That was Juanes introducing them. He's a rockstar from Colombia back in the 2000's. That was a cool intro going off the generic script and giving them a sincere introduction since they may not know The Warning, but they know Juanes so now everyone knows it meant something special. And congratulations on your trip to CDMX! Can't wait to see your vlog of the concert.
Yeah I figured his introduction was important to keep in the video. I’m surprised none of the other videos I’ve seen of this performance on RUclips have included it like I did.
I love all 3 to bits but there’s something about Ale… the youngest, keeping up with her crazy older sisters for more than a decade… it just hits different.
Before the awards show, they performed for the music producers in Miami, which is a huge deal to introduce them to a lot of big names in music who haven't heard of them (and those who have heard of them but hadn't heard their music). They performed their cover of You Oughta Know live, which of course showcases the diversity of their skills and talent. I've seen a clip of it, so it exists somewhere.
The people who appeared applauding in the public are Carlos Vives (Colombian singer and multiple Grammy winner) and person of the year and the girl from Azul is Karol G Colombian Reggaeton singer, also winner of several Grammy. I like that they applaud them this way because they know that there is a lot of talent in the girls of The Warning.
The national auditorium is a venue designed for musical concerts, (unlike the Pepsi Center), the acoustics are very good, and they will be able to bring all their sound and lighting equipment, in front of about 10,000 spectators, I think it will be a great show.
We've only seen them twice so far - first was two years ago, second was a couple months ago. As much as I want them to take a friggin' BREAK, I'm looking forward to next year.
Hahaha yup! But I think that’ll be the end of my world tour for them. Mexico just happens to be my favorite place to vacation and we were supposed to go in December so we just pushed it to make this show happen ☺️
@@ashlenamusic OMG, I absolutely love Mexico. Best vacation of my life was a week just chilling in San Felipe. I've spent a lot of time and a lot of miles off-roading in Baja and Sonora. Such a lovely country...
Juanes is one of the most important musicians that Colombia has had in recent years. He started making metal with a band in Medellín, however, he realized over the years that unfortunately that was not going to lead him to fame and he began to make fusions of rock with elements of Latin music and later with pop. Juanes is also on the Black List Album to which The Warning was also invited by Metallica. As a Colombian, I am very happy to see that Juanes, and now the rest of the Latin musical academy, is also beginning to recognize them (even if his presentation does not have a complete song) Sorry if there are errors in my writing, I'm using Google Translate 😅
Even though they had to shorten the song, the cool thing is that they had the stage to themselves. Even Jon BonJovi was mashed with other artists. They surely had some fans there and probably some new ones too!⚡🤘🔥
So awesome that you're going to be at the Feb. 6th show in CDMX. Wow that's so cool. DPA performance was cut short but I think it Sent a huge shock wave to an industry that needs to wake up and realize that Rock is also a sub genre of a diverse Latin Music. Viva TW. Greetings TWA-LA

The song that "won" the Grammy was by an artist that has been around a long time in the industry and is friends with the husband of Gloria Estefan . The actual song came out eleven years ago and it "qualified" because the artist sang it live last year. Go figure. The song sucks i would not call it rock by any means. I have been reading that since it was the 25th anniversary of the latin Grammy's they had a lot of artists performing and some of those artists also had to shorten their songs.
Thanks for your reaction. I just remembered that Pau's birthday is Feb 5th, the day before that concert (I remember because it's the same as my mother's was/is). Pau was born in 2002.
Singing time at the Grammys is very limited for all artists. It was the same for all the artists who presented. Wow - The Warning busts out their best performances in CDMX!! For the Latin Grammy's I liked how Dany had her hair, and thought she looked so cool jamming out while watching Ale's section. Hey!!!... That announcement is great!... You are definitely going to enjoy it, the venue is great, Pau and Dany have been talking about preparations and "Its gonna be something never seen" and I believe them, so, besides a great show, if you are staying close to the venue that is one of the fanciest zones in Mexico City with lots and lots of things to see... all kinds of gastronomy, many museums (Anthropology and National History ones are not to be missed), also Downtown is near with its many Colonial buildings and even more museums to see. Mexico City is my home town, so the same I said to Jeremy & Jillian goes for you, if you have any questions feel free to ask, I'll do my best to help.

i’ve seen a ton of comments putting down the Latin Grammy awards for only giving them a few minutes to sing. The fact is that most acts on the show have to play abbreviated songs. To be a first time performer at the show as a relatively new band is absolutely incredible. you just can’t pay for this kind of exposure. Just the amount of contacts and interest that they generated makes it worth it. Sure it would be great to see them. Sing a full set on stage, but the reality is that that thing doesn’t happen with this kind of show. Even during the Super Bowl, acts usually have to play shortened songs. That’s why you usually see medleys and things like that.
Great news about your trip. I'll be there and I'm turning it into a mini vacation too. Mexico City looks pretty amazing with lots of walkable neighborhoods even though it's a giant city.
The person announcing The Warning is Juanes. He is a Pop Rock singer from Colombia. He has won several Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards. You should check him out, I bet you’d like his music.
Vamoooos, I hope I get to say hi when you’re here! The city is really nice and there a lot of places you can go and have a really nice time. Coyoacán, a lot of beautiful sightseeing and parks, Chapultepec castle the most historical place in the city, a lot of museums (if you are into them) spread over the city, downtown is also good to tour but I personally don’t like it cause it is always really REALLY crowded, I hope that you enjoy your stay!
I have never been to Mexico city, hope you have a good time/experience and dont get overwhelmed. I imagine its like going to L.A due to the millions of people that live there.
The Latin Grammys basically celebrate mainstream music, and in Latin America the most popular music is reggaeton and similar styles, with very little space for the rock genre and even less for Hard Rock or Metal. So The Warning takes advantage of this space to reach a larger audience. However, they entered the competition in a pop/rock category that I think does not adequately correspond to the genre. In addition, the winner is a singer with a long career in pop who released a song several years ago and performed it live. It seems very unfair to me that they compete in this way, but on the other hand I understand that this space, although inadequate, serves as a platform to promote the band more. I sincerely see that they are more appreciated in other English-speaking countries. Greetings from Peru
Congratulations on being able to go to Mexico and see them in that beautiful Theatre. Very envious. You have some very generous viewers. I am not only looking forward to that day to see all the fan cams, but your vlog as well. Lets hope the girls get plenty of rest for the next 2.5 months, but lets hope they do some writing of their own and maybe we'll get an Official Music Video for Sharks. LOL!
Congrats for coming to the Mexico concerts! I will be there too, as a Monterrey native, if you need some guide who speaks both languages, feel free to send me a message to make your trip more comfortable, hope to see you there!
You know they'll get there eventually, Ash. There are still too many "more popular" groups out there, and we all know these award shows are basically popularity contests. Give it time. ⚡🤘⚡
Neat reaction. Wierd about the truncated version of Qué Más Quieres. Shame they didn't win, but you are right, it is awesome that The Warning got nominated. That is huge. That said I am still sad they didn't win, if only because seeing a rock band accepting an award with their mother as a co-writer would have been really cool. And about your holiday to Mexico: yay!! And seeing The Warning, in Mexico, at the biggest venue they've headline at to date:YAY!!!!!!!!!
How cool is that you are coming to CDMX for The Warning's concert! Maybe I'll meet you there. Here are some other places you can go during your stay: Chapultepec forest, castillo de chapultepec, antropollogy museum, walk allong reforma avenue, Palacio de Bellas Artes, Templo Mayor, Coyoacán, las trajineras and, if rou have some time, Teotihuacán
Omg I’m so excited for you 😊 to experience The Warning in CDMX will be awesome 👏 the city is full of awesome places 😊 I’ve never been to CDMX but as a Mexican citizen it’s in my bucket list, so many museums, food, the Chapultepec park and castle, the pyramids of Teotihuacán, the downtown area and Zocalo which is one of the world’s largest city squares and the heart of the Aztec empire, in fact they found the main Aztec pyramid close by and now it’s a museum, I can go on and on and on but of course you have your lil girl with you so probably a lot of walking won’t work too much but definitely experience the “centro histórico”, many cool places are nearby like the china town, the Teatro Bellas Artes and the Alameda park, most definitely would be a better experience if one of your subs from down there can show you guys around 😊 but many people go alone too and they love it. Go Ashlena, go and live the life I can’t live 😂😢😅

I hope so too! And thank you xx
I have never been to Mexico city, hope you have a good time/experience and dont get overwhelmed. I imagine its like going to L.A due to the millions of people that live there.
Yea I bet it’ll be an experience
Nos vemos en México! 🤘
🤘🏽🤘🏽
LOL!
That would be awesome!!
Congrats for coming to the Mexico concerts! I will be there too, as a Monterrey native, if you need some guide who speaks both languages, feel free to send me a message to make your trip more comfortable, hope to see you there!
Awesome thank you!
You know they'll get there eventually, Ash. There are still too many "more popular" groups out there, and we all know these award shows are basically popularity contests. Give it time. ⚡🤘⚡
Truth 🤘🏽
Neat reaction. Wierd about the truncated version of Qué Más Quieres. Shame they didn't win, but you are right, it is awesome that The Warning got nominated. That is huge. That said I am still sad they didn't win, if only because seeing a rock band accepting an award with their mother as a co-writer would have been really cool.
And about your holiday to Mexico: yay!! And seeing The Warning, in Mexico, at the biggest venue they've headline at to date:YAY!!!!!!!!!
That would’ve been amazing to see!
Congrats on the tix for the CDMX show. That's awesome. What and adventure for you and your family!
Thanks so much! I can’t wait!
Thank you!!!!
Juanes is a huge star in Latin America
Awww I’m sure you’ll get there one day!!!! And thank you 🥹
Hey, Ashlena! So happy you're making it to CDMX concert!! I'll be there as well, it'd be nice to say hello in person :)
100%!!
