Hey Mate, yes you have a nut that will adjust the spring up the shock to set preload, the height is done by screwing the shock and spring down into the hub, undoing the bottom nut and spinning the shaft. if you can its sometimes easier to undo the hub bracket from the hub itself and spin the whole thing.
Rear damping extenders almost look unnecessary? I.e if the hole was just large enough could you get your fingers in to adjust the damper and then plug the hole with a grommet? Or is that wishful thinking?
i tend to agree with you on that. but i think the idea is to cut the smallest hole, we just do whatever the manufacturer wants us to do with install. some now have that adjustment so it can be made from under the car. which makes a lot more sense.
bro. still got some content on my black ute if u want it?. few neat install parts from plazaman, aeroflow, the cooler needs paint, ecu relocation, lower mesh removal, rockercover paint. The turbo and hypertune plenium ill need coateding so we can leave them for now.. if a bike or my hilux sells ill have a psr 5 link rear end to install and some shock works coilovers for the front. then a simple diff build, welding the housing completely, 3.45 over 2.70 gears and a trutrac can do it at yours or my factory in tulla
Hey bro, Thanks for the offer. when it comes to other peoples cars i tend to only do jobs i can get in and out fast due to having a small shop. Plus you seem pretty switched on youd be best to do yourself and save the money? Dead cars just kill me at the moment. hence why i had to take the VL back to storage.
Thank you heaps, appreciate you taking the time to get it done even though you were in pain 👌🏽 hope those ribs heal soon 👍🏻
Most welcome mate, anytime =)
Awesome for a guy with a couple of cracked ribs
Iv always got something to push through haha. thats life
I like your attention to detail 😊
Thanks mate =)
So for the front coilovers it has to buts right? One for pre load and one for the top mount at the end??

How did you solve the clearance on the place where the rear bumper and the arch come together?
That's still my problem point.
Find a solution?
?

Curious, what preload did you set it at in front and back?
How much you charge for guard rolling location?
