Rich…..your face is a real picture when you’re about to try the local “delicacies”. It reminds me of the Mona Lisa! Another great episode today! Some great roads and lovely scenery….especially towards the rear of the coffee shop! It looked like rice paddy fields? Keep up the good work! Really enjoying sharing your travels! Lovely to see a part of the World I’ve not been to! Especially nice to see that people with relatively little can be so happy and genuinely glad to meet foreigners! Perhaps it’s something we in the U.K. could learn from! ❤️❤️
Theres so much in terms of attitude and indeed healthy living we could learn from in the uk, The Thais are amazing happy people.... Perhaps in return we can show them Cottage pie or Sunday roast?
@@ontheroadadventureThink about it this way. You grew up eating your food and became accustomed to the flavours you like…same Thai people. Some like western food but most would find it all very bland.
Rich your face is so funny when Ewa talking about the food and when it arrives on the table, love the drone back up and running. The roads put our roads to shame in the U.K., omg I would of freaked at that snake alive or dead.
Some days we are so hungry at the end of a ride or long day, those are the days you can be sure to find very little for food options, always a challenge. We Do miss our Tent and Trangia some days! Camping Season will be back soon!
Hi guys, another cracking vlog. Loving the "shit on a stick" food quote! The roads getting very interesting too and Scooters are bikes! Keep it up.....Andy & Lyn.
Great video guys, Eva looking beautiful 🤩 I’m proud of you Rich for taking a pun at the not so exciting looking grub, & Eva always goes for it 😅I’m amazed those scooters are still going strong, just proves what you said Rich, looking forward to the next journey sleep well guys, night 💤
Hi Rich & Ewa, Wow, great episode! - through the twisties with the odd moment in the corners, classic, reminds me of long ago days on my Lambretta in the late 60's. Rich, your eating is getting more adventurous, you'll be down the Thai take away in Exeter when you return........if you return, this adventure is a brilliant advert for Thailand for those of us who've never been. Keep going guys, doing what you do - take care & ride safe. SteveD (Isle of Wight)
Guys, great video as always. Let me give you some options Small bikes and Big bikes Mopeds, Scooters, Bikes and Big Bikes Bikes and Big Bikes. (This last one is my favorite). Each to there own but I like to start at 7 and ride until lunch. It is much cooler in the morning and there is less traffic. Also, if something goes wrong, you are not left struggling in the dark. My go to position, with the food is, if in doubt ask for chicken fried rice. (Cow Pat Guy. That is my bad phonetic spelling) Finally, as I may have mentioned, motor camping on an old Vespa around the world is still my old man’s dream. If I was half my age with much better health, I would not be here writing this. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, we too prefer the Big bikes, We miss our Adventure bikes and will be back on them soon. WE love moto camping and touring in that way, we will be back off on our of our epic camping tours soon we hope... Did you follow our tours in Spain and Portugal for example?
@@ontheroadadventure I hope that it is okay to mention this but you may find a Thai youtube channel interesting... La Vang Tang. He is the nicest guy and he has some great motor camping adventures. I hope it's okay to mention "the competition"
The small towns you ride through remind me of Clacton on sea Essex, Rich, you might get lucky and find a fish and chip shop. still loving the videos. Many thanks.
Another great ride. That is the only disadvantage to the scooter is the range on a tank full of gas. I like my CBR, 'cause we can go from Chiang Mai up to Mae Sai (Burma Border) & still have a 1/4 tank left. If you are getting low on fuel, even the smallest village will have little stores that have bottles of gas for sale out in front. Yes, the scenery & roads will just keep on getting better. Thailand, no place like it.
We assumed they will have good range because they use so little fuel but the tanks must be small too. No drama though, four hours on these and we are done for the day anyway
Say guys, did you know that the Thai kitchen also can provide you with Vegetarian food, I mean most Asian countries have a lot of Veggie food to begin with, and usually meat can be added later on, or fish if you desire that. So if you do not want to take a risk of getting sick due to odd meat, or unwell cooked meat or meat your stomach can't handle; like bat-meat you usually can ask for the Veggie option. The food is usually so tastefully that you wouldn't even miss the meat, since meat on itself barely has got any taste...
Another great video. In the nine times that I’ve been to Thailand, me and my wife only got food poisoning once, which was from a restaurant. We think it was the fried fish as we both had. My daughter was fine as she didn’t have any. Eaten loads of street food without any issues.
So nice those coffee bars in the middle of nowhere, The view was amazing. Hahaha Ewa I think he can be a happy man in Thailand opening his own restaurant and shop 😊 But Rich I am also proud of you eating the local food, can imagine it's hard when you're so used to European regulations it's scary. See you on the next one
Another great video. Have a look at the Honda CT125, they are the true adventure bikes in Thailand. You don’t need a petrol station as lots of small shops sell petrol in bottles by the litre, ask for “nam man” and they will either have it or point you in the right direction. If you think the food might be spicy ask for “Mai Pet” which means not spicy. Normally a Thai farm worker will earn between 300 to 400 baht a day.
Great video as always! I think Eva had it near Bangkok, but must try the Khao Soi Gai (Chicken much better than beef - best if you get with whole chicken legs-) in Chiang Mai. Very famous Northern Thailand dish and one of my, and many others favorites.
Egg noodles on your food lovely dish not spicy very popular in the North, buy yourself some goodies for the ride round the loop gets a little sparce for shops.

The green curries and Massaman curries (South Thailand) are amazing, although the green curry can be spicy. They cone in pork, chicken and sometimes beef. In those rural areas, keep an eye out for petro at small stores. They will sell it in liter soda, beer or oil (clear bottles) for quick use...when no fuel starions are near.
If only it were that easy. We think that the local dialects mean that the translate isnt very accurate, its often not understood. it will get you through basic situations though
I love watching your channel you are both great. I have a wife and a house in Thailand, but sadly I'm unable to live there at the moment. My passion is motorbikes. But I just can't get on with riding a scooter, they feel so unsafe. I admire your determination to ride whatever you can to get where ever you want to go. Power to you both. Enjoy 😊
Hope you can get to be with your wife soon. Yes the Scooters feel lethal, its the small wheels that are the real issue for stability. Try something like Honda wave or CT125 with the bigger wheels

I have a bunch of bikes at my house in Khon Kaen, but recently sold my CBR650R, it was horrible and too peaky on the Thai roads. Im a bit ruined as in Scotland i have 1290 Superduke GT & Tuono V4 1100 Factory
Think before end of this year for here in Thailand i will buy a Honda Forza 350 or Yamaha S Max for kicking around Thailand on
I have the Honda PCX 160 but find it a bit soft as well as Mrs having smaller stuff like you are on now
If you make it to Khon Kaen give me a shout, happy to show u village life 😊
I think the Honda forza is a perfect middle ground for here, a good mix of power and comfort. I bet it’s cold in Scotland right now! Do you ride all year there?
that 1100 honda will be to big and heavy for the small tracks
Yes and too expensive to actually enjoy without worry. Theres allot to be said for simple cheap bikes
I don’t blame Rich, there is nothing worse than bad food poisoning.
Yes it seems i had good reason to be suspicious of it as youll see soon...
benzine krab,,, kow ha krab petrol please, 95 octane
ja pai nai,, where you going.
tip, you may want to do an oil change as your doing high miles, its cheap, about 120 baht to do, good to check the bikes.
Keep up the fun
THanks, we will find a local garage and do the oil soon
That snakes a deadly one, he probably taking numbers of tourist to see how many him and his mates can bite, his name was hissing sid ye 👋🤠👍
A Green Mamba!
On a note in Denmark you allways take your shoes of when entering a privat home - it is just considered normal courtesy ❤
Keep up the good work of trying new dishes 🤣🥰
Sounds like Its more common than not... How is Denmark for riding and biking Culture? We havent been yet but plan to put that right
@@ontheroadadventure
Wide beaches you can drive on - beautiful nature hills, lakes and mores - TET tracks ,but you can make your own if you wish
Lovely curvy small road .
Free camping areas and shelters that make the trip a bit more affordable. ❤
And yes we have French hot dogs, hotdogs - grill foods, cakes, ice cream and seafood 😂
So - a Treat is waiting for you in Denmark 🌞💕
That sounds amazing! What’s the best months to visit of course we would do it when going to Norway…
We have about the same weather as England 🌞☔🌞
May to September - so it would fit nicely with Norway trip ❤
Isn’t it handy to take a liter bottle of fuel with you as a reserve ?
So far its not been a problem, i think we would find it even in the smallest village if we really need it
Khao Soi love it 😋. A little bit like Laksa.
Really not bad grub at all
(30:24) your pound, gets more than my dollar, over there. EU 1-45.78 US 1-35.47, so, vacationing, makes more cents, also in Brazil, my dollar, is about the same.
Very cheap living for us here compared to the uk
Quit 7/11 do more local food. It’s great 👍
We are doing both now lol
I'm I only one to notice Ewas' eyelashes :) !
the thing is about the shoes sometime may be cleaning that's a little thing the local worry about there spiritual thing in there place and I understand how hard to take off and put them back, so I know you can deal with this by your way, have fun in THAILAND guys.
Thanks so much, yes we respect this by staying outside unless we have easy shoes to take off like our crocs when off the bike.
That snake was definitely alive 😊😊
Yes Google identify thing thinks its a green mamba?!
Did you know that Triumph Plymouth and Hartley Davidson Plymouth have closed their doors?... 😮
Yes, and Yamaha in Exeter, all part of the Marsh Group. A Real shame, we will miss them in Devon
You should try thousand year eggs 😂
I would love to see his face if he had a fermented egg, "dont go there"
Cant say i fancy that
Yuk!!
The thai girls cover up as they dont want to tan and the rest probably cant afford sun cream and or covering up is better ... great commentary as usual
Yes its funny how darker skin people all want to be lighter and us lighter people al want a tan... Its human behaviour to want what we cant have...
Spot on the Thais want the white skin and some bigger boobies,😉
You get great thaifood when you quit 7/11. Eat and enjoy 👍
Always a gamble here
You'll be lucky Ewa if you think Rich will become a happy man by being in Thailand?
He loves it really, a Englishman is happy when unhappy lol
basic wage 300 baht a day for a farm or factory worker.
That must be a struggle for them. no wonder they are all so grateful for tips etc. We almost always pay more for services etc here, its the right thing to do
It’s subsistence living. What can help is that Thais live collectively- together. So a little combined with a little can go a longer way.
factory workers in thailand earn £6 per day on average
Thats got to be a hard existence even here id say
Absolutely, puts prices in perspective aswell
That soup is excellent and don’t worry about dirty hands 👍
Hmmmmm, some things are best left unseen!
When looking for food if you don't understand what it is ask them using your Google translator 😊
Yeah we do that
You only bought that Harley Davidson water to torment me didn't you 😂😂
We did think of you, had to show it on screen!
I think people are realising that the proper adventure bike are max 750cc ......the smaller bikes are fun lighter and do the job better
I think cost has allot to do with it these days too. T7 has been hugely popular for travellers for this reason
@ontheroadadventure agreed but i think the marketing of 1200cc bikes for off road adventure are over ive had a couple and they are heavy when you drop them
Yes, it’s not realistic. What they are selling is the dream of adventure
@@ontheroadadventure im old school, you can have adventure on any bike and you two are proving that, if you had been on your Africa twins, you would not have done half the things youve done on them little twist ang go's Rich is propper bonding with his lol
91 or 95 gasoline doesn’t matter. 91 is little bit cheaper but the scooter won’t care.
Scoots are hardy buggers!
if you get stuck for dinner, ask the host as they can organise a take away, pad thai, or kow pad
I bet they would too
Oodels of noodles,I'd try anything that doesn't look like insect's or is too spicy.
Dont worry, youll never know theres insects in your soup!
Tell you what Rich don't go planning a ride around India mate, if you think that foods bad, Open wide and just shove it in there's always Imodium, Eva is having a field day HaHa
Yeah for me i think India is probably a step too far!
''You don't see that every day'' Lol. Crack of the trip, yeah you do actually, can't believe you ain't seen 'em before, they literally are everywhere 😂
In a Ironic sorta way!
Ask the locals where to eat.
Pretty sure we are eating there, at the side of the road
You guys are putting out the best motorcycle related content on RUclips today, you're on par with itchy boots, different entirely but equally as good. Love ya bye
Thanks so much Tim, We wish we had her numbers! Love you bye!
You shit what you eat m8, so get stuck in. Positive side, you will come back a few pounds lighter 😂😂 Forgot to ask, should the bikes pack up completely, have you got a back up plan? Surprised you didn't give the snake a nudge to see if it was ok? 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂
We fell like we are getting lighter here! Yes plan if the bikes break is push to the next village and hope a man can fix it! worry about that if it happens i guess
Snake was a mamba according to google images
I need subtitles 🤨
There’s a button to click for that on the screen 👍
In many languages now too!
I’d stick to noodles, they catch and cook any poor animal over there😝🤣🤣
Yeah so we have found out!
