It brought tears to my eyes to see my all time favorite JUDY on the show. I was so lucky to see her perform in NYC several times before she died. she put on a great, great show! I got to give her a bouquet of flowers at the end of one show and give her a hug. Let me tell you she was sweating and could hardly breathe at the end. She always gave 100%.
As was noted by "WML?" producer Gil Fates in his 1977 book about the classic TV series. Gil wrote that Mark Goodson was about to be the standby mystery guest when Judy arrived.
Judy looks great. She was charming and funny. I love the little backwards kick she does when she gives each panelist a goodbye kiss. On previous comments here that accuse Judy of being drunk, it never ceases to disgust me when so called Judy fans find it necessary to say nasty things about her. Judy had mannerisms that made her appear highly emotional and vulnerable. It's what endeared her to her public. Those who choose to misinterpret her famous mannerisms by labeling her drunk or stoned are just showing their lack of class. If Judy had been drunk or stoned here, her walk would not have been so graceful.
She was fired from the movie production of Valley of the Dolls, replaced by Susan Hayward. And yes, she died a few years later from an apparently accidental overdose of pills.
Susan B yes, autopsy showed malnutrition and she actually passed out while sitting on the toilet and her head slumped down, causing her tongue to roll back and she suffocated. There were pills in her system but it wasn’t an overdose. Her body just gave out. It was only a matter of time. I just pray she didn’t suffer.
@@abriellehorvath3195 She sure must've been taking a lot of pills her whole life and yes they said she would starve herself and then binge. She couldn't eat normally.
She was drugged out her whole life. Her jerky motions were caused by years of amphetamine addiction and she used excessive alcohol and barbiturates to come off. It's amazing she lived as long as she did.
@@vickihshallenberger3644: I can't explain it. She is not the only one. There is Clark Gable, John Wayne, James Stewart, Ingrid Bergman, Grace Kelly, Lauren Bacall, Eddie Fisher, Andy Williams, Rod Steiger, Otto Preminger, Arlene Francis, Jackie Gleason, Andy Griffith, Don Knotts and many many many more!!!

JUDY ! JUDY ! JUDY! the greatest of all times
Judy, sadly, would be gone a couple of years later...gone but never forgotten ❤️🎩😢
Love you Judy 👸🏻
Judy almost didn't make it, she arrived at the studio just minutes before going on.
As was noted by "WML?" producer Gil Fates in his 1977 book about the classic TV series. Gil wrote that Mark Goodson was about to be the standby mystery guest when Judy arrived.
Why she did that?
well judy looks a bit inebriated here :(
Hey guys, Judy came to the studio from Liza's wedding. That why she was almost late.
"Watch with sound!"
...how else would I watch it?
ROTF
In Twenty-22, she would have been 100 years old!!!!!!!!!!

Hello? She was a drunk and addict.
agreed!
love this
Great show 👏.
Judy Garland was a hard working lady. Lovely.
Wow. They were still filming in black and white in 1967?
Judy Garland tried to disguise her voice at first, dead give away.
I decided to watch with interest AND sound. (If that's alright)
wasnt the guy in the top job commercial the same guy who sang "what does this mean?" in the mcdonald's commerical several years later?
That looks like the actor David Huddleston (The Big Lebowski) in the TopJob commercial.
The young wine tester did a semi curtsy to the panel, very sweet.
I though she was the cutest ever
She looked 12 years old !!
Am I the only one wondering who the heck Sue Oakland is?
I think she knew somebody who knew somebody.
Editorial director for WCBS in New York
I've got 2 great Danes in house right now!!!
This remarkable Gail Mutrix...I wonder what she did with her life.
hubba hubba mrs. beautrix
The Wine Steward looks like a teenager. I wonder what the legal age to drink alcoholic beverages was then.
19 in New York. I was there in 1968 at 20. My first legal drink.
@@williamarndt9465 okay thanks. It was 21 in some states.
Gail Mutrix, the first guest, went on to be an acclaimed filmmaker with such credits as Quiz Show, Donnie Brasco, Nurse Betty and The Danish Girl!
That's Mutrux. This woman is Mutrix.
@@brandonflorida1092 Same person. She sometimes went by Mutrix. This appearance is listed in her IMDB entry.
I'm the only one in the book that doesn't take pills. She had a good sense of humor.

@@Mezzotenor I heard she was fired. She still had a good sense of humor and was a wonderful person.
@@Mezzotenor I saw an autopsy show about her death. She didn't take a bunch of pills at once and kill herself. It from a lifetime of taking pills.

Who was the 3 rd panelist ?
Sue Oakland.
Judy was fired from Valley of the Dolls and replaced by susan Hayward, who was dying. All so sad
I like Mrs. Mutrix's pajamas.
Bennett Cerf must have had a difficult time making the cultural shifts in the mid-1960s calling a woman's pants suit pajamas.
He was overtly sexist.
He rides the borderline of inappropriate consistently.
Often offensive!
If you think Bennett was inappropriate, you should watch episodes with Hal Bloch from 1950- 1953.
Lalapolooza! I haven't heard that in a long time. I'm going to use this word, add it to my vocabulary.
Liza's husband was Peter Allen who was gay. She ended up marrying 4 times.
Judy is a god in the gay community.
,,
hmmm, Great Danes. How about Lesser Norwegians?
Judy Garland was plastered.
Left wedding reception

Judy Garland is another one I detest(ed)! I loved the Wizard of Oz but not her!
😡!
I wonder why? I'm just curious

yeah I am sure she would detest you too - I know I DO!
Judy was treated horribly as a kid, and became a full- blown addict in every way possible.
