE berserker: I already have a grailed NP2 Summer Ibuki, and wouldn't mind any of the other Berserkers but they would all be NP1, so they wouldn't be immediately picked over Ibuki Extra Support: I wouldn't mind Himiko, Avalon, or Gogh as I like all 3 (Bazette is decent in my mind), but I already have Holmes and Qin Shi so they would be whiffs. I THINK am leaning towards Extra Support but hope my luck holds from the Summer GSSR (I got Castoria and it changed my life lol)
I know that it might be smarter for me to go AOE Berserker to try and get an extra copy of most of the servants (the only ones I don't have is Rikyu and Summer Ibuki) but I have to go the waifu route and try to get NP2 Shishou (an NP2 Melusine would be an excellent consolation)

lmao I'm in a very similar predicament, I'm tempted to roll on Arcs banner for np4 but with everyone else on the banner being either undesirable or people I already have its too risky. Rolling on the ST mainly for MHX but i'm fine with KH or a 2nd copy of kama
Yeah first Holmes I want a lot because digging one up off support lists is not easy when you need him for a CQ. At least he isn't needed every single CQ though. Hard to miss on ST assassin indeed though. I like 3 option gssr's in general though even though one burned me with Semiramis over Kama and Koyan both being amazing.
EXTRA Support NP for me this time. My main target is Lady Avalon, but the rest of the pool are also welcome (I only have Bazett NP1 from that pool). Berserker AoE Offensive NP was my second choice, because every servant from that pool is either new or a nice NP level up.

I mostly agree with this but except for a few servants:
Constantine is actually very good. he gives insane damage buffs for buster servants and solves the problem of buster supports not having defense.
Hokusai and Ruler Moriarty both got np buffs, so they are actually decent
Bunnytoria provides 40% atk and 50% crit and most of the time gives you good facecards, so shes a pretty decent support
Constantine won’t be good *until* he gets that buff but that’s still for a long while
Ereshkigal is also much better than Myst thinks.
She, and eventually Shingen, can use CD reduction to turn their 50% battery to 5 turn CD. With Append 5 it goes to 4, letting you actually pull off Black Grail looping with VOO.

Happy to see your very close to 100k, regarding the banners it's another tough choice for me, np2 melt, np2 jacques and np2 protea are the main ones i'm after, protea is probably the hardest one for me since i don't really care for the other servants on her banner, jacques banner is all good besides voyager and melt banner has 3 i don't want, always tough picking one.

Ruler Artoria isn't that bad anymore after her buff this year. She is good in some comps for damage purposes as well as NP Gain.
For me it'll either be the AOE Lancers or AOE Berserkers. I only have NP4 Melu out of those lancers so either getting her NP 5 or a new Lancer would be welcome. I have all of those AOE Berserkers minus Raikou so getting an NP upgrade for any of them would be greatly welcomed.
People saying that Ryoma lancer is disappointing are missing one important thing... him and Oryou 😭 (got him last GSSR and was so happy cause I was always quartz broke or had big banners that came immediately after their banner)

I was about to select the ST Berserker banner because I don't have any of 3 from that banner.

Thanks for this! I was actually planning on getting Extra Buster AOE 2 because I only have Ruler Artoria, but now I’m decided on AOE Berserker. The only one I don’t beed to get is Raikou. Already have Musashi at NP3, but I definitely do not mind getting her higher! She’s helped me out more than any servant in the game. From farming to challenge quests.
Debating if i should go for the ST lancer or ST Assassin banner.
I really want Scathach for the longest, but i also really want MHX and King Hassan. Tough decisions, especially since the GSSR pools are about to remove the older servants from them, so now more than ever for me.

After new Appends Arcueid is extremely strong even without very high copy. Summer BB also got much, much better and now she is even good farmer.

@@PhotonMindNah, Kukulcan is still far better in terms of dealing damage at NP5 120. Arc is just the go to Buster Farmer because of her 100 NP Charge Skill. They have their own areas of speciality, as evidence of some FGOTubers who promote their versatility and DPS capabilities with CQs and Commemorative Quests. Ibuki Zerk on the other hand is leaning towards Castoria, so she's already a league of her own, plus her PMods, although IIRC Kukulcan also has her own PMod, they are proficient in different areas.

@@PhotonMind Well SIbuki can Loop most stuff, without Earth dmg even NP5 won't hit some enemies on Wave one or two and may not be able to loop 1 enemy waves.
Arc can run any ECE/CE and Buster loop with VVO and with CD append VOO with some CEs and not have to worry about charge. Just look up the vids and you can see. There are alot lol.

This is the first GSSR I've struggled choosing from, I can't choose between extra single target and extra quick aoe, I only have 1 servant from each, Jalter and Voyager, single target doesn't have anything I'd be disappointed to get but nothing that I want that bad either, quick has ruler Skadi but I don't want Dantes, Doman or np2 Voyager, so it's either a safe bet where I can't be disappointed with the results or a 1/6 for Skadi but with a 50/50 of getting someone I don't want

24:44 Actually I agree with your rating here. Alas, if Summer Ibuki isn't counter classed, there's less reason to bring other AOE Arts Servants, especially if it's against a neutral affinity node, like with the extra class ones. S.Ibuki is just too good~.
And Summer Servants will always be relevant at least once every year for every summer event. Makes me wish S.Ibuki had a Santa constume so I can enjoy her both in summer and during Xmas lol
27:05 Myst, you forgot to mention that Artoria bunny has a party wide 40% atk up. Unlike characters such as Medb and Cnoc (I'm not a Medb simp I swear), bunny's buff is no strings attached. And on top of that, bunny allows for a better hand in stuff like cqs and aqs. So imo, bunny has amazing support potential.
Extra Buster AoE 2 is kinda perfect for me. I like all 5 of them and don't have any of them, so I'd be fine with whoever I get (main targets are Avenger Nobbu and Kingprotea though).

Went for Extra ST, maybe not the best pool to go for but the one which I was most likely to get a new Servant I wanted, ended up getting Melt which I'm reasonably happy with. Makes up for the salt that Kirei cost me 450 quartz and ended any chance of getting Kukulkan.

I normally try to play as safe as possible with GSSR's, but ( even though I KNOW it will most likely bite me in the ass ) this time I'm gonna go a bit risky. Abby and Super Bunyan are both probably top 5 biggest fails for me this time around, but getting a higher NP copy for: Yang, Melt, or Tiara, would all be AMAZING. Plus even though I already have NP6 Jalter, another copy would give me enough coins to finish getting her to 120 now ( which is convenient cause I've got a mega-ton of Blazes and Hellfires, and we should be getting a triple success chance during New Years ), so I'd even consider her a Jackpot on this.

Honestly, I pretty much agreed with your rankings on this gssr one. But man, I laughed so hard when you were like, " I'm going to be roasted in commits, but 4/10". But I don't agree when you said bunnytoria has no utility because of her card draw skill can help a lot when ether rng screws a player over or to get better odds at a specific characters combo.
I will go for Lancer AOE, it's the safest one for me (dupes for melu or eresh are always good, while the other is still fine)
Berserk AOE is full dupes, as good as its sounds most of these dupes will feel wasted for me since i have some already on high np (ex. Np 2 Raikou won't do much since I already have np4 godjuna, and while np2 summer ibuki sounds nice I already have np3 summer musashi, this leave rikyu as the only safe dupe one for me)
AOE Berserker, ST Assassin, and “ST” Caster banners are a must roll for every new-ish player who is willing to spend money. That said for a lot of these having Castoria, Skadi, Koyan Light and Oberon is integral to farm so try to obtain each as you play
Decided to go for the assassin banner and got lucky enough to pull double Kama while hoping for Hassan still new to the game so glade to hear she’s good lol

I've been thinking about finally trying one of these but am torn between Eresh's banner and the ST/Support banners.
Before pity was put into FGO, I once burned 600SQ trying to get Eresh...instead I got every lancer besides her. I'm suspecting it'll be the same for a GSSR even...so maybe I'll throw the dart on the caster banner. See who I get, since I only really have Castoria.

I'll probably roll ST Assassins, because I have none of them and I would love Gramps or Kama. Sadly all the other Servants I want are on really mediocre lineups with servants I really don't want (or at least not at higher NP copies)
I have a sneaking suspicion we might get a 2nd destiny summon for JP and they might make it available for everyone (because why not, money).
There are typically 2 types of GSSRs, class or card type both of the Destiny on JP have been class based, I could see a Card type be split into ST/AE of each type plus 1-2 supports (Arts and Buster/Quick and five it 7/8 choices).
They also had the sale on JP for the first time and think they will bring that back, but would they only bring back the 15 Paid SQ or will they bring both back? If you have both why not have a reason to spend the paid 30 SQ.
Anyway I plan on Quick AE if nothing happens. If it does I'll do the Destiny for Castoria and Summer Skadi and see what happens.
Probably going to go for AoE Extra Quick. I need more Dantès copies, but I'm not opposed to bringing my Douman or summer Skadi past NP1, either. And the other folks in that group would be new, so I wouldn't hate getting any of them (but especially not Voyager or Bazett). 💚
I'll probably go for AOE Zerks despite already having NP2 Godjuna and NP1s of Sibuki + Morgan... just because I want to upgrade their NPs. I'm not all that interested in the 3 Servants who'll be new to my account.
The Support Caster banner would be great if I didn't already own Castoria, Summer Skadi, and NP2 Izumo. I really want Merlin but not with those odds.
Pulled on AOE Lancers and got the only one I didn't want... Ryoma... but after looking at their third asc, it's actually pretty cool looking

Saber shiki after her next buff can black grail loop. Shes one of the best general use sabers in the game. Strong, durable, IK mooks

extra arts offensive np is what Im going for. Sure, most of the servants aren't gameplay breaking, but the other 2 banners I wanted to go for would most likely give me a 4th copy (the ones for Holmes and MHXA). I hope to either get summer Kiara, summer Kama, or Ruler Moriarty, but duplicates for the others in there would not be the worst thing out there (especially if it's for og Kiara)
edit: might consider st archers even if its a 33% risk of np2 Squirtoria if I really wanna test my luck for Moriarty
Aoe Zerk for me for sure. It is so far ahead of all the other banners it isn't even a contest. Of course, most the reason for that is I already have a lot of servants, particularly the good ones, so most the other banners got nuked for this reason.

As for GSSR hmmm once you reach certain point in your account spending money in it it's really a risk, and personally I would only recommend going for those vamners with 3/4 servants cause mathematics are a thing.
I have so many of these Servants I'm literally running ST Rider just because it's one of only three banners where I have a greater than 50% chance - and in this case, the only banner where I have a 100% chance - of getting a new Servant.

Pretty set on the Merlin banner because lord knows I’ll just end up with a second copy of caster skadi, kinda tempted on the van ghoh banner, because she would be a huge hit, np3 Bazette would be welcome, even np2 himiko wouldn’t be the worst, but an np2 lady avalon would be the low roll for sure. And I really really wanna roll for np3 arc so I can 120 her, but if I hit on anyone besides her or king protea I wouldn’t be thrilled. Anyone got any input?

Iskandar's upgrade giving him party wide 3t defense ignore on a skill kind of edges out Sherlock. He definitely has more value now, if only for niche CQ situations.
Ehh, Sherlock has a 50% battery so getting his NP off isn't very hard. He also does other things that helps support the team. Don't get me wrong it's nice there's more options for team Ignore Defense but I wouldn't bring Iskandar just for that, unless he's also a dps against Casters in the same battle.
@MystFGO I agree on Sherlock over Iskandar, but also because Sherlock does defense down on his NP which you may have missed in your video.
Aiming for AoE Lancer. I have a 4/5 chance of getting someone new, with the only dupe being Eresh, which would be very welcome!
Just to add which may not be exactly a big deal if you won't roll for them, the upcoming servants of 2025 might throw a wrench in the valuation of the current servants. Names like Kukulkan, Tiamat, Draco, Tonelico, Berserker Artoria, Summer Melusine and Uesugi Kenshin may easily replace your current even if their NP are already upgraded. Well, it is not guaranteed to get them unless you are prepared to hit pity but i will say supports and very few servants such as S. Ibuki, Arc, Arjuna A. And Morgan can hold their titles in JP standards. I include Van Gogh as a Support but she is also one of the most broken DPS to this day. I want to say i want another copy of Gogh but i might get another Himiko or Holmes from GSSR so i'm undecided for now.
I know the odds are horrible but I need to try and get an Arcueid copy. I have her at NP2 and would love to bump it up to 3. Luckily I got Oberon on his recent banner and I have Koyan Light, Castoria, and Summer Skadi. So I have the luxury of taking the gamble since I'm pretty much set with the major supports. Plus Arc doesn't get a banner for like two years so these GSSRs are the only way to try and get more copies until then

BB is good for cardlocking yes, but with append 5 her stock jumped up significantly I would say same with Arcueid. She doesn't black grail loop, however, her battery skill is also 50% NP damage and you use it twice so she smacks with Oberon. She isn't half bad as a DPS if you use Ciel's 2 and then swap Ciel out for BB her kit does enable her to do a lot of damage and she doesn't even need to mighty chain necessarily since she gets star regen combined with S. Skadi and buster star weight with Koyan.
I think you may be underselling ST riders. Yes, Malter is not the best ST rider compared to the likes of Ozy and such. Constantine and Reines are both amazing though and if someone got either without having them already they are happy. 2/3 chance at really good supports with one being quite solid in farming and CQ's in Reines. If you get Malter she's at least waifu and is in one of the best Carnival Phantasm scenes.
2 years ago on JP I picked the caster support one and got Crane. Crane is...interesting to have and she has gotten some use. Not super useful though unless you really need her to meet a damage benchmark in farming and in CQ yeah she is decent in CQ if you need the damage.
Honestly, i think im going to stick with my gut and go st lancer.
The goal would be either np2 melu or scathach, but wouldn't say no to tama lancer or brynhild for collection purposes. The luxury of having meta servants already i guess lol

I ended up pulling Space Ishtar NP2 :[ I really wanted OG Kiara which is the only reason I summoned on that banner so it’s a little disappointing but oh well. I made the decision while I was drunk right at midnight just like every other new years GSSR 🤣 the morning clarity made me wish I summoned on the support Casters for potentially NP2 Castoria/OG Skadi/Miss Crane

You may have forgotten to mention it, but Abigail got a buff on JP this year. She's now a 50% charger, and plays more into her multicore roll with 100% anti terror for one turn.
For the extra arts banner, if I may suggest it, but I'd avoid using the "just use Summer Ibuki" argument. Summer Ibuki is better than most if not all aoe servants, not just arts.
So unless you wanted to just say skip all aoe banners for Summer Ibuki's, I feel it may be a bit unfair to specifically target the extra arts aoe banner when the other aoe banners didn't get the same analysis.
Going for AOE Zerker to either get a new farmer or new NP copies on the ones i already use. Wish me luck, hoping for NP2 Sen no Rikyuu or Musashi.
I'll probably go with ST Extra, it's a banner with only new Servants for me and mostly no bad results. Melt, Taira and Jeanne are offensive powerhouses, especially Melt after getting her buff, only Foreigner I have is XX Idol so Yang would be useful, Abby could be good for multicore even though I'm not a fan of her, and Bunyan isn't that bad after her last upgrade.
If Holmes wasn’t on that banner, I’d probably go for that one. But I got him out of the last 2 GSSR banners, I can’t chance that shit again
I did AoE berseker cause I just got Koyanskaya Oberon and Castoria and the only person I had for them was Summer Kama NP1 and Artoria NP2. Got Morgan for the first card and thought, "Eh," and then I got another copy. Blessed account.
24:50 is quite absurd, especially considering the 6/10 to the AoE assassin one. Outside of Koyan that banner has nothing like the extra aoe arts one, and while S. Ibuki exists that doesn't devalue all the other loopers that much, and arts AoE looping is still the most friendly introduction to looping for beginners or smaller accounts. 4/10 definitely deserves a bit of criticism regarding your metrics. Not that it matters much, as it's subjective, but as advice to players I'd say it's a bad evaluation. 6/10 would have been far better, even though I'd say it's more like a 7/10 banner.
I disagree. Extra classes mostly hit neutral which is a big blowback. People tend to say it's a positive but I'd argue you'd rather have 2.0x hitters of respective normal classes instead of a neutral specialist. Yes it's more investment because it requires a bigger roster but it's what people should strive for. Of course if Spishtar for instance is your favorite Servant and you are going for like 120 NP5 , the whole nine yards then yeah sure you can make do but I'm being realistic with NP levels on this one.

I kinda want to finally NP5 Okita, but I don't like the odds on that banner (and I already have Musashi, too), so I might go for Single Target 'zerker since I have none of the picks there or Extra Buster AoE 2 for a chance at Arc or NP2 Nobu/Protea.
After playing for many years at this point, GSSR becomes harder and harder to choose because you already have so many of them, especially the ones you like and already have at NP2. Maybe I will try my luck at getting Reines finally.

While I would love to grab Merlin from the 10/10 Caster banner, I already have Castoria, Skadi, and Crane so an Np2 of those would be a whiff for me.
The 2 main banners that are calling me are Extra Support and AoE Berserker:
AoE berserker: I already have a grailed NP2 Summer Ibuki, and wouldn't mind any of the other Berserkers but they would all be NP1, so they wouldn't be immediately picked over Ibuki
Extra Support: I wouldn't mind Himiko, Avalon, or Gogh as I like all 3 (Bazette is decent in my mind), but I already have Holmes and Qin Shi so they would be whiffs.
I THINK am leaning towards Extra Support but hope my luck holds from the Summer GSSR (I got Castoria and it changed my life lol)

I know that it might be smarter for me to go AOE Berserker to try and get an extra copy of most of the servants (the only ones I don't have is Rikyu and Summer Ibuki) but I have to go the waifu route and try to get NP2 Shishou (an NP2 Melusine would be an excellent consolation)
I'm torn between AOE Berserkers and support Extra. Already have 2/6 on each so a little scared to roll any of them. Support casters seems interesting too, and I have only Castoria, but too scared to get any of damaging ones.
