I think The Ordinary Parent’s Guide to Teaching Reading is one of the most underrated phonics/reading curriculums out there. We love it! I love the simplicity and optional activities if needed. We buy a variety of decodable readers for extra practice. We have moved much faster than I expected. My oldest should be finished with it by the end of 1st grade. My 4 year old is on lesson 75. They enjoy it too! And usually ask to do more than one lesson. Though sometimes we split out a lesson over 2-3 days. Depends on what is taught. We like having the separate student book. They like to hold it the whole lesson. We also watch AlphaPhonics to supplement. It helps clarify some of the early blends, digraphs, etc.
Thank you for the flip through. I think this will work really well for my son. I have been looking for something simple and not too expensive. ❤
I’m glad it was helpful!

That was super helpful. Thanks. This may work for us too!
