Unreached People: Not a Missions Problem

- Over 3 billion people in the world today have little or no access to the gospel-we refer to them as the unreached. It's easy to look at this staggering number of unreached people and label it as a missions problem, but this is a problem that actually runs deeper. This is a discipleship problem. In this message from David Platt based on Matthew 28:18-20 and Revelation 7:9-10, David Platt helps us see the massive number of unreached people as a discipleship problem. Every follower of Christ should desire to obey Jesus, and this obedience involves living our lives and using our resources for the sake of making disciples among every people group on the plant. This message was given at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Wow! God help us get out of our comfort zones and GO
What the Holy Spirit has made me understand as someone who is answering the Great commission full time for some time now mostly in the red zones or where people need evangelizing, is what it says in Zechariah 4:6, that is by the Holy Spirit that we can answer the Great commission, as well as Romans 10:14-15 that teaches us that it is by being called that we go. We need to keep teaching about Jesus, praying that people are anointed by the Holy Spirit to get the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit after getting baptized by submersion so they too can be part of the Great commission. 🕊️🙌🙏🏼
Please pray for me that I and others around me can make multiplying disciple makers among unreached in Malaysia.
I super appreciate your heart brother, I see things so much like you do. However, if the statistics in 2024 are so grim, I think we might still need to focus on disciplining goers to "specific" unreached peoples. You are trying to turn around a huge ship and I pray you don't become frustrated waiting for it to do a 180 because that is about what it would take. Also, it may never turn around. I hope my colleague at the IMB research offices (Jim Coursen) was able to put my book on your desk when you were at the IMB. Also, be encouraged, sometimes the organizations don't run us out, God runs the organization out of us! Many Blessings in Christ!
Jesus our lord and savior❕
Maybe we do give most money to the green areas, but maybe they are green because we gave money and resources.
So instead of judgment, rather say it's time for a change? Or am I now being too judgmental?
"I hope you have chapter Matthew 28 memorized"
