Yes sir. This is great. I like the Chalupa style dogs too. I did a simple version that uploaded recently. Please look it over, make it something bigger-n-better if you choose. I'm always open to new ideas! There should be no limits on the griddle, or pit! Always share your ideas, everyone has the power of bigger, and maybe better to share! What region is your inspiration folks?
I'd like to add a note please. These are some of the greatest dogs I've had in my 54yrs. The whole concept of the cook takes it to a level that didn't exist when I was a child in the 70's-80's. So many family reunions with overcooked meats, drunk Uncles, and our Aunties side dishes. We are the break-through gen that makes it all above, and beyond the old school backyard cook-out now. Love you brother, much respect. I was recently near your area working on my automated production machine at Marsh Furniture. Really wish we could've met, it would've made my year!
Love the video, especially when you said Cheerwine, I grew up in Georgia and loved me some Cheerwine, now I live in PA and it's hard to find at times, sometimes Sheetz has them and sometimes they don't, but still love em.
Sent to fast , I used to know a southern guy where I worked in the 1970s who would not eat a hot dog unless it had MAYO only on it he said it was a southern thing. Did you ever hear of it ? You should do some old southern recipes like in the old days 1920, 1930s THANK YOU FRANK FROM MONTANA......
Mayo on dogs has always been popular with Hispanics, I always thought it was a bit strange. I saw this dish on another cooking channel, with mayo as well, and tried it out. Made it with Dukes of course and now I can see how a mayo can work on a dog. Would also like to see some old southern recipes from the depression era, that was my Memaws time and she made some great food, unfortunately I was way too young to know what she was cooking up. For some reason the smell of pork lard takes me back though. Cheers.
I'm from CA & SD originally. (Military brat) Grew up eating my fair share of dawgs. I have always dressed mine with Duke's & French's & Dill relish & sweet onion! Mmm so good! Duke's is good food lube! Love it! Your dawgs look amazing! Can't wait to try! Have a happy day & thanks for the video!
Those grilled cheese dogs look very delicious Hussey. Definitely need to make some. Yes we should see the guy behind the camera. Non bacon eater. Have an awesome day Hussey.
Dude! Hush your mouth and the Andersons have the best neighbor ever. I’ve been super busy not able to comment but I’m always watchin ya buddy!! You Rocked those dawgs!
Hidden gem - Publix has smoke gruyere, it's like a French cheddar and it is AMAZE-BALLZ!!!!! I been using it for my country chip steak sammies and also my jalapeno poppers.
Any amount of rice,,,cover with 1" water, bring to boil, reduce to simmer and cover with tight lid, cook for 15 minutes, turn off heat, let stand 5 minutes, fluff rice with fork and serve with ,,,
Not many responded to "How do you like your hot dog?" Looks like there are 8 levels with pictures. Mine are like between 6-7. Sometimes I'll end up with the Full on char. I'll eat it anyway. I cook mine in a cast iron skillet. It's funny that they seem to turn themselves over as they cook. All I have to do is traffic management. Making sure they have room to roll on there own.
When I saw your video pop up I said to myself, that's the rub dude. I was thinking how much rub would he put on the hotdogs and how that would taste. I was disappointed in two thing. As I was born, reared and still live in central part of SC and even though Ducks mayo is made in my state, I would have to get that crap out of my house and used what most chef's do, Hellmann's. And not seeing a pound or so of rub on the meat was just heartbreaking. How about the next time you do the hot dogs, have Malcombe over and get out the rub. Still enjoyed the video.
Hotdogs with mayo , sauerkraut , chile , cheese, mustard , ketchup , even slaw , nice to see that someone is doing these like i grew up on in ,60s and 70s
Bro I appreciate you cooking in the heat. We had a huge party for the motorcycle club and it was 114 and I was bartender. It sucked. Probably 120 plus in the metal building. Sacramento heat sucks. Missouri sucks with the humidity too. I feel for you bro. The Carolines are hot and humid. If I lived there I'm not cooking shit lol
Matt, I saw you scoring those hotdogs and I went OMG you need to get out in the world more often! You need to buy one of these things I’ve had this for about seven years now and let me tell you! Get one of these SLOTDOG, hot dog scorer
Dang dude!!!!😋😋😋. What you can also do..is.. when you’re grilling the weiners, put down piles of cheese and spread them to length of buns, and grill the cheese like you’re making cheese skirts. Then when assembling weiners, just flip the cheese skirts on top of weiners. Less messy and more crispy. And also check Maggie’s (think that’s your furbaby name) mouth. She might have something stuck in back of her throat. Just saying. Love your videos.
That's just the breed ADHD with food. Hot honey mustard. I did a Publix chicken tender a hot honey sub but had them toss it with honey mustard in the Honey mustard order it as it comes with banana peppers and it was money
Hey, boss- Just found you neighbor, love what your doing! (Winston-Salem here) Two questions- 1) Where can I get your temperature magnet, and 2) what kind of thermometer are you using to check the griddle?
So here I was about to order the magnet then find out that delivery cost was almost as much as the magnet. Thats nuts. Sorry not going to pay a delivery fee that is same price as magnet making the magnet be double the price.
I get he's broadening some people's culinary world but the original video from where he got this recipe from is much better. This video shows too much cheese in the bun before the dog causing the dogs to be exposed and more cheese added and a return to dog side down for more cooking. Add whatever condiment you want on the bun but hot mayo?! Spicy honey mustard for dipping is all you need. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Duke's or whatever you put on it is your choice -- I get it so save your breath.
😂 I like how you gave us a whole dissertation and then goes on to say “save your breath “. Bless it. I put my spin on it. Might not be what you like personally, but you can choose to not add mayo or all the cheese.
8:50 FLIPPED TOO SOON!! THE CHEESE HAS LITTLE CRUST!! Oh..... You said the burners were off. That explains why there is no fried cheese. Just a tasty MESS of melted cheese.
Yeah I'm looking like that but then I put my chili on it so it's a grilled chili cheese dog but don't what your dog two CN smell them cuz once he has one of those he ain't going to eat just a bun but what the h a y you'll have a food grubbin buddy
I would have wrapped the hotdog in bacon and jalapenos then add cheese on the hotdogs after they're grilled, but these look good too! FYI.... Heart disease is still the 1# killer of Americans!
What's your thoughts, this something you'd like?

Your hot dog will not absorb fat due to being scored. The only thing scoring does is widen the dog and lose the juice from the dog.

Yum. Grandsons are going to love these. Cheese, just like money. You can’t have too much. Thanks Matt. God bless.
Awesome! Glad you liked it!

Gotta have mayo on it for sure brother!!! I love mayo on my dogs. Great idea too!

@@joannagroce4719I use a locally made jalapeño bread and butter relish, a horseradish mustard and hellmans. Can’t stand dukes.

Looks/sounds amazing !
Any amount of rice,,,cover with 1" water, bring to boil, reduce to simmer and cover with tight lid, cook for 15 minutes, turn off heat, let stand 5 minutes, fluff rice with fork and serve with ,,,
That sounds delicious but I don't know what that has to do with hot dogs! haha
Since I'm allergic to mustard this would go really good without your sauce being made but topping it with some chili instead of your sauce
Bludwine !! My families drink ! Got bought out by Anheiser Bush, it was a great soda drink.

You keep your griddle so ready mine always dries and rusts over not sure why guess because i keep it in garage uncovered any tips
Treat it like a firearm. Clean, dry, and oil well. Just need to make sure it’s dry and oiled well
Nice. Another great idea for the griddle
You get better the longer on.
What is heifer dust?

5-6 perfect done. About the only upgrade I can think of is bacon bits in with the cheese.
And sooooo healthy!
Just made them here in maine. Red snapper hot dogs. Awesome recipe.
Dang Hussy you done it again and made some good groceries there.
I have never seen, nor have I tried red weenies. But dang Baby Girl…. That grilled cheese looked awesome.🎉

I like my hotdogs about the same doneness & color of thick cut smoked & fried bologna. For sandwiches. Mmm, Mmm, GOOD!
Getting toasty for sure. You need to do a poll
😮 THE SCORING STOPS THE DOG FROM CURLING UP !! 😮😮
Just YUM!!!!!!
They all look pretty tasty. My Cardiologist might have something to say if I made and ate these! lol
Looks awesome bro…. That would’ve been awesome at a NCBB.
Add summa dat juice from the Jalapeños to give that sauce some kick.
Holy Hell! Making this for the kids, I’ll be back to let you know their reaction!
Please do!!!
Nice 👍
Thanks so much!!!
Huss daddy!!
Fun video! You need a big fan blowing on you to keep you cool!!
Thanks buddy! We now have one, but it's not enough.
I.
Could just imagine how it would be with a Georgia.Hot hot dog that would be wild
Sounds delicious!
Gently toasty off the griddle, golden and char twist from the camp fire.

I think it would be better if you used a hoggie roll, french bread??, from Arthur ave. In the Bronx
Slightly charred for Rick
He's hotdog is so good
Maggy said give her dogs to go with buns
She'd be happy with that for sure.
Have you tried the jalapeño hot dogs? Yummy! ❤️🧡💙🩷💚🦋🦋🦋
Add some sauerkraut. Even better!
Yum!
