The fact that this Optimus is one of the few that actually doesnt rely on his waist joint to transform the legs is quite refreshing. I've been wanting an Optimus that I can transform and just imagine like he's literally just standing up while transforming, not doing some breakdancing just to get on his feet

As a stop motion animator I think cheating the transformation is quite annoying sometimes so this helps if I had it

This guy gets it; I for one very much prefer Transformers toys that face the same direction when turning from vehicle to robot and robot to vehicle!

This is hands down one of the best Primes we've ever gotten. Its so cool and the transformation is just *chefs kiss*
This figure clearly could rival the Earthrise mold, that is the best mainline OP not based upon the movies, just G1, so he got a rival, thou it might stand as one of the top six OP figures for me, the others being:
Earthrise
Classics
SS WFC
Legacy Armada
Prime First Edition OP
The Legacy G2 failed to make the top 6 for me because of those shoulders, it really lets the figure down
This was the Optimus Prime design I would have wanted in Thrilling 30.

This is a huge surprise. I was so worried that he was gonna be small compared to the other Optimus Prime figures from this year. But wow, he's probably the best Optimus Prime from this year. He even made Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime look small. And wow, the thrusters come out perfectly in both modes. I wonder if he's gonna have a double jump effect in the game. I honestly don't even mind that the axe isn't gonna be hand held. He's definitely a Prime I'll want to get one day.
Double jump effect is a must with thrusters like those! I can’t wait to see the gameplay 🤩

The fact that all optimus toys ever always has one key transformation were his arms,body,and head turn to the cab and leg turn to the back is actually cool

Outside of Siege/Earthrise Optimus, this looks like one of the best Prime figures to come along since the old school Classics version from '06.
The scene in G1 movie when Optimus rolls towards Megatron and just runs over decepticons. Now that bumper makes completly sense to me.

I'll be honest, THIS was the Optimus I wanted in Rotb. It feels like it could be a upgrade to bbm Optimus but it's also in it's own unique style.

It's a small detail, but I really like how this Optimus doesn't rotate at the waist for transformation. Dunno how to describe it, I just think it's a neat touch.

The silver paint takes the figure to the next level. Adds dimension to his poses. Good vid.
I really hope he’s also voiced by Peter Cullen in the game, but the figure is still amazing, definitely a purchase for me!

What's interesting is that whoever is doing the designs of this new wave seems to be taking huge hints from 3rd party toy designers/creators - and it shows. It's surprising to me because normally Hasbro would rather cut corners and oversimplify the transformations than making something this detailed for a semi-mass produced toy these last few years. This brings me back to the days of Revenge of the Fallen wave of figures that pretty much became instant collectibles for how very detailed the transformations were.
Edit: I think you forgot to tab in his ab piece - which was why you couldn't get the front wheels to roll well. I can clearly see the tabs and the slots they should go into at timestamp 13:49 of this video.

X2, Deffinitely. I was going for other primes first, but I just cant miss out on this one, main prime material for my collection
The cavity in the truck cab might be able to fit a small scale person inside. Soundwave’s SUV also had some weird seat-looking thing on the roof, so I’m hoping that the reactivate line could have human figures that could pair with the Autobots and Decepticons.
Some modernized Minicons or something similar would make me very happy. I can’t imagine they’d come out with human figures for Reactivate since, if I’m not mistaken, the game is set on Cybertron.

I think think might be the best Voyager OP since like, the 06 Classics mold wow, I'm especially pleased to see it actually has some mass on it, he's a proper big lad! That comparison with WFC Gamer Prime is just sad, lol. I hope it gets ALL the repaints, probably won't because video game tie-in but a boy can dream
It's amazing how many Optimus Primes we're getting. I got in the hobby during generations/combiner wars era, and just for years we did not get any Optimus Primes that actually looked like a proper Optimus.
This year has been crazy good for Prime!
This has to be the best Voyager Optimus prime of the year! Seems the team that worked on this figure are not the same from the Studio series because wow what a difference.

Idk about that soundwave but this optimus makes those 62 dollars completely worth it. 3 accesories, great transformations PERFECT size and proportion. until i get my KO for the SS ROTB optimus this will satisfy my need for an optimus

This Optimus would definitely rock the Shattered Glass paint job perfectly. His shape fits that version. Besides that, this Optimus will definitely be perfect next to my MDLX Megatron.
With how good the size, paint, and articulation is on this guy and the other figures, I was honestly kinda worried thst the plastic quality would've been given the short end of the stick budget-wise, but hearing that it's actually good plastic me so happy, and even more glad that I preordered him and Soundwave!
If I had to be nitpicky I'd say, as always, I worry about the clear plastic of the chest windows, otherwise? This looks like the best Prime we've seen in AGES!

Just picked up this Optimus myself. He's real solid and I love how the engineering hides the feet in vehicle mode compared to just about every other Optimus mold.

Other than those gray side panels, HOT DAMN Reactivate is getting me excited. Finally, a proper Transformers game. It’s been so long.
PrimevsPrime you're gonna make me bankrupt by making all these new figures look so much more exciting than they're shown. The better you make a figure look the more I feel the need to add it to my collection. And this prime looking how he does, he's going to be a fine addition indeed. All that compacted engineering, you not needing to rotate his waist for the legs is so refreshing to see on a Prime figure. The fact he includes not only his iconic Ion cannon, but an axe looking that good and the matrix itself, that's one thing I'm upset the ROTB prime didn't include as I was easily able to forgive the smaller gun accessory due to how big it would have needed to be to wrap around his arm. The articulation looks so clean nothing looks unnatural. The G1 styled colour scheme works so well for prime in any continuity. Once again making your reviews so much more entertaining with the opening shots 💯💯💯

While the game doesn't excite me quite as much given the long wait this Prime in itself looks well worth the price of the two pack. A lot of this reminds me of the siege mold which already was pretty good, but this is different enough aesthetically to add to the collection. Huge points for the improved shoulders, unique transformation, and super clean truck mode. This is the first time I think since the Lego release the hands aren't hidden in the forearms but are similarly hidden behind the front panels. Soundwave also looking good and nice to finally see a proper size comparison between these two.
The transformation looks like it takes some of the good ideas from the Classics 06, Siege and Earthrise not that it's a bad thing they're all fantastic Prime's.

This looks like a nice and solid and good-looking Optimus figure. Trouble is as you mentioned, he doesn't really have much going on that's new or unique feeling at all. Also can I just say how far your photography and posing skills have come! Your opening galleries always look great dude!
