Great first boat! My first was a Lowe 170 with a 70hp. Great boats. My suggestions: if you are going to run skinny waters keep the aluminum prop. Easier to replace a aluminum prop than run a stainless and tear up your entire lower unit. i speak from experience here. you are not quite ready for true big water yet, you are ready for big bass water though. My Crestliner Sportfish is a true big water boat. Deep V aluminum.

Had a 13.5 foot Herters Hudson Bay fiberglass duck boat. Tiny and low to the water. On the outside it looked like a widowmaker. Once you got in and tried tipping it over your eyes get big and you smiled. Was a trusty craft so I named it MINNOW 2.

I picked up my new 2020 Tracker 175 TXW Tournament Edition right at the start of the pandemic.. called around and had trouble finding one, so was going to drive 6 hours to get the one I wanted.. waited 2 days and was able to source one locally... I love the boat, but my kayak (Native Titan 13.5) has been sitting idle since.. these new aluminum boats ROCK!!
