sadly after the first game the studio (or the franchise can't remember) was bought and the new team misunderstood what made the original game so captivating though simplistic, the execution of mounting suspense using light and sound effects was masterful, the game has a mood that puts us constantly in an eerie and cryptic ambient even the flickering of the HUD was done with purpose instead, in fear 2 and 3 they only used those batshit effects to try to spook or disgust the player and nothing else

Alwa6s loved getting that spike gun and see the enemies pinned to the wall. It was a very fun, fluid controls and excellent game
