    This is shaping up to be one of my favorite boxing channels. Have you ever decided to do film study on this channel?

    Love your teaching sir! I’m almost 60yrs old and trying to get into better shape while learning the basics of fighting.
    I totally enjoy how you explain every video! Especially the shorts! Love it if you could add more every day exercises and short videos to show how to stay in shape by focusing on your core and possibly how to excel your core muscles. Obviously core muscles are essential for boxing. If you include stretching exercises too that would be great!
    Much thx.
    Tim B
    By the way what exercises do you recommend to build speed and endurance (skip rope for how long and or many times, side twists, Stallone 2nd floor Russian sit-ups, 2-3 eggs in the morning, running at 4-5 am). These I know are an optimal certainly are the raw eggs as Mr Stallone drank each morning. But if he could get into that shape from Rocky 1-3, then anyone can.
    But I’m curious to hear what you recommend. another video you could do is showing the difference between armature and pro boxing and how to get to both.

    I love the videos coach, I always take more than a few things each video! I was also wondering what shoes you're wearing? does getting the right boxing shoes matter? Do you have any boxing shoe recommendations?

    If I'm right handed but left footed, should I use orthodox or southpaw stance? If I shadowbox, southpaw feels way more natural but when sparring It feels better to adept and use same stance as oponent. I like it better to face oponent square on rather than to stand sideways to eachother, tripping on lead feet and bumping lead jabs.

      Do what feels natural

    • @brandonramirez924
      @brandonramirez924 10 дней назад +1

      To be honest it depends on what kind of game you're trying to play, each stance has its nuances and strategies that can be applied. Personally I switch hit depending on my positioning, usually I will start in orthodox because I'm right handed so I like using the hook to the body and cross combination. But if my opponent is aggressive and I need to stop their combinations or constantly reposition ill fight southpaw so that we both have the same weapons battling for the outside position.
      You can make it simple and say do what feels natural but as you get more advanced you'll understand why you switch. Experiment with both but study the pros and cons of both positions. Always remember though the downside to constantly switching is you'll have to understand your defensive responses for each stance. One of the easiest ways to breakdown someone who switches stances mid session or fight is to rush them offensively to see if they truly understand the position defensively. Hope this helps!

      @ Good advise, makes sense! I also feel that using orthodox becomes somewhat of a defensiv stance for me since I have my strong foot forward. I can quickly step back but I lack proper punch power. When I use southpaw I can use my back foot to push forward much stronger and my right hand jab becomes my strongest weapon.
