i remember practising this piece in elementary school for a band competition. we practiced till we could play it by heart. There was once when we were rehearsing, a blackout occurred, it became pitch black but we continued playing without even seeing the conductor!
Each time I hear tis, will always bring back my memory to 22yrs back when I was still in a secondary sch band.. That's the marvelous time of my sch days.. Music make me alive! Oh and I played this beautiful piece on SYF Band Competition 1997 or 1998 and we score a Silver Medal for the competition..

If I had to guess, I would say this definitely the Washington Winds and not TKWO. WW sounds good (believe me, I only wish my group sounded as clean most days) but you can tell a difference in the two ensembles if you listen to them often enough. Of course, my ears are by no means perfect.

It is the Washington Winds. You can tell by the wide vibrato in the flutes. Haha. TKWO would have definitely interpreted this piece differently.
