  • same as the valve cover removal tutorials, other videos are JUNK. You do not need to remove battery, battery tray, computer module, or anything else.
    to get the fill cap off you need
    - magnetic t55 socket (or a retractable magnet so you don't loose the fill cap/bolt)
    - 2 foot extension (or 2 feet of extensions combined)
    - socket swivel
    - socket wrench
    easy
    other videos are good when it comes to draining the fluid, but that isn't rocket science.

    BUT HOW DO I FRIGGIN CHECK THE AT FLUID LEVEL??? None of these "check the fluids on Fiat 500" include checking the AT fluid level.

      Sorry I didn’t reply!! Ok so you need this goofy looking metal “dipstick” thing. Here’s the part number and title for an eBay listing similar to what I had bought. With the cover off you can reach down by hand and put this in. The handle or larger end of the dipstick just sits flat on the opening. Online you can find the level of AT fluid you need to be at for the fiat 500. I forgot what the amount was. But the tool is like $20-$30.

    Appreciate the tips! You need to work on some more cars, lol. These same procedures can be SO MUCH WORSE on several other platforms of vehicles.

    Im doing fiat maintenance and finding that so many things are like that for this car. 9 times out of ten you just need a long extension kit and magnetic bits

      Yea man. And tbh these are super easy cars to work on. I only owned this one for a month before I flipped it. But tbh I'd buy another one in a heartbeat

    How do you put the transmission fluid from that high up?

    • @6yap2
      @6yap2  4 месяца назад

      I used a funnel and a couple feet of fuel line. Put one end of fhe fuel line in the transmission fill hole and the other on the end of the funnel up top. Then filled. Not the fastest but works

    What type of transmission fluid does a Fiat 500L take?????????????

    • @6yap2
      @6yap2  4 месяца назад

      Only OEM. I got mine from Fiat directly. Others have used various other fluids however after a couple hours with no consistency in what kind to get other than from a dealership I just went to the closest Fiat. I have a bottle and a half extra if you need it. It's enough to refill the transmission and have some left over.

    Can you make a video of TCM replacement

    • @6yap2
      @6yap2  8 месяцев назад

      I would but I sold the car like a week after posting this a few months ago. Bought it from a buddy for $500 who said it was clapped (it wasn't). Cleaned it, fixed it, and sold for $2k + a 2000 Honda shadow 1100 with low miles running and driving. These cares are worth a bit and if you're is 12 years old or newer and under 130k put it on Turo. It's a great great rental car

    No filter?

    • @6yap2
      @6yap2  19 дней назад +1

      Hey! Sorry for the late reply. I didn’t change the filter no. I don’t think there was one either. It’s a “closed transmission” meaning you aren’t supposed to actually change the fluid. I think it’s “life of the vehicle”. There might be a filter but I did not change it
