That song captures everything on what it feels like growing up gay. The violent and emotional abuse with the struggle for acceptance.

My son is 18 years old. When he was 16 he told me he is gay. It dont matter for me, I am asexuell and one of his cousions are transsexual. When I hear this song I cry every time. It shows my fear also. Im afraid of all homophobic people. Afraid of if the hurt him, physically or emotionally.
He has just told his friends, and he has great friends. But he has not told his father (we is not together) or sister yet. He want to wait untill he move away to college. He is afraid of his fathers reaction and all the questions. His father is not homophobic, but my son is thinking that his father maby feel otherwise when its his own son. ❤❤❤

I got the same reaction from my so called Friends I came Out Gay in 7th Grade 1990 at school only I had a few friends in school Mainly Girls and my Drama Class Friends of course :-)
. and my family (come out to family 2012). I was so lUcky i got this reaction from my family. So many of my other Gay friends got the opposite reaction
