Ketchup is absolutely normal on a hotdog. It's perhaps more common than mustard because mustard has a very strong taste that people might not like. When I worked at Subway, it always confused me that we didn't carry ketchup. It caused trouble with the customers too. Though we didn't serve hotdogs.
