re-upload cuz the first one was fucked
I was looking for a video on the death watch, but I could not find it.
I think maiby you did not make it? Understandable, it is an anti er codex worth. And you are making a video each day! Insane.
Same question, with the same obvious caveats
😂
@vidarthorsby2052 he skipped it but will be doing it later. Made a post on the community tab of the channel about the ones he skipped if u want to vote
@@vidarthorsby2052 I was at a tournament the day Deathwatch released, so I haven't gotten to it yet
From what I understand, the balance dataslate takes away the only reasons we'd stick around the index detachment (ie changes to 3 inch deeps strikes, true silver, etc.)
well...the primary reasons are mist of deimos and sigil of exigence but yes, all the secondary reasons are meh now.
A friend used the new detachment against me around new years. Fun fact about Fires of Covenant. It says "when an enemy sets up or ends a normal, advance or fall back within 6". It doesn't say anything about if the enemy charged :P
This detatchment is being wildly underated . Its basialy the home of dread knight based armies now
I think a 6 inch deepstriking brochamp with 10 strikes will be core for this detachment
Chuck that radiant champion enhancement on a techmarine for max mortals 💪 huge pog
I love this new detachment, and with the major nerfs to TSF, this one jumps up very quick. Some spicy stuff to consider;
- purgs sitting on top floor of wtc terrain getting those sweet RR's with plunging fire.
- bro-cap with Rad Champ, RR'n hits with Sus (join termies and he's got lethal too that count towards the MW's)
- purifiers taking psy's instead of flammers to hot even harder
- 5man termies do considerable damage for cheaper than 10mans
- ndk's jumping around to purifier bubbles makes them terrifyingly good
- purifier MW AoE can be nasty when you get your Crowe charge off and can get close to multiple targets. It's at end of fight phase, so after consolidating, so you could tag a ton
- the -2 charge strat feels like a great deterrent, making DS charges into your back field massive hail-marries.
Only issue I'm having atm is fitting in all the units I want to play with!
With Prognosticated Arrival going to 6", and Truesilver only affecting one activation, Teleport Strike Force is dead. Long live Warpbane Task Force!
Hear me out. Put the precision enhancement on a techmarine. That dude gets a lot of swings
Im genuinely wondering if purifiers in a land raider maybe with tech marine servitors might be a thing or maybe slap paragon of sanctity on the tech marine
I am convinced it's good.
But my approach is completely different
The new Ironstorm is here with Oath vs everything
Crowe
Techmarine
Techmarine with Paragon
2x5 strike
10 purifiers with cannons
5 Purifiers with cannons
2x5 purgations with cannons
3x4 servitors with multimelta
Landraider with all the free guns
6x razorback with lascannon and hunterkiller
Radiant Champion only do mortal wounds for every wound save not save it? o for every damage?
Its for every successful wound roll. So not damage, and not after the save
the mortal wounds of Radiant Champion enhancement have precision? why?
I ran a game with this detachment earlier. Took a different approach than you did on a couple things. I ran
1x5 terminators using psycannon led by draigo
1x5 terminators using psycannon led by brotherhood captain with the radiant champion enhancment
1x5 strike squad
2x5 purifier squad with psycannon heavy weapons
1x10 purifier squad with castellan crowe (no heavy weapons to maximize the force weapons),
3x Nemesis Dreadknights
1x ministorum priest
Drago exists as a good resctionary deep strike dive bomb, lethal hits with full rerolls is handy, the other unit with brotherhood captain is great for the sustained and lethals which with rerolls becomes spooky especially if he needs to precision a character out of a unit, 2x5 purifiers act as action monkeys but also is a more flexible way of setting up the detachment rule when and where i may need it(especially with the 6in deep strike strat), crowe brick is a big ole desth brick to hopefully smack something away which is handy with the reroll wounds strat, dreadknights because of dreadknights lol, and ministorum priest cause i had the left over points lol, but he can sit on home objective screening out or even go into strat reserves to net some secondary maybe
Well? How did it go? Imagine leaving that comment and not telling us what happened.
@@tobiasterry7194
yeah i ended up on the same list!
the 45 Points on the end are annoying as heck, but theres no other choice than priest
@perrybailey5565 wasn't against the greatest of opponents but still enough of a game to get a general feel for what the detachment is capable of, i fought against a Dark Angels list that had 2 icc bricks and 2 terminator bricks, the opponent was effectively tabled bottom of 3 completely so bottom of 4 basically. AoC kinda wrecks an entire castellan crowe purifier units shooting so be mindful of that. But having the 2 min units of purifiers for actions, smaller dmg activations, and set up the detachment rule else where feels strong. Dreadknights feel spooky with added consistency for sure to their dmg output
“Every grey knights infantry unit is a terminator”
I know that’s the meme but Strike Squads and their variations are very much not terminators, they don’t have the keyword, this is a very strike marine heavy detachment
No Crowe is a crime dude
Purifiers have an invulnerable save against shooting?
if you use the stratagem to give it to them yeah
@TacticalTortoise I see, I guess I missed that spot, thanks.
Why no Crowe in the list?
no pointsssss
also I'm not sure he's necessary with how many full rerolling anti infantry guns it has
@@TacticalTortoise You're smoking the good shit bro lol. Crowe is ESSENTIAL now. He literally has a D3 mortals to anything within 6" bomb that having him in the unit gives a +1 to the roll on! (D3 mortals on 3+ instead of 4+ if no crowe.)
Him with a unit of 10 Purifiers gives you TWENTY FOUR purifying flame blows (18" range psychic attack, hits on 3+, 4 Strength -1 AP 1 DMG with Ignores Cover and Anti-Infantry 2+) with full re-rolls to hit AND for 1CP you get full re-rolls to wound as well!! (So against Infantry you're getting statistically around 85-90% chance to hit and an 83.3% chance to wound, and against anything else you can get wound re-rolls on EVERY attack including FOUR S8 AP-1 D2 Psycannons or you can roll the S6 AP-1 D1 Ignores Cover + Torrent on four Incinerators for guaranteed overwatch destruction). This brick is either an infantry shredding machine and/or strong enough to punch up against even Terminators or Custodes in some cases. Yes you still want some Dreadknights or Terminators but Crowe is an auto-include in most lists now. There's a reason why he got a bizarre point nerf up to 90 points in the last Munitorum Field Manual.
Me with army wide 2+/4++/5+++ with option for 4+++ for 1cp
😂
Dread hammer did only 1 wound to my tank
Fellow custodes player haha. grey knights matchup into talons custodes is almost unplayable lol. Even the sisters 75 pt rhino is crazy tanky against them.
14:29 What game is that?
Tabletop Simulator
The list at the end is 15 points over. Nemmy Dreads are 210 now not 205.
Yep; but they weren't when the video was released 🤷♂️
everything except vehicles..and guess what is prevalent in the meta right now
Who TF cares what's in the meta?
@madlarkin8 it depends if you play in tournaments or not. if you play casually it doesn't matter at all, if you play competitively you would care (if you intend on trying to win the tourney) . though I would be remiss if I didnt point out that metas shift all the time.
@@spicybarbecue222 if I recall, the last four major tournaments were won by non meta armies. Not only not meta, but considered "weak" armies. And at Atlanta Grand tournament, the Astra Militarum armies that won (which is considered strong right now) were all composed of highly unusual and non meta builds. Games Workshops %50 army Winrate metric is an absolutely worthless statistic for several reasons. It only informs you what enemies you are likely to face, because the theorycrafters chase what they perceive as "best" that month. In practice, "game changing" buffs/nerfs are usually less impact full than whether a player had a cup of coffee that morning.
GK R Forever a Buncha QTs
The first thing wrong with this video was the guy saying this detachment focuses on epic hero’s.😂😂😂😂 absolutely wrong in that area bud.
wut
Smoking dat good shit I see
the detachment makes purifiers good.... other units just get a reroll 1s only, which you can do with a venerable dreadnaught if you really wish, even if its been nerfed, i think teleport strike detachment is still better
That’s wrong, if they’re within hallowed ground they get full rerolls to hit
Some times GW sucks and makes bad rules hopefully your in a better mood then when you were on stream earlier today
Add a comment...😅
Forget the terminators. Run Paladins. Paladins are compatible with the Hallowed beacon strategem. At end of opponent's turn, pick up purifiers and kaldor's paladins. place purifiers first creating hallowed ground, 9'' away as per normal teleport rules, then using hallowed beacon place kaldor's paladins only 6'' away from the enemy unit. With Kaldor, a 6'' charge has an over 98% chance of success after a teleport.
Paladins are considered terminators
Yeah but no, as said, paladins have the keyword terminator, so you cant do that. Plus you want full reroll on lethal with terminators
