    i was wondering how these things worked and this video was a godsend, i appreciated the in depth explanations as they really helped understand the ins and outs of the machines.

    We had a neighbor in the 1950's that used a tiny Weeder to because it was so wide used it to break the crust of large water holes to help dry them out in the spring

    How is this not tearing up crops when the video clearly shows the crops 6" tall. ?
    I usually till 3 times a few days apart and then plant how is this better ?

      The crop is fairly tough at 6". The tines may pull a few out if it's set really aggressive or you are going too fast. The weeds, as long as you've been able to do a pre-emergent pass, will be just germinating/ white thread stage so are easily disturbed and killed by the tines, while the crop is left.
