That is an amazing birthday haul! I have trouble thinking of gift ideas whenever someone asks what I want for my birthday/Christmas/Etc., so I would genuinely be stoked to get a bunch of comsumable items like chips. The birthday deal grab is a good idea too. You're right in that a lot of those deals are desserts, which makes them perfect for freezing for later.
As an adult I always put consumables on my wishlist because it genuinely makes me so happy to receive treats 😄 You're so right I should have froze them. Don't worry though they all got eaten. I think the Panera cinnamon roll was the only one I didn't completely finish.
