Thank you Jen! I definitely have to look into creating a series for each part of the relationship house and how to ensure you are working towards keeping the in top form!
Any tips on how you use the DWC intervention with couples? Do you find it easy to identify the problem they are having in order to start the DWC? What do you generally see after completing the DWC intervention and how long does it take for you? Fellow therapist here. :-)
Hi Christian - so sorry I didnt see there had been a comment! Its relatively easy to find the topics for DWC - they tend to be those enduring gridlocks that couples have not been able to resolve. When we sit down and go through the process - asking the questions provided in the sheet - they get to a deeper understanding of what is behind the gridlock and then once that has happened they are more willing to look at what they can do on their side to meet their partner's most important needs as well as their own. The art of compromise - which is the Part 2 of this process if where they figure that out. Hope that helps.
Really appreciate how you explained this! Would love the whole series!
