There's a sequence in this fight where Dom is up against the cage and dodges 5 or 6 punches from TJ and nails TJ with an uppercut and pivots out to the center. It's criminal that it's not in this highlight.

one of the most incredible things in the history of Fighting and Martial Arts. Being gone for so long, plagued by too many injuries. Never lost the belt he’s always defended but had to vacate. Comes back and mostly destroys and humiliates the current champion in Tj Dillashaw to retake his title. Dominick Cruz, one of the true legends and greatest bantamweight Fighter in history.
I mean I’m a huge fan of Cruz but this was a very close fight 🤔 either way it’s a shame we never got to see Cruz in his prime. Renan fight, and so many other possible match ups that could’ve been

@Ali Abdelaziz he was injured all the time because he is a wuss. 2 years without a fight, 3 years no fights, even a 4 year stint without a fight. He’s been fighting 18 years and only has 27 fights. By contrast, a savage like Gegard Mousasi has been active for 19 years and has something like 60 fights.
From living in a trailer, raised by a tough, no non-sense mom to coming back and becoming a world champion again after dealing with 3 or perhaps 4 career ending leg injuries. Cruz is an inspiration for all of us.
Going on 40, No kids No wife, Just him and a dog.

Offensive footwork vs defensive footwork. The history and rivalry of this fight was amazing. My favorite ufc fight by far
When you consider how long he was gone and the facts that TJ was most likely on EPO or some sort of PED during this fight you really get to thinking just how good Dominick Cruz really was at this time
Idk about that, they retested every test of TJ’s career and they only one that was positive was in the Cejudo fight

And second they don't keep urine in a filing cabinet somewhere to test at later dates . They'd have to have one hell of a warehouse to store every fighters samples from their very first test.

Masterclass by Cruz. This version of him at age 30 wasn’t losing to anybody. Bantamweight GOAT and it’s scary to think how much better he could have been if he never got hurt. TJ would have lost every single round if Cruz never got hurt.
Hardly a masterclass, close fight, a lot of people thought Dillashaw won. If TJ started throwing kicks earlier, he would've stopped Cruz in this one

I said if Cruz never was injured the fight wouldn’t have even been close and the fact that he fought TJ after an ACL reconstruction surgery and beat him in a close fight just shows he was the better champion all along. Also TJ could have been on juice too.
@@RickSixPodcast they tested TJs previous tests, he was clean. Cruz took a few years off, he had time to get healthy and study TJ and barely edged him out. This aint a masterclass from Cruz, was a very good fight from both guys
