I took in a bunch of scrap the other week i emptied out my barn and the whole yard cleaned up. Scrap is high in my area I got $642 . Nothing like Wednesday and being off work come home from visiting my dad who just had a heart attack then watching cog hill . That my dear is a good day my dads home from hospital doing amazing and watching cog hill
Your family works together like a well oiled machine! So systematic with the farm chores, it never gets old to watch it! So nice to see Mary Carl today. That old barn was a treasure trove! You could possibly make some outdoor furniture or SOMETHING out of the PVC pipe. Hate to see anything go to waste. I was going to guess $100 on the scrap metal, but didn’t get it recorded soon enough. Can’t begin to imagine all that has to be done at the Cog 40. But, y’all manage to take it all in stride and just do whatever comes next. You’re a joy to watch. God’s blessings for your family! Love that little barn owl! 😻
I swear, that Jason is so funny, he always makes me laugh. When he said to Tucker that he got his sleep number bed I about rolled off my chair laughing. Y'all keep up the good work. You're a wonderful family and I love watching you.
Brooke is very good at pre-planning for various situations!! And then Jason does not have a melt down (like many males out there) at her great suggestions, but you two then work together to accomplish the new task!! I love seeing that practiced in real life!! Thank you and Blessings!!

Too funny! At 11:05 it looks like Scott is pulling the truck! With wood being so valuable, I would use that old door as a countertop for a garden wash station. Remove the glass area and make the space fit that old double sink. Also, the old windows would be perfect for a cold frame, if you would ever need one.
Love your wise, feathered barn guardian and all the recycling, repurposing & reusing the treasures from the barn!!! That vintage door would make a great pantry door & a lovely homage to the origins of the Cog Hill 40! God bless y'all!!!
You guys can buy one of those plants hanging baskets with the fern all in it and big rounded for Dr. Who to lay in , just hang it where he stays at . Maybe he'll stay there at home . Just saying . Maybe he'll love it too who's knows

Once you have cleaned it out,I would lay Concrete. It would then make a good place to store the tractor and other Farm equipment. You can also build a nice Hayloft to store the Hay for the Animals.

Love it! I guessed a bit closer to your scrap metal total. Ha ha… I think the idea of opening back up the barn with the side ‘flaps’ is a great idea. Fresh air, cross ventilation…great for keeping any fuel fumes from gathering. And still safe for your owl.

Had an idea based on the last podcast I listened to where you mentioned how it was too late and Mary Carl is tired but that she has things to talk about. Maybe once a month do a half hour Mornings with Mary Carl. Podcast where it’s her mostly and whatever cool things she wants to share. You could record it first thing in the. Morning before everyone is hot and tired and she could do her thing!?
Or tape her podcast and have a girl chicken chat with her and Brook and post as a bonus podcast in the week. As smart as Mary Carl is it won't be no time before she's doing one on chickens and editing it and running it.
I have that same cart. Ended up getting a second one, so I have the large & small versions. Use them daily. The PVC is great for running cable or wire through, that I need to bury

Since it's already concrete, maybe put metal lattice over the drains so they can still be used, but strong enough for vehicles.
