So much gratitude to the Videography, You really, really did an astounding job capturing this show! I WAS THERE!!!! ... and You totally took me back to that night🌙 Thank you again, much Love!!!
Yes! I was so thankful to see this of the whole concert! Wonderful job! I had been taking various videos during the concert and they are okay, but this is AMAZING!
This was an AWESOME night!! I have loved them since 1964! Saw them at the Cow Palace in 1966 and at Altamont in 1969. They are still so amazing, and they sound better than ever, and Mick hasn't slowed down one bit! He still has all the moves! This was the BEST concert I've ever been to! ❤💙💚💛🤎
@@marclemonmusic It was great day. I was there with two of my friends from high school. We got there early and got to hear so many great bands throughout the day! Jefferson Airplane Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Santana just to name a few!! Everyone was peaceful and just hanging out. This was long before we all had cell phones with cameras to document everything, but I sure wish I had at least taken my little Kodak X-15 to capture some of the bands and the huge crowd! I still have the local newspapers with the write ups about the concert. At the very end of the all day concert it was dark by the time the Rolling Stones started to play and that is when things stated happening. They hadn't been singing very long. We really didn't even know what was going on. But Mick kept having to stop singing to tell everyone to just chill out. We really didn't know what was going on up there by the stage, but we realized there was some sort of confrontation with someone in the crowd, All of all sudden, all of us who were standing sort of midway towards the front, were all pushed back. The concert ended shortly after that and later we found out about a Hell's Angel had killed a man. As sad and tragic as that was, I hate that the whole concert got a bad rap, as all that day leading up to the Stones singing and seeing the Stones was wonderful. It was just so sad that the Hell's Angels had been hired to be the "security". That was the big mistake. It really was a wonderful day, for the hundreds of thousands for those of us who were in the audience. And I am sorry the Rolling Stones had to end this concert early due to what happened.
@@DB-ph2fo Hi, thanks for your reply which puts a different slant on Altamont. I've read an incisive account of the darkness brewing that day, and saw the footage of Jagger watching a film of what happened, which shows exactly what did happen, not good. I've known a couple of people who knew Brian, but that's another story
This was an awesome night👍👍👍. Surprised my wife, in-laws n mom, pretended to have a bbq in Marin and when they’d showed up we hopped in the limo and we all had a great time👍👍👍🎸🍻
Hi David,oh you find the Stones boring?😮 I myselve enjoyed the concerts on my Smartphone.Surprises "Like a Rolling Stones"and the Keith-Special ❤in every Concert.Yes and "Far away ey s! Greetings from Germany
I was there, best song was Gimme Shelter where Mick danced and sang with his female backup. During the show, after several songs, they showed a close up of Mick and he looked beat and ready to stop. Then they had three songs with Keith singing, then Mick came back out to finish the show. After seeing that, I think this might be their last tour. I flew over from Hawaii to see them, and they kept all us old people in the parking lot for an extra hour in the heat while they did their "sound checks". Never seen so many old people in one spot, all sweating in the Santa Clara afternoon sun. I expected a few heat strokes in that parking lot.
Why do you have quotes around "sound checks"? You know they do those before every show, right? Like, even when they have consecutive shows in the same venue - they still do the soundcheck in the afternoon. You must have gotten there really early. I got there around 7 and everything seemed normal. Also, they actually went on stage a little earlier than normal because of a sound curfew in Santa Clara. "Then they had three songs with Keith singing, then Mick came back out to finish the show. After seeing that, I think this might be their last tour." The mini-set by Keith in the middle of the show really isn't new. This tour is the first time that he's had three songs, but Mick taking a break while Keith sings a few songs has been going on for a long time.
@@camicawber I was there in 2019 for the next to the last show that featured Charlie Watts. I arrived at the stadium five hours before the advertised 5:30 opening for the general public. I walked five miles from my hotel to the stadium. I was stopped about one mile away by a woman checking to insure I had a ticket. Once I showed her my iphone ticket she let me pass. San Tomas Creek Trail. When i reached the stadium, there was a chain link fence across the trail. A guy waved me to come around an opening on the side, I lined up behind everyone else, and passed through security. They put an armband on my wrist and let me through. Once I was in the stadium, a guard came up and shook my hand. He said I looked the part with my bibs and headband. I told him I flew thousands of miles and walked five more to be a part of this. He said enjoy and left. Another woman accosted me and said why are you here? I said because I have a ticket. She threw her arms up and walked away. I spent several hours sitting in my seat reading a book while they set up the stage, prepared. Then they announced that we all had to go back onto the concourse while they did their sound check. Yes, I know what a sound check is. My gripe with this concert is that the Levis stadium advertises that general admission starts at 5:30. Which I shared with the other old folks baking in the sun. And they did not open the entrance until 6:45 pm. Open the freaking gates and let us in, do your sacred sound check but let us get into the shade and wait there. I will never return to Levis stadium for a concert. Last time, 2019, the Stones were pissed about not being able to shoot off their fireworks at the end (fire danger), so they played an hour later than curfue. And Levis let them come back five years later. Money talks. And us old people are still pissed about waiting an extra hour to be admitted into some shade.
@@thomasrobbins4796 "Yes, I know what a sound check is" OK. But you put it in quotes like it wasn't a real thing. And sorry about your experience. Sounds like that sucked...but was it notably hot that day? I came in from Sacramento where it had been 105+ for a couple of weeks, so I remember Santa Clara being pretty comfortable.
Don’t know which screen to look at, including the multitude of small ones popping up everywhere. Was there an actual band there somewhere? So glad I didn’t waste my money, time and energy attending this electronic fest.
Sure Davis, I'm sure you'd prefer another faceless, auto-tuned drone with the musical ability of a gnat, instead of a multi-decade band that is one of the greatest if not THE GREATEST rock bands of all time. I feel sorry for you.

Only bad thing about the show was all that 49er crap surrounding you....and the $20+ beer
bout time we have a woman president I hope Kamala Harris beats Trump this November
"Get off of my cloud" has no energy to it.

I was there and it turns out they didn't make you record it on your phone. I was free to look at the stage or the main screens around it.
you can really see keiths heart is just not in it. hes just going thru the moves and cashing the checks.
He's 80 years old and not a fitness freak like Mick - he's not going to move the way he used to. But he sounds better than he has in a long time.
Stones are boring like all arena rock, time to go home, you are a cliche.
You don't have to be s dick!!!
@davis,how old are you,13,14 ?😂
