    I love this mini drones becaue I can fly at more crowded places without disturbing people to much. For example my DJI FPV drone or T-Motor freestyle drone just make so much noise and go so fast and far. There are not many places in the Netherlands you can fly them without disturbing people. Smaller drones on small pieces in the dunes, it's awesome.

    A new small Flywoo drone!
    A new version of Flywoo Firefly which is the new Flywoo Freestyle Firefly 1S with better motors and new carbon fiber frame that flies beautifully!
    It is very fun to fly these FPV drones at home as they are tiny and can go through the most confined places!
    But, it was going to be most welcomed if it came with an RTF kit!!!

    Thats cold! Blizzard today, windy, cold, but not that cold. About -11c so far. Its all about indoor flying these days! The props on small drones like this can cause some pretty good finger damage. Dont think I would fly that inside. It does seem like a good flier over all. The upgrades look pretty good. Hi Steve,
    It’s your fellow Ottawan and follower! Thank you very much for a great video.
    I have the Firefly 1.6'' Baby Quad HD, but I’m still tempted to buy this little guy! I have a lot of 1S batteries and my TinyHawk 2 is getting to its end of life.
    It would have been nice to include prop guards like they did with the Baby Quad. I realize it’s smaller, but the prop guards are not that heavy, and would come handy for indoors, just in case you bump into something that you know your better wife would not be very happy with you.
    Cheers,
    Sam

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

      I think they made this more for outdoor flight so they did not think prop guards were necessary. Us Canadians do like to fly indoors during the cold winters.

      @@CAPTAINDRONE798 I don’t know about that because as I mentioned they did include the guards on the 1.6” Baby HD and on the their HD Hex which are both bigger and are also made primarily for outdoor.

    Would you be able to do a video of how you bind up the old Nano baby and/or new Nano shark to the transmitter? Did you have to configure the elrs receivers off expressLrs configurator program and use a binding phrase? Recently bought the Nano baby and cant get the drone to arm in beta flight or bind to the lite radio 3 it says binding is not supported in the drone/beta flight cli . Or if there is some software that I am unaware of? Great videos!

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  2 года назад +2

      ELRS keeps changing so that is the reason I have not yet made a video. Once they stop changing how things work and agree on a standard then all will be well.
      For yourself, all you have to do is put the drone on the same firmware as your ELRS RADIO 3 (that is the simplest way to bind). Ask betaflight what version of Express LRS they Lite Radio 3 is on and then when you know it, take your drone and update it to the same firmware in Express LRS configurator via Wifi. There should be plenty of videos showing you how. The other simple way is to cross your fingers and hope they are both on the same firmware now, then just put your drone in BIND mode by plugging in a battery quickly 3 times (plug it in, lights come on, remove battery.... do it again.... then on 3rd time leave battery connect and drone will remain in bind mode, then try the bind on your radio).

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798

      @@CAPTAINDRONE798 With all do respect, I just watched your video AGAIN. You did not mention anything about flashing the latest firmware. If I missed it twice, then I apologize. Do you have a video how to flash ELRS receiver on a new drone and the radio? Thanks for the help!

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  2 года назад +1

      @@pmagilke It was your first question of asking if I had the ELRS version, which was mentioned in the video, as well as the Radio and ELRS transmitter used. I don't yet have a video on how to flash because the ELRS system is open source and it keeps changing every two weeks, so if I make a video one week, that procedure is probably no longer applicable in two weeks. Eventually they'll come to a common standard in the ELRS world.... currently it seems every manufacturer is trying to pump out ELRS controllers and drones and the standard keeps changing.

Use the chainsaw to get to the site, the blowtorch to unfreeze the lock, and the sledgehammer to knock the door open so you can actually fix what's wrong.

    My was a turd. Basically unflyable out of the box because of the horizon drifting. Not my first quad either. Had I hopes for this thing but.......hopes were quickly dashed, especially considering what these go for compared to others on the market. I' mean you basically have whoop motors on a slightly more expensive frame and and AIO board.

    • @CAPTAINDRONE798
      @CAPTAINDRONE798  Год назад

      Yikes! Horizon drifting? Perhaps you mean something else as in the FPV hobby it is 100% up to the pilot to fly and control the drone. Now if you come from the world of GPS drones or altitude hold drones where the drone sits still in the air and you can release the joysticks, then I understand your confusion. This is certainly not such a drone.

    • @BryonGaskin
      @BryonGaskin Год назад

      @@CAPTAINDRONE798 I am specifically talking about the horizon drift that occurs on an FPV drone like this that is either due to bad accelerometer, bent props, bad PID tunes, or anything that else that causes excessive vibrations to the accelerometer. Normally, you can adjust the lowpass by putting it to "acc_lpf_hz = 1" and that should cause it to ignore most vibrations. In other words you can't go buy them at a hobby shop or a battery store. If you don't order them with the drone, like I didn't do unknowingly, you either switch out the connector or wait another 4-6 weeks for them to be shipped. First , batteries are not specific since this is the FPV hobby. We all use whatever we wish & most in the hobby have a pile of everything and plenty of go between connectors for batteries we get from Amazon. Second, ELRS changes continuously since it is open source. It is by far the most confusing for a newbie to figure out. In your case, the drone was built in the era when ELRS was one way, so trying the current way to use ELRS (bind/configure) won’t work. Binding on this drone can be done by placing the drone in bind mode simply by attaching a battery three times in a row… attach once, when you see lights, remove battery. Do the same thing again, then on the third battery connection leave it connected and you are in bind mode. Everyone in the FPV hobby started at level zero and we all thought why is it so confusing. After awhile, and doing plenty of research, our heads filled with enough knowledge to get by. Keep at it so you can pass on your knowledge to the next newbie to the FPV hobby.

      Thank you! Yes very new; I have spent a lot of time trying to learn. Figured elrs would be best and easiest; I have a Zorro transmitter, also elrs, stuck there too. Everything set up right so far, all the switches, but at the end trying to bind, on page 2 'setup' the 'Receiver' line doesn't have the '[BND]' option. I can change the receiver number from 00-63, nothing else happens.
      Maybe next weekend I'll factory reset this transmitter and start from scratch.
      I'll get there, thank you for all the great info, much appreciated!

      @@SonicFlyte There are vids out on ELRS and Zorro. To setup a drone in the radio it is identical to my Zorro setup video for the 4 in 1 radio, except when it comes to receiver type you select CRSF (crossfire). Then to bind you press the SYSTEM button & select the ELRS script item under TOOLS, then scroll down to bind. I’m writing this all from memory so hopefully I didn’t miss a step & mess you up.

    A shame you couldn't put it through it's paces.
