I agree with this build, animation times and speed make the warrior skills extremely punishing. A character that needs to be point blank cannot risk misplacement for a single major ability because its a one hit kill in most boss scenarios. Having auto attack as your main source of damage reduces your window youre locked in animation and allows for dodging attacks much more. I think they need to increase the animation speed for almost all the warrior abilities because why is basic attack dealing the most damage?
So while I agree with auto attacks being the filler move, i noticed that with the increased speed support gem your armor breaker can swing super fast. You can utilize this on most bosses with a punishing roll transition. Armour break, roll, totem, roll, armour break, earthquake and so forth. Constantly armour broken and taking big damage right before a big knockdown then take your sunder or big slam ability and finish the armour break off. Rinse repeat when you can
why are the recommended gems from GGG so bad like theyre just terrible slightly more dps once every 6 seconds? (Fist of war) its such a mess, I didnt know about brutality.
Damn ok, for anyone watching this heading to the end of act 2. Farm the dreadnaught a bunch before doing the boss. It’s good exp for a little bit but it also drops mad rings. One of them being the lighting ring.
The build you posted s in description shows you went melee damage first on your passive tree? I thought you went stun first in the video? Did you respec that?
when you get giants blood, do the 2h weapons still count as 2h weapons for the purpose of other passives? or it counts as 1h weapons now / dual wielding now?
@@Warsign01 Not if you are about to get hit. I use both honestly. Oh and I spam the shit out of leap slam. For regular packs, leap slap into boneshatter pretty much deletes every pack with herald of ash. I might throw some support gems into the default attack as I don't have any, which is stupid because I do use it a lot.
I believe the way you ascend in this game is great, but I think the first two points of ascending should be made easier. This would allow players to experience what it means to be ascended and understand how rewarding it is. Personally, I tried and failed seven times in a row, and since I didn’t know what ascending was like, I just gave up. I returned to playing the game without ascending. However, many players would likely quit the game altogether and move on. Both perspectives have some truth. GGG is trying to retain beginner players to build a large player base, but with trials that are so difficult depending on the class, I don’t think this is the right approach. As I mentioned before, if players could feel the power of being ascended and realize how beneficial it is, they would be motivated to work hard to achieve all eight points. However, players can’t feel the loss of something they’ve never experienced. For new players in the PoE franchise, there’s no sense of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) around ascending, which I believe is a significant missed opportunity for GGG.
I'm doing okay as a newbie that never the played POE and don't play arpgs . I had to hit level 20 before I could clear act 1 main boss . Act 2 going smoothly but the Gypsie or gin destroys me . I trued twice and not close. Hell if she has a second phase I'm really screwed . I can't get a decent weapon . I buy ,craft everything I can but the weapons in the game suck . My major complaint is itself not fun getting nothing but shut for loot . Never has a decent weapon dropped except a bow and a staff ,but I'm a warrior . Does nothing for me .
POE is much more crafting focused. Sure you can get lucky with a good drop, but you are better off just taking a base (grey weapon) or a blue with really good rolls, and upgrading it to rare. Then craft on the extra modifiers. If you disenchant at least some of your items, especially your yellows, you should have enough to craft a better weapon. Same with using the salvaging bench on every item with a socket that you aren't going to use. It gives you the materials to add sockets on to gear. Having +40% physical is a huge boost to your weapon. Check the vendor often, every few levels (5 maybe?) you will start seeing high bases. If you see a blue that is a higher base (check item level by holding alt) with one or preferably two physical damage modifiers (increased % and the one that adds X - Y physical damage), buy that shit and upgrade it to rare. Pickup all the grey high ilvl/highest base and upgrade them to magic (blue). If it rolls a physical affix or something else useful, then add another modifier orb of augmentation. If it is another physical (you want at least one on your weapon) then make it a yellow, throw two iron runes into it and you have a much more powerful weapon.
Yeah I had the same feeling as you with crushing blows it made boneshatter unusable which was the best skill on war early tbh. Sucks you need to take it to get to the 40 percent more dmg to stunned, but maybe it is more useful for late game. Leap slam with overpower and faster attacks with boneshatter has been the way for me it opens up a big sunder bleed right after too. Theres a support that breaks armor on heavy stun which makes the sunder hit like a truck. I cant to get hammer of gods too to weave in a stun window.
Sadly the support gem breaking armor on heavy stun doesnt work on skills like Sunder as it has Payoff tag which they added a week prior to EA release as a nerf just tested it today and I will make a updated video with mid-game build when I wake up. Thanks for watching man and ur setup sounds good!
Not at all a fan of how they gave almost every warrior skill 3-8 seconds of windup before the attack hits. Was excited to finally get sunder only to realize it has an extremely long, unmodifiable attack time. Same as earthquake and rolling slam. If stampede doesn’t end up being good I’m cooked
@@captinsprinkle7795 thats good to hear! I dont like the totem playstyle never did even in poe1 looking at its hp and what not haha but yeah armor breaker with right supports is amazing
i can see why your having some struggle, your build and skills have zero synergy. try using ailments for your builds and tree like bleeds and ignites. there are good nodes to support either or
Considering how much I have been struggling the first 15 levels, then watching a "pro" say things get harder... I will be giving up long before endgame.
I think my main problem its the atrition and lack of leech/life on hit You gain so little life on hit and get hit by such huge amount that boss fights are a struggle. A real struggle. Of course melee its hard. We know. But suppose to be that hard? I have a witch and a mercenary. Both of them are much easer. And I dont need to use regular shots/fire as we need on warrior. Its a early access, I know, but ive played PoE for like 10 years, Devs know the melee problem and could have started better, for sure.
I think its just this early because if I was to compare very early to mid game now it feels so much better. In general though you are right with melee so will see what happens!
Wow you cant get hit in trials ????? That was my least favorite Poe1 league. Smh well I am done been level 24 and this has been just two days of frustration and very little fun. Glad others like this but after all the build up and the disappointment for me it sucks.

you dont like Rolling Slam? i just used that skill the whole time
