I also liked the character development, not only for the main character, but the head engineer for the planes, he wants the main character to live in the end after the island incident

The theme throughout Minus One really stuck with me in the context of the setting. Shikishima as a character had a great portrayal of the guilt and shame he felt. Godzilla being that manifestation and tool for Shikishima's 'redemption' was awesome. However, I agree that the ending with Godzilla being this unceasing force after his apparent death was a double-edged sword for the audience both die-hard fans and casual movie-goers. Great review! Love to see more Max Forrest content.

The way I see it Godzilla is supposed to be a force of nature. And he represents the irreversible consequences on the planet as a result of human influence.
The regenerating didn't bother me; the same way the planet is unkillable so too is Godzilla.

The thumbnail for this video makes it look like Paul has his shirt open and showing his chest hair off.

I wanted to like minus one so badly; but that ending just killed it for me.
Schmultz for its own sake just kills the sentiment and the purpose of the sacrifice for me.

I thought the ending was good. I felt like the title clicked and made sense, that Godzilla somehow has a certain amount of lives and we're 1 down. I don't know much about Godzilla so maybe that's not a thing thats fitting for the lore but it made sense to me.

Having the girl live at the end honestly felt more cheap to me. But I liked the happier, hopeful ending, so it wasn't a deal breaker or anything.

What happened to you and Jack? Sorry for asking I'm sure it's a question asked all the time but I would love to know.
