I read that as chipship before chopshop for some reason 😅. Clean Vx
i get Chip Shop all the time. everyones always like " oh i didnt know you owned a chip shop " haha
That looks pretty awesome 👍
I think this was last years, im sure it would of been around this year too. was pretty cool!
One of the best channels going around 🤌
Thanks heaps for that mate, greatly appreciate it =)
Way better than an alloytec!
That is very TRUE! haha could not agree more with that.
Not even a 4 hour job, a 17 year old could do it on the front lawn, I know because I done this when I was 17 😂
You did a sump gasket and extractors in 4 hours on the ground? incredible mate, well done!
For an ecotec it doesn’t sound bad.. at least it’s not stock and should sound better driving
It’s hideous
Hey mate I did watch the Tyson and Paul fight… I found it to be the same feeling as that time I poured boiling hot water on my genitalia…. Wasn’t the best idea ever
Have you done LS1 ECU relocation before mate ?
Not personally no, but a few of the boys that work with me have. what did you need to know? or do you need one done? if so hit up warings auto electrical and tell them Remi sent you.
if nothing else they're a bloody useful little rig
So much so mate, i have moved so many things in this. i have a huge cage trailer but i prefer to use this as much as possible as its far easier to move around.
More episodes on it please
Just waiting on some spare coin, i have so much i will be doing on this. But ill get another episode out ASAP =)
I started on a 2k Taco single cab also white! Keep it up!!!❤
Thanks mate, will do
can anyone recommend me a suspension kit that has the same feel as the FE2 kit but still hold the same default height?. i dont want to get bags or coilovers, i just want the same feel with the same ride height
Engine cradle
His on it!
Yea 100% not the service interval notification just oil reset.
Love watching you a video is mate
Thanks mate
The company that was making the spares for VF went out of business. GM were lining up another supplier but I'm not sure that has come online yet. Insurers have to use licensed parts as part of their repair guarantee, not second hand or knock off. Hence the headache.
Right, that makes way more sense to me then and i guess with Holden no longer in production they dont have there own lines these days so it would all be up to third party companies.
@@RCSMediaDivision Yup, somewhat amusingly the company that was punching out the plastic bars etc. was Trident Plastics (Adelaide) - They make wheely bins! Just around the corner from where I live. Not funny that they went into administration - but Im sure there are some nasty jokes regarding the suppliers alternative products ;-)
@@CalinDee Yer right, how wild is that. lots of businesses are going under atm and over the last few years... its not great time to be in business thats for sure. Hopefully they sort that out. i figured its really because of how many get stolen rather then the bumpers but its more then likely a combination of both.
There is no EGR on an L67
There you go... Wondering why this is a different setup then as i though they must of sent the wrong one... as it says its for a L67 on the packing slip.. The fitting that was welded onto it apart from being the wrong angle it was the wrong thread too.
VF II are getting stolen flat out!
😮
Haha na its actually all legit DW
legit just sold my vf wagon sv6 but cheaper for me to upgrade to a ve or earlier ss
Crazy world isnt it
A VY with loose bolts?!?! Never 😂😂😂
I think it actually might have been a factory option hahaha
@RCSMediaDivision You mean they came with a shit diff and loose bolts?!?!!?! You're pulling my leg 😂 I love VYs who am I kidding
@@BigChungus-m2j HAHAHA me too. but still...
The VF has become Australia's most stolen car. They cut the wiring just inside the front gaurd and no more alarm going off. There's videos showing them being stolen in under 5 minutes. People are having to install secondary or relocated horns for alarms, OBD locks, Immobilisers like the ghost or IGLA to try to prevent theft. I looked at buying a 2013 VF clubsport a couple of months ago and insurance company wouldn't touch it if I didnt get a gps tracking system and after market immobiliser installed. Was still going to cost $2800 a year to insure.
This is wild and they wouldnt be the easiest cars to install that sort of thing into either, not like a older car anyway. Who would of thought they would try to make a car safer only to make it so much worse...
I've got my VF redline insured with Shannons and they were about $600-$800 cheaper than other quotes. Enjoying your videos
Good to hear mate, I just re insured all my cars with Shannons myself. i was paying close to 10k a year in insurance, got it down to 480 month.
That's really good
@@anthonyschembri8096 i was pretty happy with it, plus all have buy back options
its all crap bro cause, i got 25 stone chips from a truck all at once my insurance wrote my car off after inspection ,ve by the way. their lazy they say they will get parts but no after the accident its easier to write off
WHAT, that is WILD! they wrote off a car because of stone chips? What has the world come too. i hope you did okay out of it atleast?
just had my 06 VZ SS written off also, P Plater into the rear at traffic lights, very fixable but cos only 12K insurance (max you can with RAC) wrote it off... absolutely spewing, cant buy back had to bid at auction for it... what a world
@@OPTIMUS6LTR That is wild, Why was it only insured for 12k? i feel a VZ SS would have to be worth more then that. surely? I always make sure i have first dibs do buy my cars back as i know i wont get what they owe me.. Sorry to hear this has happened to you mate.
@@RCSMediaDivision cheers bro, 12k thats max redbook price aami rac use. shannons to insure for 18k want 1500 a year...who do you insured with? *edit just read below shannons. mate im so cut managed to remove stereo but couldnt take wheels ... had the hsv 4pots on there too..
@@OPTIMUS6LTR Yer thats why i went with shannons, the more cars you have with them the more they look after you too. plus they value the cars a lot better then others as they understand the market more.
They are getting stolen like crazy at the moment
Isnt that just crazy! What are they doing with all these cars? gota be export but how do they get away with it..
Seen FG FPV bars going for $10,000 plus, watch rossreviews latest video on why his insurance company gave him a cash settlement for his F6 with only slight front damage because they were having too much trouble finding one. m.ruclips.net/video/pxYwzQpNM54/видео.html&pp=ygUMUm9zcyByZXZpZXdz
It's a bit of parts shortage/lack of parts but the bigger factor is they're getting stolen left, right and center.
The remote start in those things has to be the worst thing they did yer?
100% it was.
I just went through pickles and manheim for just this coming tuesdays auction 19/11/2024 in Victoria alone and there is a total of 7 listed tagged with stolen. The stolen car facebook pages im in theres a post nearly everyday of 1 or more going missing. As much as I'd love to have 1 of the last ones i couldn't sleep at night knowing someone can take it so easily and you'll probably never see it again. A friend of mine had his GTS stolen near on 2 years ago and it's never been found.
@@Elumnix That is so sad to hear mate, actually infuriates me that people are stealing so much.. And worse.. Holden made it easier for them..
I don’t know about front bumper bar, but I know where to get two brand-new guards of gumtree sounds like a dodgy scam typical insurance company
Id of just thought it was always based off the cars price not how hard it is to get parts? if they bumpers are in such high demand would it not make more sense for Holden to just get more made?
@@RCSMediaDivision it’s funny you mentioning this story. I’m just about to buy a VFSS. We should become car thieves.😂👌
@@korkad204 i feel like iv lived my life too honestly sometimes haha but i struggle to sleep doing the right thing.. imagine how bad it would be if i did bad stuff... i feel like we should start making VF bumpers..
@ I hear you bro. Honesty is the best policy.👌
@@korkad204 Always. sometimes im a little too honest and it annoys me.. i tell people too much haha but id still rather be like that then the other way..
Holden stopped making the vf and didn't have enough stop gap to need to reproduce them. I work at a wreckers the one on the car is the only one there. They are getting ridden off by insurance because the front bars don't exist holden never made more
I can’t find your statesman on eBay 😢?
Auction ended and didnt meet reserve. im not sure ill run it again. thinking ill keep it.

Yer its great buying at the moment and that is a good point mate. im glad someone like yourself can get into a nice car at a good price.. not always a bad thing when prices go down.
take the extras off the old holden ,and its not worth a lot ,send it to auction and its $1500 max
he is lucky he does not move out of Australia ,the rest of the world aint so easy .
That is very true mate
IF YOU LIVE IN Australia, then i would not complain ,if you were working in Canada ,wages are $15 per hour ,imaging customer coming to your workshop ,and paying you.
All valid points mate.
Stato😂 iconic bogan car
OUCH Haha
in relation to cars prices/market just did a full rebuild on a 135k ss ve wagon 08, from a short block, full clean up bla bla made it presentable and a decent daily/shower nothing to extreme small cam all the normal you would do. dealer would sell it for 22-25k as a private seller i sold to a dealer for 15k after two weeks listing and am happy with that. gives me room and money for the next build and im not losing money in holding onto it. all the best in ur venture... p.s point being always look on the low scale of the value its never a simple equation with only 2 parameters. money in your pocket @ 25% less is often more important then spending that 25% holding onto it for a year to make that magic number
Makes a lot of sense mate, totally agree. Im not in any means a " car flipper " the cars iv bought now iv bought to keep forever so iv unfortionately paid high prices as iv wanted to get exactly what i want. so i think for me at this point in time its not worth selling any cars and ill just figure something else out. Always plenty of ways to make some extra money.
@@RCSMediaDivision especially for blokes who arnt lazy mate ~ all the best keep up the content
@@beefpkt True that mate, Will do =)
Looks to have water in the passenger headlight of the s14 when you were using the hammer..
Cant say i noticed that, I see what you mean. its as if the whole internal of the indicator and headlight are not in good shape.
Don't waste your time with a Brobo saw.. Get yourself a double miter band saw.. Been there done that.
Iv got a good mate thats an engineer and he swears by them, i was leaning towards a band saw. Whats your pros and cons?
@RCSMediaDivision Brobo blades are expensive, and a lot of mucking around to find someone skilled enough to sharpen the blades, delays getting them back, if you chip a tooth its a full blade replacement... As a bandsaw, they throw away item, you can have a couple spares ready to go quickeasy to change.. Biggest advantage is a Bandsaw you don't need to stand there and actually do the cutting, clamp it, turn it on, set your required feed, and walk away, automatically turns itself off upon completion. Brobo's are a time waster, you need to stand there and constantly feed the cut. Bandsaws are quiter, and depending on size bandsaw will cut bigger material. Also found the Bobo the table would constantly jam up whenever I wanted to do a miter cut which use to piss me off. I had a Brobo for 10yrs, off loaded it a bought a Bandsa around 5yrs ago, no way I'd ever go back to a Brobo type cutting machine. Cheers 🍻
@RCSMediaDivision Also, an Engineer can be determined as different scenarios, below is just an example of two. An Engineer who actually works with physical materials "every day" and is hands-on and the one who is physically building shit, more like a Boilermaker welder. Or an Engineer who sits behind a desk doing calculations, weights, measures, and design etc. TBH, the second of the above scenario Engineer would have no idea if a Brobo is better than a Bandsaw. In the end, you decide. Good luck with your future purchase. Cheers 🍻
@@jb243wp Really appreciate the input mate, If you dont mind what bandsaw did you buy? could you send me the listing of one id love to check it out. the points you brought up are all exactly what iv been thinking too..
@RCSMediaDivision Bought mine from Asset Plant and Machinery in Dandenong South VIC. It's a Steelmaster 3phase, double mitre cut, and its cut capacity is around 255mm square. They are reasonably cheap for what they are. It's easily paid for itself 5 or 6 times over, never had any problems, and goes day in and day out, mine could have up to 5 different people use it in one day on different jobs types. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if it shit itself tomorrow.. Like I said, the feed is hydraulic, you don't need to stand there and do the cutting, just clamp it, start it, select your desired feed, and walk away. There is no need to stand there wasting time to pull down any leaver for cutting. Good luck 👍
$8000
Yep, guess ill be keeping it then
All I want is a 2010 V6 camry for les than 5k
Im sure you can find something haha, what are they listed for?
@@RCSMediaDivision been a year since i looked but back then it was more than i paid in 2018.
@@ryanclarke2161 Yer right, its been a wild ride these last few years with car prices.
I just bought a brand new demo GSR Triton with 190km on it, with towbar kit, reinforced steel rear bar, underbody protection kit, snorkel, bonnet protector, 31" all terrains and side steps for $56,990, for context its a $75k ute in that spec. I liquidated my toyota century and mint old KZN165R hilux, actually getting a decent price for the lux of $23k which was the 2nd most expensive KZN in Australia. Lots of deals will come up in 2025, across cars, bikes, boats and jetskis etc.
Yer right, done well mate! Totally agree. next few years will be good buying. not great selling.
No car shop has a reception
They all do around my area, my office is more for me editing RUclips videos tho. i like having a nice area to do that. call it a man cave or reception...
@RCSMediaDivision yeah nice area then I guess
The car market is so dead right now. Looking for a vs stato and the prices have fallen so much over the last couple months. Good luck with your sale, hopefully you get what you want for the car 👌
Didnt meet reserve, think ill look into other avenues for funds.. Not letting it go too cheap. i love that car.
@ awesome glad to hear it. They are cool cars and it would be a shame to get rid of it at such a low price. Definitely keep it, they are such a cool cruiser
@@rtyt2007 Definitely not letting it go for a 20k loss so it will be staying with me for the moment. i need to drive my cars more so i remember what i love about them. i had not driven this one in ages and i drove it home sat night and was like OH SHIT i actually dont want to sell this haha
@ haha that’s awesome, I’m hopefully looking at buying a vs statesman as my first car. Hopefully I love it as much as you do
@@rtyt2007 what area are you in? i seen a super 6 the other day. gold caprice. not the most tidy thing but its pretty neat for the age. guy wants 6k which i think is very cheap. i can put you onto him if you want?
Markets are dead because the new cars are alot quicker then old cars... technology to advanced to make old cars worth buyinh
That is a very good point, most people can only afford to have one car so if i was in the same boat id be buying something thats comfortable and quick. New cars dont have the right look for me personally but i can completely appreciate this comment.
I just wanna buy $500 commodores again.. those were the days.. no one is buying cars right now, and those who are selling are trying to get covid tax to cover their costs.. 10 years ago, people would buy a 10k car, keep it for a few years, then sell for 6k, and they would understand that cars depreciate, but these days its not like that.. Unfortunately on this business side of things with cancellations, we cant control this. The best advice I could give you for this cause i have had it happen to me many times as well when you have a big job coming up, is "no deposit, no booking". If the customer wants to secure their booking, a deposit must be paid. Its like selling a car. If someone is interested, but cant come pick it up asap, they will put a deposit on it to secure the purchase, otherwise youll get a tyre kicker. On another note, loving the videos man! Keep it up!
Totally agree on that mate, this is prob the best comment iv read so far. really appreciate you taking the time to write this. as i said iv had the car for a year. iv prob done 1500-2000kms in it and im happy to take a 6/7 thousand loss on it but if it doesnt meet reserve ill just keep it. at the moment id be loosing too much for it to be worth selling. ill figure it out otherwise. I generally always get materials paid for to lock in the job, that way if i do get screwed over its just my time. but even that now im like i need 70% of the job really because thats what the shop takes from me at a minimum anyway. Especially with doing these giveaways.
@@RCSMediaDivision At the end of the day, if you have to take a loss on the car to keep the lights on for the business then thats just what has to happen. Everything happens for a reason man, and in the end everything will come together. work hard, hustle hard, and hope it pays off in the future!
@@detailthatcustoms for sure mate, iv always been a firm believer of you have to do what you have to do and i will always do that. no matter what, i have a vision for my business and all personal things come second to that. Thanks Legend!
At the end of the day, its a car and a depreciating asset. Further more it doesnt earn you any money. I understand what your feeling, i bought a 70k motorbike and now cant get rid of it for 40k

Not just car market all industries should be crap for the next ten years then pick up pretty standard. We need unemployment to raise to decrease inflation so should be at least around 800k more jobs needed to be aded ao bigger companies are getting tax breaks to fire a bunch of workers this is normal practice
