Thank you guys. Your production and camera focus is unreal. Im at work and i can legit see myself working this machine even when i got it without a manual. Goddamn you guys are good. Happy sewing you god sent sowed up creatures.
Hi good afternoon. I just started using my brand new 7640 singer machine. Unfortunately I'm having a problem. The needle is getting stocks in. Can you please help me to solve this issue. Thank you very much in advance.
Thank you. 😊 I'm sooo FOB, 🤣🤣Man!!,, I received my MACHINE, I couldn't follow the manual had to tune to RUclips tuts, then I had to open the machine twice, firstly because I pushed the buttonhole lever too hard, secondly I was sewing a wrong fabric so, it got stucked in the feed teeth 🤣🤣🤣Definitely only me. Once again thank you, ur video helped me and keeps helping a lot
I have been looking at videos for several days now regarding the bottom thread on my sewing. I have re-threaded my machine probably 50 times. I've re-threaded the bobbin, tried different materials and I still have the same problem. The bottom thread has just slight loops, not a crazy mess on the bottom, but the seam is not neat looking like the top. Troubleshooting in my manual and this video both refer to the threading of the machine...if that doesn't fix it refer to troubleshooting that also tells you to try re-threading the machine. Please help!
Hi Patti! If it's just "slight loops" it may just be setting your tension to a higher number. If it's set at 4, try 4 1/2. Test, increase small amount and test until you get results you like. Give that a try. Thanks! -TB
Very helpful video, and got me going much quicker than the manual. Having said that, I’m stuck with the lettering. It’s not coming out neatly or as evenly spaced as it does on the video and I can’t work out or find a video that helps. I’d appreciate some help if possible please?

I bought a brand new 7640, could not get it to sew anything beautifully, every stitch was upside down, buttonholes looked like bullet holes, 2 trips to the Singer supplier but not once did the rep explain how to get the bobbin thread to spool correctly, neither did this tutorial. If you go to 10:30 in this tutorial you will see how the thread should spool from the bobbin, at an angle of say 7 o'clock to 11 o'clock. This is vital. When spooling the bobbin once you go round the first spike going from left to right you need to hold the bobbin down with your finger so as to catch the tiniest little spooling guide behind this first turn. I must have viewed 50 online forums discussing the issues with the 7640 stitching upside down and this is what causes it.

My reverse button only engages when I'm in the middle of sewing. I am unable to sew forward, stop, and engage the reverse button. It will just beep at me. Is this a feature or a glitch?
@@SingerSewingCompany Yes. Confidence 7640. I ask because, in the video, whenever she uses the reverse it's in a way that my machine would allow; without stopping. But is there really not a way to begin with a backstitch?
@@bunnanah Hi! It sounds to me as if you are hitting the one step buttonhole lever. Pull the lever toward you and it should sew forward again. If you are putting your hands behind the needle area this can happen. Your hands should stay, for the most part, in front of the needle. Give that a go. Thanks! -TB
@@SingerSewingCompany It sews forward fine. It also sews backwards, but only if I hit the reverse button while my foot is on the pedal and after at least one forward stitch. If I take my foot off, and then push the reverse button to begin a stitch going back, it beeps.

How do you take off the buttonhole foot once you're done? A tutorial please
How do you enlarge the letters ? I can enlarge the stitches ,
Are the letters only able to be in the small size?
The letters will only stich as wide as the opening of the needle plate...which depends on your machine. It could be anywhere from 5-7mm wide.
You didn't draw up the bobbin thread. Is it automatic when you start sewing?
