Nice find. You should look into replacing the capacitors on the game board. The original capacitors Konami used for these 6 player X-men cabinets were known for overheating, getting very hot, and leaking onto the board. One of tell tale signs is the audio becoming messed up or not working.
Yeah, we replaced the audio custom on our 4 Player X-Men machine a while back, so we're probably going to do it to this one too. The audio is working on both channels though, so it probably has a little life left in it.

Dang, that is nice. I played the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade more than X-Men, but a big part of that was that the six player X-Men was not around very much. When it was, I always tried to get a few quarters in it.
We've never been big fans of the TMNT arcade, but the X-Men was always awesome. The extra real estate on the six player makes for a much more chaotic experience!

We first played it at Magfest. The machine is so ingrained in Magfest culture, I think last Magfest there were three there in various states of completeness. One complete original, one with a flat screen in the backbox, and one that just was a podium with a flat screen on a tripod.

This loaded up with 6 guys at the arcade was epic. Usually a huge crowd around too. So cool.

I used to play the 4P version of this...I had no idea they made a 6P version! Has to be the most P ever available in one arcade cabinet?
There are a couple other six player games out there, but they certainly aren't portable! Check out the galaxian 3 theater!
